Gran Turismo 7 Master Car List

Yes and no; regardless of the specifics of the car it's straight up listed as "Supra GT500" - and the Nissan is similarly "GT-R GT500".

That could hint at a couple of things, but I'm mainly thinking "they don't want specific names on cars only for you to then turn them into other cars in the livery editor and still be listed as the original", rather than "BASE MODEL!".
Or have different liveries of the same basic car available as color options instead of separate vehicles.

What's been scanned isn't relevant - we've got a list of about 20 cars we know have been scanned to date, several of which are in GTPlanet front page articles, but still aren't in any GT game after several years.

Cars don't make it into the game until they've made it into the game, and this thread is only for vehicles seen in official GT7 media, as made clear by the very first thing in the very first post.
Is there a list floating around somewhere of cars that we know that have been scanned for use in a Gran Turismo game? I'm curious to see what we're still waiting on.

That's what I figured are under the covers in the Brighton Antiques building. There are two of them.
You’re good. I remember someone mentioned the Cobra (maybe that was you) but it had to be a different one. We’ll see… It would make sense for PD to include such a unique car.

The shots of the Emily liveried Lambo have the Porsche in the fore/background and they have the WT liveries from this race:

Yeeeeesss. Good spot. That's why the Porsche, in the background, looks different in this pic Famine posted.

This probably doesn't meet the thread criteria, but this is what I've come up with. As we all should know by now, until you can actually drive the car in the finished game, take this with a grain of salt.

Cars we have evidence of being scanned:

Lamborghini Espada
Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car
Lancia Rally 037
Pagani Zonda
SGC Ferrari P4/5 Competizione (unlikely to be added due to licensing disagreements)

Bruce Levens' 1951 Ford Coupe (2016 SEMA Gran Turismo Award)
Phil Robles' 1992 Honda Civic EX (2017 SEMA Gran Turismo Award)

Cars that are M.I.A. after being scanned and/or earmarked for future inclusion:

Hyundai Veloster
Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak
Mitsubishi Stallion 2.6 GSR-VR
Nissan NOS Energy Drink 370Z
Toyota apr Prius GT300

GoPro 'Rampage' 1970 Chevrolet Camaro (2014 SEMA Gran Turismo Award)
Greening Auto Company 1971 Ford Maverick (2018 SEMA Gran Turismo Award)

Ferrari 500 Mondial Pininfarina Coupe CN.0422MD '54 (2012 Pebble Beach Gran Turismo Trophy)
Maserati A6GCS Spider CN.2078 '54 (2014 Pebble Beach Gran Turismo Trophy)
Cunningham C-4R Competition Roadster CN.5217 '52 (2015 Pebble Beach Gran Turismo Trophy)
Ferrari 330 P4 Drogo Spyder '66 (2016 Pebble Beach Gran Turismo Trophy)
Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer '29 (2017 Pebble Beach Gran Turismo Trophy)
AAR Eagle Indy Car '66 (2018 Pebble Beach Gran Turismo Trophy)
Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Zagato '31 (2019 Pebble Beach Gran Turismo Trophy)

From the type of car, the Cunningham C-4R Competition Roadster would fit the profile, but those double headlights just don't match. I don't think that's an optical illusion either.

Firstly, what's in GT Sport isn't relevant to GT7; just look at all the tracks buried in GT5 - were they in GT6? Nope. Stuff buried in GT Sport's code is simply stuff buried in GT Sport's code. We have no way of knowing what's licenced for GT7, and looking at GT Sport's code doesn't actually help.

Secondly, whether it appears in the game as a Jeep or a Ford, the cars are identical (which was the point of them). There's only two ways to really tell (one of which is less definitive than the other) and we'll probably never find out short of the PD modelling team (or the car's owner) sharing the modelling process of that specific car. It could easily be a model of one labelled as the other.

Most importantly of all though, the list is not definitive. Everything we've seen so far might not be in the final game - as those of us who remember GT2's pre-launch promotionals will attest. I've merely put it as a Ford GPW so that we don't end up getting quoted far and wide as confirming a brand new manufacturer to the series when we literally cannot tell.

We will not find out until there's a definitive screenshot showing the car's name, or PD/Sony publishes a car list or, at worst, the game launches. Then we'll know which it is. Until then there's no solid info either way.

It isn't a car so...

Yeah, we have some great premium cars from GT5 and 6 missing in GTS. I always wondered if it would be easier to just update the GT6 models for GTS (and GT7).

Also, I'm pretty sure the Toyota 7, the Suzuki GXS-R/4 Concept, Caterham Seven Fireblade, Chaparral 2J and Chrysler Prowler weren't premium, they just had a basic interior, due to those cars being open top.

Quick question: can we count the cars that we haven't seen in any of the trailers so far, but have made an appearance in the 2020 GT World Finals' virtual stage into the Master Car List? It kinda dawned on me when I realized that the "virtual stage" is in fact set in the now-confirmed Brighton Antiques.

Whatever happen to the 2017 sema winning wide body eg civic?

Probably the same that happened to all the SEMA winners so far. Some have been in previous games, some are still missing. In GTS there was none, I believe? And in GT7 I'd assume they will prioritise "normal" cars.

It's been scanned, but we haven't seen it in a game yet.

@Famine, any chance we get some sort of identifier in the list to show which are new cars to the series?

No rush, mind you.
I've flagged new-but-old cars and new-and-new cars (and brands) on the list now. I've also added the Porsche 550 - after all, if I've got the "Ford GPW" and Porsche VGT in there and we're not sure about those, why not?

Let me know if I've missed any.

That's awesome!
Just a small correction - Aston Martin DB5 1964 was never featured in previous GT games, it's new-and-new, so to say.

From the type of car, the Cunningham C-4R Competition Roadster would fit the profile, but those double headlights just don't match. I don't think that's an optical illusion either.
This might be a point of contention that runs until March lol. But unless this car is some long lost Karmann Ghia without a windshield frame then the 550 is the only thing that fits, being as it looks exactly like a Karmann Ghia minus the bumpers and windshield. The real-life blue single-seat 550 has been posted several times in here already. Until we get another photo we won't find out whether or not the headlights are a graphical anomaly but keep in mind that the 550's headlights are actually inset inside a lens that could cause strange reflections.

Whatever that car is at the end of the Porsche trailer certainly sheds light onto how much PD have been working with Porsche these last few years.
Wouldn't it be nifty if the Porsche Unseen collection coincided with them being included in GT? Talk about an exclusive.

When you look at the two cars, the Porsche’s headlight lenses are more taller and oval shaped whereas the car in the screenshot seems to have more symmetrical round headlights. It could be an illusion of course.
Also wanted to note, the wheels actually look similar.
