When I see so many people with 80 gold licenses, M34 completed or 100000 A-Spec points I wonder if any of them have to divide their time between playing GT and spending time with their girlfriend/wife.
I think the best indicator of the time spent is the A-Spec mileage. So anyone who is married or lives with a girlfriend please post your A-Spec mileage, points, license and mission status.

Happily married for over 2 years, most stats are in my signature, I'm currently 5hrs into Tsukuba 9hr so I can't find out my A-spec mileage until I'm finished! Having done almost 11 enduros, (link in signature) I know it's over 10,000 though. :)
B-spec :yuck: stats 0-0-0-0! 👍

One can play lots and lots of GT yet have basically no % or Aspec points/mileage.

Ive played lots of GT4 but have such weak stats.

Personally i prefer doing things in real life compared to GT4, but GT4 is a great thing to do when nothing better exists.

Some people are just really good at GT. Having all gold licences, all missions completed, and tons of Aspec points represents very little time investment for them. Probably Aspec mileage is a decent indicator, but these things can really vary.

I put a lot of miles on cars without saving, so even mileage isn't the best indicator. I also wrapped up my licenses and driving missions really early on. Though I think that was while I was still in the dorm, not during the summer when I was living with my girlfriend.

Is this a veiled "haha omg nerds!" thread?

Well, the main reason for this thread was for me to find out how other people deal with their free time. I also wanted to know if I have any chance finishing the game with 100000 points and staying married at the same time :-)

There should be no issue of GT4 versus wife or girlfriend. :) They can live together side by side!
We all have different priorities. I play when I get in from work, usually before her, which works out well. Also if she fancies a girly night in front of Sex & The City :yuck: , that's fine, she just knows there's not a hope in hell of me watching it with her and off I go to the spare room to play! 👍
It took her over an hour tonight to buy 1 pair of shoes that she already knew she wanted, simply because she likes the shopping experience.:boggled:
I on the other hand was able to buy 2 pairs of shoes in under 10 minutes, without having seen any before that I knew I wanted, and including trying on a couple of sizes of each, simply because I abhor shopping, and figure the time is far better spent behind the wheel! :)

I've had GT4 since release date, and I'm only at 13.5 percent, with 2850 a-spec points, and I play it at least once or twice a week for about an hour at a time. However, my girlfriend thinks it's the coolest thing ever (I have a DFP, which raises the "fun" quotient by thousands) and jumps at any chance that she remembers that I have it set up in the living room. She's just started the get to know the in's and out's of everthing such as oversteer, understeer, and all that jazz with her personally picked gran tourismo 4 350z.

I gave her 4's on all the aids at first with N3's, then eventually over the week turned them to off. She's still working on it, but suprisingly asks to play even when I don't even feel like it.

I'm married, just under 5 years. My play time is significantly less than it was a few years ago. Things to consider, are our Zoo, and my work ethic. 12 parrots, 2 cats, 2 fishtanks, and I work nearly 50-55 hrs per week, and it's a 1 hour commute, each way, each day. So in reality, I'm "at work" 65+ hours a week.

I wish I had time for 1 hour a day to run GT4, as the Roadster races are beginning to entice me.

I only wish that my missus had the same interest as LivingnTheorys does.

Depends on if I work or not, If I work I don´t play for that time being, since I don´t work anywhere near my home, But on the other hand, if I´m home I play for a couple of hours or more every night, while my girlfriend is asleep :)
Most of my stats are in my sig. And I have also taken pictures of all cars...

My other half is better with the DFP than I am... :(

Handily, I'm also better with the DS2 than she is with the wheel.

Wow, that's great to see some girls are interested in playing GT. I have been married for 8 years and can't really complain. What I need is second TV !!! :-)

Once you've been married ten years, the missus is glad of anything that gets you out of her hair for a few hours. 👍

I've been living with my girl for 6 months now, I've got maybe 30 golds and about 50k A-spec points.

Married 19 years.
I play 2- 3 hours most evenings after dinner while the better half watches TV.
A spec miles are around 22,000 km.
80 gold, 100% complete and 92,799 a spec.
B spec is good when I am helping out with the ironing.

Wow, that's incredible.
I'm not gonna be working much in January so I hope I can get back on track for 100000 A-Spec (right now 50% comleted and only 30K points :-( )

My Wife is cool! I have not played in a month as I am racing RC cars right now and the tuning is a biotch. :nervous:

I used B-Spec a bunch to get money to buy all the cars and get all the B-Spec points.

A good holiday to all! :)

I think that's fair and is probably why I get away with more play time than maybe I should. But two young children and business travel doesn't help either.

I think the main point is, as an experienced GT player, golding most of the licences and winning many of the races did not take as much time as others will have taken. Not saying GT4 is easy (but it is in places), the time taken is because of the numbers of events. Some 200ptrs, a couple of gold tests, CB4 and getting the last few Bspec ptrs were a bit challenging on my patience.

I'm with my wife since 1990, and we have 3 kids.
She plays only RPGs (Baldur's Gate, Champions...), but not much : the kids keep her busy all day long.
I'm playing almost every day from 10pm to 2am since I spend 50 to 60 hours a week at work too. Yet, I don't have huge statistics since I'm not playing on my gamesave anymore but mainly on an übersave to test combos for the WRS.

And Nick, we both watch Sex and the city. (and I'm the one who watched it first then told her about it) :D

Ive been with my GF for over 3 years now and she beat GT3 when I first met her and she plays GT4 on occasion. She is a lot further in Forza than I am. In a lot of ways she drives better than I do because I screw around too much drifting.
We play all multiplayer games together since we have PC games, 2 xbox systems , and PS2 systems all in the same room. 90% of our game time is online. So that basicaly means we dont play GT4 as much because its only a single player game.
Life is sooo much easier if you find a GF that is into games as much as you are. And a hot GF too. 👍
SHes also into muscle cars.
I also work 50+ hours a week and have a side job that I spend at least 10-20 hours a week.

A-spec Mileage: 6000-7000
A-spec points: 33,000-34,000
Superlicence attained after a week of owning game (IA after first day); presently at 21 gold and 59 silver.
I'm missing missions 34, 11, 23, and the one with the Superbird at Seattle.
I'm stuck at 95.x%

Marriage status: No problems after 2.5 years bonded and 8 years together. You just have to know when to put the controller down...

However, I should admit that my wife likes the GTA series much more than the GT series. She will watch me play every so often, and even give it a go herself, but usually she's not very interested after a few races. However, she did manage to win the Pleaides series with the Cusco Impreza, thanks to some coaching on my part...

To get a girl into GT4 just find her car and say "there you go - have a play with that". I did this to a friend - chose a Yaris, put her at the wheel at the start of the nurburgring (well, might as well see what she's made of ;) ) and set her going.

After weaving around most of the track and a couple of offs she got the hang of forcefeedback wheels and was quite disappointed when I didn't let her go for a second lap. :)

I've never had that much problem with the game/gf balance. I don't play the games much, but if I've a night to myself I know that I can have a bit of four-wheeled fun. I'd not give up time with a real person for a game though.

My wife thinks that it makes too much noise, and complains when I spend too much time "driving my car in circles".
My stats aren't too bad. I'm 70+% complete, I have very few golds as I can't be bothered to run the tests over and over.
I'm the same about the missions.

At this point, I'm kinda bored with GT4, and am messing with Hot Shots Golf 3, Ace Combat 4 and 5, and Baldur's Gate, and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.
