For all the debates about not having up-to-date GT3 cars and not using new tracks, I feel like if Daily C just had that level of strategy variation and time-of-day usage most weeks, a lot of people would be happy with the result.

Looks like one of the Fanatecs have failed right before the start.

EDIT: Looks to be fixed with a firmware update.

Really enjoyed the Grand Valley race. Tactical masterclass doing the 1 stop like that against all the predictions. I thought Kaj might have done enough but he kind of fell into no mans land when the others all one stopped.

Afterwards, I read the YouTube "chat" for all of 5 seconds, and everyone was commenting (in a derogatory way) about the female presenters outfit.

Actually gross. I'm quite glad this forum is nice (or at least moderated well enough that it isn't a completely toxic binfest). Anyway I thought I'd share my thoughts, don't know why. Let's enjoy racing and watching racing 😊

Great battles, especially for the wins. Rousing as always. BUT. For the Manufacturers, I was so close (tbh been multiple times) to finally predicting a correct winner, still haven't been able to do it. Predicted Miyazono for Nations. So lifetime winnings of grand 0 credits :grumpy:

Xiaomi wouldn't have been my first, second, or even Nth choice, but a four-door car is always nice to see in GT. I like EVs, and the more we get, the higher the chance of them being properly integrated is.

As always for the live events, here are some viewing stats:
  • New record for combined peak: 28.3K during Manufacturers
  • New record for single feed: 17.7K for Manufacturers @ Twitch, almost doubling the previous record *
  • I believe it's the third time when Manufacturers is more popular than Nations

* Missed Twitch for Round 2 last year, so it's possible the previous record was higher than 9K

Great, now i have to ask how the female presenter looked like and that maybe comes out gross as well. ;-)

Cracking day, great racing and it's been great to meet some of the regulars from here in person too.
Now, I know I picked a Spaniard to win as I had just come back from Spain, but I can't remember which one

The lag on the on-stage interviews was somewhat confusing as the big screen was about a second behind live.

Also, when it comes to colours, I prefer blue to red personally:

PS Gallo uses chase cam!

Awesome seeing all the cars out front. Even a few cheeky picks in there like the CX-30, which I found quite amusing. :P I'm absolutely in love with that AE86 as well!

Of course, it was also great seeing people such as @Tidgney there, and of course the man himself, Kaz!

That was a fun day. Some good races with some brilliant action, particularly on the last lap.

Good to meet and chat with @CTRL Garage @kirethk @sirjim73 and @Jules_r

Jules, Kaz & translator-san and a posse trying to fix a fanatec issue in the background.

Great shots 👍

Thanks for helping to make the day even more enjoyable @daan @CTRL Garage @kirethk @Jules_r

Great pics. Kaz spent a lot of time looking at the Toyota.

Seeing Translator-San was the highlight today for me :D

It's been too long since the Orange Box in 2016
Looks like it was another great event!

I'm really sad I couldn't be there. Hope you all had a great time!

:gtpflag:
You were missed. Think you were almost the only forum member not there today

Had quite a few people come up to say hi, but I'm aware I didn't meet quite as many as were actually there - media was corralled a bit, so not quite as much chance to mingle as I'd have liked. Always a peril on working trips!

Great to meet everyone I crossed paths with today!

The racing was fantastic other than Carrazza getting a 6star roulette shaft all day long, Cardinal getting gear issues and Sato being put sideways in a braking zone.

@Jules_r @sirjim73 @daan great company and listening to my constant stories.

@Tidgney and friend for entertaining my onstage rig inspection. Ps you definitely have the skills to create a DIY DD I showed you.

Karl(if you ever see this) appreciate the chat we had, we make mistakes but learning from them to grow and not repeat them is key, hope to see you bounce back after the issues this years qualification had, even if they were self inflicted.

The production of the event as a whole was outstanding. Totally different being there in person but in such a good way, the crowd reacting to the action was soo good.

Definitely recommend going to an event if you can!

I genuinely don't know how these guys got round the bridge+chicane complex, in that car, 30 times, sometimes side-by-side without a huge accident happening.
They're really really good at just about every aspect of the game

ZEE
I swear I saw GTPlanet's editor in chief and author of the GTPEDIA, the Legend himself, Andrew Evans, somewhere in the front row!!!

But this sign guy cracked me up when Tom and jimmy just stood there talking, its so true!

Edit: Found him!
Wasn't expecting to see Mike Channel from Outside Xbox. Now I gotta rewatch these streams just to see who else is there.

Soooo, i had no time yesterday. Who won? I'm a bit confused by the postings. Subaru in the Manufacturers and who won Nations?

Thank you!
