GoPro Question

For my Dad's birthday, my Mum and I have decided to get him a GoPro camera, since he's wanted one for quite a while.

The question is which version to get. Looking on their website, there are multiple different ones - outdoor, motorsports etc..

He will want it to be mounted on his Ariel Atom, for both track days and driving round the countryside, but equally as much for skiing, most likely mounted to his helmet, so I don't really know which one we should get. Also, the original version seems to be quite a bit cheaper - in what ways is the newer version better?

From what I can work out, the motorsports edition seems to be the way to go, but I'm unsure quite which, and they're quite a lot of money for us to get the wrong one :scared:

The only difference between the Motorsports one and others is the accessories it comes with.

So buy the Motorsports one for his birthday and the helmet accessories for Fathers Day(If you celebrate it) or Christmas.👍

It looks like the newer one just has more options, the older one should work fine.
 
Tekzilla recently had a segment about the new GoPro line and the various accessories (one of the presenters does off road racing and uses them). I'll try to hunt it down the next time I'm at my computer, unless someone beats me to it.

Ahh, I get it now.. :lol: I'm thinking that could be the way forward now, I reckon he'd want the latest one though, because he always has to have the best...
