............. silent .. I've never heard anything new about GT ... whats their status?

Anyone can confirms GT5 is still happening/going ? :***(

I just visited a few of the official EU GT sites... Works fine..
 
Yeah, websites being down probably means that the company has disappeared and the game won't come out.

Or the server their sites are on is just having issues.

One of those 2 is more likely than the other one.

Making everyone buy such a hideously overpriced piece of crap like GT5P and then not giving us any news about GT5 - just a bunch of lame downloads with an extra track and 30 extra cars. They're just lying, scamming, useless lamers.

I'll go along with that Famine. I'm almost to the point of being DONE with GT5P I mean really how many 550 to 650pp races at Suzuka or Fuji can be tolerated? I very rarely play GT5P anymore and the event updates have been less than inspiring.

YES! PD is lazy, they gave us FREE update with over 30 cars! and one DULL looking TRACK! oi I need to write more hate mail to PD!
 
I am removing my g25 and gt5p from PS3, just bought xbox 360 and i am enjoying forza2. When the gt5 arrives, i will read about it from reviews and maybe if my friends tell me it's good, i will buy it. I never thought i will buy xbox 360, but due to lack of good online and few tracks, and primarily info about gtp5 or gt5, i did, and i am glad. Race pro is coming out, good online features, and lots of fun with my friends, and i don't mind paying for quality online service.

Reason why i bought ps3 in the first place was cause of gtp5, and updates that we will have. I love the series, but this is getting ridiculous. What is the difference from 200000 poly cars and 100000 poly cars and reflections on the side of the car. Who admires those things while driving.Those things could be incorporated in the replay. Gameplay is what it counts, graphic should be secondary, not primarily as it is in gt5p.

Why don't they record proper sounds if they are perfectionists, engine sounds while driving,under stress, not standing still. I want sound of a car to give me chills when i turn my speakers loud and press throttle, and not to get a headache from wind noises. Do they check for bugs in online events, in the penalty for each track, guess not, well not properly as perfectionists would.


I can understand that gtp5 is demo, but still it's a good testing ground for online and other features. we don't need to get full access for those features, but at least some. One small feature would be nice, and that is to voice talk with friends, would improve online a lot.

I just hope that PD/Sony would think about getting some info of what is going on,cause at the end M$ will win, at least with racing gamers, well PD pushed ME to xbox360.

sorry for the long post, i am in a bad mood :-(btw. i am not a fanboy of any console, i am a fanboy of racing

I am thinking that since the sites are up now and all is fine this should be closed before it turns into another "Polyphony won't tell me information I want to hear and so they and Gran Turismo now suck and thus Grid, Forza and Race Pro are infinitely better!!!!!!1!!!!!!!11!1one" thread.

I already have a few versions of that, not to mention the occasional off-topic rants in the rest of the Prologue forum.

Now, if we could turn it into a "Why does online suck" thread or add an online petition then it would be fresh, new, and likely very effective. In fact, it might even have Kazunori Yamauchi begging us to be nicer to him and negotiating release dates. Heck, he might even be willing to just give us a downloadable add-on to turn Prologue into the full GT5 so that we don't have to pay another dime.

Yes that did tickle me :) but just for everybody else who doesn't know me on here and to put the record straight and correct things - I am impatient and desperatley want to see the full game so much (and even the odd update) but famines quote above was made up.

Anyways I've taken a back seat with regards to 'moaning' as stated by me many times before - you have more chance of winning the lottery than PD releasing information about GT5.

I've just been watching the newbies on this forum express their dissapointment about the lack of information etc from PD and then saw how they were responded to by other forum members on here as if they were cussing somebodys parents (I mean what is all that about?? ) and can see that I'm certainly not alone and it made me realise that I wasn't in the wrong afterall.

Anyway I'm going to fade into the background again and log in every day as I do just to see if anything new is on here and not upset the applecart.

Um, just because large groups of people agree on something it doesn't make it correct, or suddenly not annoying. Just look at government.


