I'm even more confused, sorry, English is not my first language

So inserting the key word, then you said that they already have FIA practice leaderboards on the official site? Which is what I'm asking in the first place.
No, I mean I wasn't talking about practice leaderboards, but about FIA championship results boards.

Hi, I haven't read the 17 pages of previous posts, so apologies if I'm duplicating previous posts. I only recently started playing GT Sport, and the game would be much much worse without your site, so huge thanks to you for creating it. Some things I'd like to see:

1. I think the stats for the cars are without BOP? E.g.
https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/carlist.php?cartype=2&order=acceleration
I was looking at that to pick cars to try for this week's Gr.4 daily race, and the stats didn't seem to match the performance of cars once BOP had been applied. It would be really useful to have a BOP checkbox that makes all the stats how the cars are with BOP, so you can pick the best cornering or acceleration etc.

2. When viewing a leaderboard, e.g.
https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/rankings.php?sec=daily&eid=18531
it would be great if it found where you are if you're a registered user, and also if it told you the total number of entries in the leaderboard, so it would tell you you're position x out of y, top z %. It would also be really helpful if it showed the car for each performance. I know we have the top 10 in game, but I'm finding the most popular car in the top 10 often doesn't work that well for me, so it would be useful to see which cars are a little bit less popular but still able to perform well.

Edit: thinking about it, I'm guessing the reason why it doesn't do 2 is because the API you use provides the leaderboard a page at a time? So you'd have to download the entire leaderboard every time a user requests it, which isn't acceptable.

I've also since thought that my reason for wanting this information is to know how competitive my current time is, to decide when I'm ready to do the race for the first time, but based on my racing yesterday I can see that if you're not in the first few pages for your region, you're not competitive, even at quite a low driver rating. I'm just inside the top 1000 for one of this week's races, and even though my driver rating is only 6406 at the moment, that top 1000 level of performance isn't a huge amount better than my current rating. So how about if, for registered users, it searched each page after loading to find the user, highlighted that row, and centred that row on the screen, so the user can more easily find their entry?

Sorry for the late answer.

1. The BoP view exists on K' but since there's not enough data, it staid on a beta stage only accessible via this (pretty useless) link.
Anyway, Polyphony Digital try to correct the BoP in order to balance cars as much as they can, so it's hard to avoid a drive test and a look at the leaderboards.

2. You gave the good reason in your edit ;)
On your full stat K' page, you probably saw a list of your past qualification times: it shows your usual and best past % gap. These are good references to keep in mind when looking at the leaderboards, since i indicate the % gap on all K' leaderboards (obviously not to take seriously on speedway). I made this with your use case in mind.

What's happening with the Brands Hatch leaderboards this week? There are 2 entries for each sub region, and the world leaderboard doesn't even show up at all.

It looks like PD created a new leaderboard for Brands Hatch, currently K' event list shows both (two leaderboard button per region). Why did they want to wipe this leaderboard? Did they make some undocumented changes on the track for this update*? I didn't find anything on GT Planet forum so far.
I will probably remove the old ones.

Example for Asia
Asia Old
Asia New

* it seems that the switch occurred yesterday way before the update, or that i'm reading the time wrongly due to timezone.

Edit: I'm surprised to see the Gordini in the Gr.X group.
Audi TT COUPE 3.2 QUATTRO 2003
Honda FIT HYBRID 2014
Porsche 962 C 1988
Renault R8 GORDINI 1966
Toyota SPRINTER TRUENO 3DOOR 1600GT APEX (AE86) 1983

I think there's scope for some interesting analysis of the relationship between driver rating and qualifying times.

I don't find the % time gap all that useful in isolation, because it's very dependent on the density of opportunities to differentiate performance. E.g. this week's Race A has 3 significant opportunities to differentiate performance over 3 minutes, whereas Race C has 9 over 70 seconds. So we'd expect the same standard of driver to get closer in % time terms for Race A than Race C, though it's mitigated to some extent by the slow acceleration in Race A causing the effect of the limited opportunities for differentiation to persist for a long time.

What would be really good is to see a graph of driver rating vs time, with a fitted trendline, for the entire leaderboard, but then we are back to the problem of not having access to the full leaderboard while the event is current. What I thought would be easy enough to do is to show the average driver rating for the currently viewed page? By looking at the average driver rating for the page you're on, and the pages before and after, you'd get a good idea of how your time compares to your driver rating.

At a higher level, a trendline for driver rating vs K' Speed Score would be interesting.

Better late than never... I eventually got the time to calculate, for a selection of tracks:
the % Gap in time between the top time and the time of the player ranked at 20% of all contender, in all Sport Qualification from the past 11 months.

I did want to know more about the actual selectivity of various track for a while.
My conclusion here is that for most of tracks, variation on a given track is more important than variation from track to track.

