So, I finally booted up F1 2012 (PC) since I got it a long time ago and wiped off the dust off my G27. Just by that sentence alone, you probably figured it that I haven't played in ages. That is in fact true.

Anyway, wtf. Is there something i'm missing? I ran the logitech profile software and set the degrees of rotation to 271. Loaded F1 2012 from the software and bam, 900 degrees still. I was braking properly, but man oh man, i'm sure that it is on 900 degrees. Does the wheel suppose to lock up on 271 or will it always be on 900, but the steering input limits it to 271? On one turn on Melbourne, no matter what I do, I can't turn the car. I'm sure i'm not overspeeding and not over/under braking since i'm letting it cruise on 1st gear. I have to turn the wheel 1.5-2.5 just to get the car to turn.

In short, does the wheel locks up to 271 when it is set on 271? Or I can still turn the wheel 900 degrees even though it is set on 271, but the steering stops when I hit 271?

the 271 degree profile is for the g25 which has a "switch" behind the wheel that puts stops in place to lock the wheel into 271 mode. Sadly the g27 does not do this. I haven't tried the g27 on a computer yet, but I'm betting that even if it did work with the g27, you're not going to like it since you won't have the stops.

^ Are you sure? I think you're talking about DFP that had a switching physical lock. G27 definitely doesn't have one and I don't think G25 had one either

For the OP, when you set degrees on the profiler there should be a 'lock' felt at that point where you set the rotation degrees. It's provided by the FFB but it has to be there. You're probably right that you get a 900 degree mode. Check the in-game settings.

My bada, you're right, I was thinking of the sequential lock for the shifter. At any rate, the profile is for the g25 all the same, the g27 is 900 degree only.

Ok, so I know for sure in GT5 you can't use the wheel in 270 degree mode, but I am not so sure about on the PC. I find conflicting info online and I have no experience yet otherwise.

It doesn't lock at all. I'm okay with it not locking as long as the input is stopped at the 271 range. Sadly, it isn't. Went towards the 900 lock, there is still input around that range. I guess I'll to drive the F1 with 900 degrees.