Did you ever think that repeatedly hearing the same thing over and over and multiple new threads devoted to it when there are multiple already open might be why some of us are tired of it?

Trust me, I wish that I could hear news too but I am not creating new threads or going on and on and on about it. If all the whining going on about no new info, gaming blogs making jokes, and online petitions won't make them cough up info, then what is the point? All I would accomplish is wearing out my keyboard, and getting on the nerves of people with patience.
 
I didn't say it was the 'correct' thing to do - I was just stating that many people use forums to express their feelings and views.

Sometimes when people raise issuses and enough people shout somthing gets done about it - but now I know it doens't work like that around here and with PD and i've stated it a zillion times - give me a break - its so boring defending myself!!!!!!!!!!

What annoys me more than moaners are people who haven't got anything better to do other than to 'moan' about the moaners and jump on the band wagon.

See, thats what you don't seem to get, your views aren't "in the wrong" its the constant moaning, thats what we are all sick of. It doesn't matter what the moaning is about, you could all be moaning about how the Earth is eventually going die, its just the fact almost every new member goes on about it and its just boring.

You wouldn't have to keep defending yourself if you didn't keep going on about how you are treated wrongly when you clearly are not - you are treated the same as everyone else.
 
PD Fanboys forever :D if PD will bring no GT5 they will anyway support PD and talk them good...

Thats no good way to deal with all the GT fanboys in the world! nothing new since 3-4 months (officialy since august? then 6 months) WTF? they can say only one comment,maybe "we stopped GT for a while" or "we got problems with GT" or something else and everybody will know whats up with the game...

I don't think this is the case. They really work absolutely hard now to get the game done as soon as possible. No exhibitions, no screenshots, no Prologue updates, just hard work on final GT5. I know that. But I have been struggling few months with lack of info too. Just nice set of screenshots or new trailer with all the progress, new tracks, cars and features would be very nice right now.
 
@ threadstarter: Ofcourse there's a lack of communication. Maybe it's just the 'japanese' way, I don't know.
Thing is, I would really like some updates myself, we haven't heard anything for quite some time. But I'm not ready to give up on GT5P or my ps3 system for that fact.
I still play GT5P online with friends, and there are still lots of good other games on the ps3.

So I really don't see what all the fuss is about. It's a demo, you have to WAIT for the full game. Agreed, we could use a little more info or updates, but I don't see lot's of that happening.

IN the information era we don't have news on our favorite game.
Polyphony is disappointing me very much!!!!!

it's not the waiting for full game that disappoints me, it's the no info about full game or gt5p. they can just say that they are really focused on gt5, and that there will be no updates for prologue, i could live with this and wait for a full release of gt5. But i also think that we deserved some info, after all, we all bought gt5p. No info is never a good solution. If they want to tease us, they can with little info.
 
Yep, there's 2 way too deal about this long time without info

-1: there's indeed a big problem that they don't know how too solve, or how much time
they will need to solve it(= yes it would be cool for us too have some info about it...)

-2: we'll have a big surprise in the next months with the release very soon, i think Sony
is now focused on Killzone 2 and when the game is launched they will start with GT5.
Sony really need too do something too sell more PS3's, Killzone will help for this and
offcourse GT5 will help too if it is as advanced as they make us hope....
(then it's normal we don't have any news, cause we'll have a lot soon...)

really hope it's the 2nd situation....

In exactly the same way the Atlantic Ocean is full of bees.

You just know that the people whining about PD making everyone buy GT5P then giving them nothing (besides an extra track and 30 more cars) and not releasing any information are the same people who would whine when PD release another teaser trailer because they should be concentrating on making the game instead of making stupid videos.

And the same people who whine about how long it's taking would be the same ones who'll whine at the tiniest, tiniest factual inaccuracy in the game, saying PD should have taken longer to QA test it.


It'll be here when it gets here, folks. Nothing any of us can say will change that.
