Gran Turismo 7 Master Car List

I wonder if the Ford GT in question, will be a Gr3 or Gr4 car. Exterior wise, it's basically the road car with a wing on it, which would fit well with the remaining Gr4 cars.
The Gr. classification is gone.

Gran Turismo 7 is officially ditching GT Sport‘s somewhat-controversial car classification system in favor of a return to the “Performance Points” last seen in Gran Turismo 6. However, Yamauchi made it clear that the new Points system is much more sophisticated than its predecessor.

What I saw in the trailer is that N-Classification is gone, but Gr. classification still exists. Does this quote mean they removed that too in a newer build?
The N-classes and Gr. X were removed in favor of the refurbished PP system (cars that were formerly in either of the two now compete through PP matching against cars of a similar PP region).

The race car categories (Gr. 1, Gr. 2, Gr. 3, Gr. 4 and Gr. B) will feature the classification, but also with the PP system to ensure a more effective BoP and even playing field.

The Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car is a Gr. 3 vehicle. I don't see how the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II (the original version of the car with the white paint job and with no front canards) will not be any different to that.

Especially when you realize it has 17 more hp and is 35kg lighter (607hp/1130kg/MR/SC), it fits Gr. 3 regulations well and is in line with FIA GT1-style Gr. 3 cars. The lack of the front canards mean that it might have a little less downforce, but a slightly higher top speed.

Hallelujah for Gr. X being gone. Now I can race a Jaguar D-Type or a Shelby Daytona against other road legal cars like it should have been from the beginning.

Now I will make the checklist of returning premiums, by their debut in GTHD-GT6, in GTS and GT7. Also I will mark similar variants to returnees (EDIT I have also added RMs because they can be replicated now basically). Also I will add +# to indicate number of returnees from respective debut games.

The crazy thing about this Ford GT is that in GT5 and GT6, it was actually significantly faster through corners than the newer version black version.

Maybe the Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car (GT5 Prologue car) is more focusing to the real FIA GT3 class and the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II (GT4 car) was created to simulate a Ford GT pure track toy or Le mans itself, different approaches i think

I think overall standard cars in GT5 and 6 were faster than premium cars. I remember something like the Zonda C12S being faster than a 458 Italia and even a MP4-12C. Either it was faster or just easier to do a fast lap in it. So, there's that.

Yes, but since that car does not exist in real life, they could very well just make it a Gr.4 car, by reducing the hp. I'm just saying that when it comes to it's looks, it resembles much more the remaining Gr.4 cars in the game, rather than Gr.3, which usually have much more aerodynamic features.

Also, the Spec II shown today, has updated headlights to the production model. In GT4, 5 and 6, it used to have the headlights from the concept car '02.

Also also, there is another version of the Ford GT LM, a wingless one that had a Gulf livery.

The Ford GT LM Spec II was intended to look like a contemporary GT car that would race at LeMans, at that it looks perfectly similar along the lines of cars like the 550 Maranello, the C5-R, the Viper GTS-R, and various others.

Back then sportscars didn't have such extreme looks as modern GTE or GT3 racing cars.

YAY the Ford GT LM Spec II is back! I wonder if it's the real deal or a standard Ford GT with a livery and a wing...
I would hope they wouldn't make an avatar for just a livery.

Though, Kaz did say we can add rollcages to some cars now. I guess you could make something super close to the original Spec II race car if you wanted to. (combined with the livery editor, aero bits, and tuning)

Just realized that the car inside the Weight Reduction Stage 1 icon resembles the Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI (18inch BBS Wheel Option) '10 which was last seen in GT6. Wonder if the actual car will appear in the full game?
I also find interesting that both GT5 and GT6 use a disassembled Impreza WRX STI '10 model on the weight reduction menu.

If I may ask, where was the 370Z spotted?

Also, shouldn't it be be painted blue in the list? I've double checked, that car has been in previous GTs, but not Sport. In Sport there's the 350Z.

Something about the GR 86. In Japan: Toyota though, at least in Japan, is offering the 86 across three distinct trim levels – called domestically the RC, SZ and RZ – with the former a stripped-back, manual-only offering designed to lower the entry point to the 86 range.
Now, the GR86 ‘21 we have in GT Sport, doesn’t have the 7” TFT screen that, apparently, is in the upper trims. Having a look at the Toyota GazLo Racing website, the debut of the GR 86 is displayed at the Japan Prototype. Wonder if the model we have in GT Sport, will transition to GT7.

I sure hope we just get the one we already have in GTS. There would be no point in adding a different one (and possibly both coming to the game) with slight, if any, changes. There are plenty other cars in the world they could spend their time and resources modelling over a new variant of the same car.

I really hope "high roller" cars are attainable in this game - it's such a waste to put all of the work into these cars to put them in the game and then make them practically unattainable.
Polyphony claimed that GT7 is more of a car collecting game than its predecessors. Hopefully they make these cars no more expensive than Cr. 5,000,000 at most, as it is very time-consuming to get to Cr. 20,000,000 for a single car.

Another reason why all cars should be in Arcade Mode as rental cars, FM4-style.

Photo is not mine, found this from GT Complete at Twitter.

Well, this seems to be the full rear of what seems to be the mysterious Porsche that's been on everyone's minds recently. It looks like a fusion of the Carrera GT, 918 Spyder and Mission R all into one car.
