Hello, just a tiny mistake here, we never had the '14 Polo GTI in a previous Gran Turismo title (one of the reasons I was so excited when I saw it in the trailer)

One think I noticed no one has mentioned yet.

On the Video we can see a Porsche 993 that is mentioned as carrera RS '96
View attachment 1088168

Even though the current 993 on GT Sport is the Clubsport version as '95 model
View attachment 1088169

This means that potentially there are now 2 versions of 993
Oh man, I didn't notice that before. I mean, I noticed that the aero on the 993 in that trailer was different from the one in GT Sport, but I just assumed that PD made it a parts option. Much like the wing on the Countach in GT6.

Isn’t the Polo 2014 a new car to the GT series?

I hope GT7 will reach the 700 mark vehicle at the release of the game and more with the update afterwards.
They've advertised "over 420". It might go up a bit with cars they finish in the new few months, to maybe 450/460, but it isn't going to increase by 66%.

GTS went from 150 to 168 between announcement of that number and release a few months later, IIRC.

Just read that there is a planned Sony "State of Play" On Wednesday. Not going to make any huge assumptions but given the GT7 PR train is clearly in force, maybe (And I strongly Emphasize "Maybe" here) there could be abit more to see there.

Apologies if is this has already been picked up, although I can’t see it on the guide or car list at the start of this thread.

The car in this screenshot could be the MINI Cooper ‘S’ ‘65. The back wheel and boot shape look about right, and it is between the Mercedes and Porsche listings.

Having it around 450/460 at launch would only feed our curiosities further with what the additional cars will be. The fact we are seeing some more Porsche 911 variants, Polo GTI ‘14, another version of the 300 SL etc, we only saw a glimpse of some new European cars and with plenty of new Japanese and American cars to be revealed alongside perhaps mor European cars, the count could indeed reach the 450/460 mark. I think the “over 420” was merely a target and with some cars definitely still being developed and added in the last remaining few months, I think we could definitely see it being “over 450” but only time will tell.

It's mostly like that in previous games too though, to recount...
  • GT1 = "Feel the power of 140 authentic sports cars!" = exactly 140
  • GT2's "over 500" = 650
  • GT3's "over 200" = 181... the one that is wrong
  • GT4's "over 700" = 722
  • GTPSP's "over 800" = 833
  • GT5's "over 1000" = 1075
  • GT6's "over 1200" = 1241
  • GT7's "over 150" = 168 (launch)
450/460 is "over 420" and that'd mean there were no changes in their claims.

Right now, if we assume that all GTS cars (338) are ported over to GT7, and that we have now 44 new cars (in the OP, both the 300 SL and the AMG GT R are writen in black), this brings the total to 382. So now we have some 40 cars yet to be seen.

Yep, seems fair enough to me.

The one I can't see is the second BMW 3.0 CSL. I've seen the cropped screenshot of it, but I can't see it where it's supposed to be on the video.

I never would dispute their claims for the amount of cars that PD announce for the new Gran Turismo title. I think our perception of ”over” vs their perception of “over” are fairly apart but not very far. It’s just for this game, “420” cars+ as opposed to day “450+” for example seems a specific amount they announce as previous games are mostly a multiple of 100 (except GT1 and GTS).

I think this a bit crazy, what's with wanting too know every car in game before it's released. why not know and get surprises when it's released, xbox have been overplaying FH5 and it just ruining any surprise of when 1st play. Games become less enjoyable when you know all the ins n outs of the game before it's even released and you just don't have that excitement on loading it up, oh the days of getting home and loading your game up without knowing too much about it.

It's at 1:33 of the video, but it has to be brighten up to see it clearly.

I did find something strange at 1:32. If brighten up again, this would appear:
Screenshot 2021-10-23 at 7.47.34 PM.png

Screenshot 2021-10-23 at 4.24.12 PM.png

It appears under the "United Kingdom" section of the Car Index and has a few unfamiliar shapes. Perhaps it could be returning models from GT Sport.

It's the one on the left that's the problem:

1635002004585.png

The one on the right is listed as "3.0 CSL '71", but the one on the left appears as "BMW 3.0" followed by obscured text. Even pulling the 4K video down and going frame by frame I can't see why people are saying it's a BMW Motorsport racing model. The physical model in the thumbnail is identical (and the M3 1989 also looks like the same model, which is super odd).

I did just spot the "Color Variation" of the F1 W08 though, so that's a bonus.

If all cars from GT Sport are being ported over, the main list on 1st page of this thread is missing the Alfa 4C Gr4 car
If all cars from GT Sport are being ported over, it's missing a lot more than that. GT Sport has 330+ cars and the first page list has 220...

It's a reasonable assumption that all content is coming over, and Kaz has said pretty much that, but if we haven't seen it in official GT7 media, it's not going on the list.

They give us the old BMW 3.0 CSL '71.
I think the BMW 3.0 CSL could be the newer compound which they did as 25th anniversary special edition.
Remember 25th birthday of GT.

And this would be awesome with both liveries!

Edit: Me watching some old car magazines and I saw that the whole name of the newer is one would be:

BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R

But while reading the article they just say: BMW 3.0 CSL,
which is nearly the name we see.

Another variant of the M3 E30 and what appears to be the 3.0 CSL in road and race form:

The M3 Sport Evo can also be seen, so the new M3 isn't just that car renamed:

From the top pic, looks like the stripes and aero bits are more visible.

Why is the 1954 300SL not listed as a returning car from GT6? I don't recall that being in GT Sport at all.

EDIT: Looking at the 3.0CSLs again, my guess is that the left one might be another variation of one. Like how there's 2 e30 M3s shown on that index. But yeah, I can see a front splitter on the left one where the 1971 model doesn't have. It's blurry, but I can see it.

If the Color Variation of the W08 is coming back along with Lewis Hamilton's car, I'm assuming we still won't be able to make a livery for it?

for the car next to the roadster looks like it has enormous headlights and a longer hood than the alfa romeo. Wonder if it could be a Rolls Royce Phantom II:

View attachment 1086426

Or maybe the Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer:

View attachment 1086427
The Alfa Romeo’s hood is pretty long. The car in the screenshot has chrome trim along the length of the hood. It also has a raked windshield. The grill is a bit raked as well. It matched the Alfa silhouette.