Milouse,
I'm planning to set up an account on the Asian/Oceania server. I'm trying to decide which country to pick for my home country. Does your data show if any countries in that region don't have any players registered yet? Maybe one of those tiny island nations?
Thank you

Hi,
i far as i know, they are 76 different "countries" in GT Sport internal tags.
I don't know which "countries" goes in which region.
I list here the "countries" by profile number (unlike K' global stats which uses a sample, this is an actual count and it also counts profiles who played only the demo and uncompleted profiles). I'm surprised, not to say suspicious to see 6 "countries" with 0 profiles...

UAE -> 46556

Hi,
i far as i know, they are 76 different countries in GT Sport internal tags.
I don't know which countries goes in which region.
I list here the countries by profile number (unlike K' global stats which uses a sample, this is an actual count and it also counts profiles who played only the demo and uncompleted profiles). I'm surprised, not to say suspicious to see 6 countries with 0 profiles...

Yes that does seem strange. I tried yesterday to register under the country of Nauru, because the population is @11,000, and the unemployment rate is 90%. I thought for sure that no one would be racing there, but found out that PD won't allow just any of the 210+ countries to register. If you're in certain countries, they just make pick something else, or not register at all. Not sure what their reasoning could be for that.

Thank you very much for looking into it.

I love your website. I visit it 10-20 times a day. 👍

Hi,
i far as i know, they are 76 different "countries" in GT Sport internal tags.

Interesting stats. I wonder what "ML" stands for?

I had some questions/suggestions:

-When viewing one's profile, would it potentially be possible to view their regional ranking for a current event? I know that at the moment, the ranking is only displayed for events that are no longer in rotation.

-On that same note, could it be possible to see a player's ranking not only for their region, but also some of the more specific levels? For example, their nation, their state, and their local county.

-Similarly, I am wondering if these same filters could be applied when viewing the broader rankings for a given daily race qualifying board.

-Are the rankings from the new Time Trials being added, too? And if so, do you think those filters would also be a good idea? I know that in-game, they show the world, and your ranking within the world's rankings, but I think it'd be real neat if one could get those more specific rankings, too.

-What about car usage stats? Would it be feasible to show what car were being used by each driver when their best times were set? There could also be a machine ranking board, where the best times for each eligible model is displayed, complete with how much each time differs in percentage, a bit like how K' Speed Score is calculated for player profiles.

@MIE1992
Sadly the answer is no to all questions.
The most common reason is that i don't have access to those data.
The exception is for name search in live board. It would requires to scan the whole board every time to find a single name, and the official site leaderboard already shows what would otherwise be the most popular query: seeing his own rank.

One little thing - here you list the daily race leaderboards, with track and car type:

https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/rankings.php?sec=daily

It might be nice to also record tyre type. For example the current Red Bull Ring Gr.3 has slower times than the previous one, and I suspect the previous one was RM tyres, the current one is RH. Some have a choice, so it could record the fastest tyre option, on the basis everyone will use that for qualifying.

Indeed. I added the tires (and fixed the table width on phones) on daily races from the last 15 months.

Someone else already did it for car liveries and decals, but could you perhaps do implement a media search for everything shareable in-game? (so not only these aforementioned things, but also things like suit and helmet liveries, photos, replays, etc)

It's come up like that on my phone. Using Firefox

Is there a way to see the car/tracks used for every daily race in the past? I know under the "Times" tab there are leaderboards going back to the 1st one, but a lot of the older ones are all "????". Is there no way to pull this info from PD website? Also, some races are just listed as "N300", would it be possible to know what specific car(s) were used?

Probably best to ask the guy already making those search engines directly on twitter: https://twitter.com/manony20

Assuming these are the search you mentioned (reposted because it's epic and everyone deserves to know they exist):

Possibly more a SONY/PSN thing than a PD decision.

That list falls closely inline with the 'Country selector' for playstation.com
https://www.playstation.com/country-selector/index.html

Although, there are a few additions in PD's list according to kudosprime:
Bolivia
Brunei
Cuba
Liechtenstein
ML (?)

Oddly, Bolivia actually shows player numbers.
All others showing '0' players seems reasonable.

... and PD are missing Serbia.

That's not to say that the country selector in that link is a definitive list.
But I was just pointing out the close resemblance between the two.

Something tells me these misc flags are used for scape locations.

The K' speed score has pulled in the pre-wipe Spa leaderboards from last week's daily races. In EMEA, for example, I have 3 entries for last week's Spa daily race. Is it possible to manually exclude all but the last leaderboard for each region from the K' speed score?

The top times for last week's daily race A were cheating (cutting through the righ/left/right chicane between the hills). Can they be erased?

Did PD take action for that? I don't see multi-boards for EMEA region as usually in such case.
I can conform K' boards to official boards, but i won't manually delete times unless it can be done on each cheated times.

Thanks for all your excellent work with the Kudosprime website. Do you intend to feature anything to do with the GTS Lewis Hamilton Challenges?
