Welcome to the 17th Week of the GT4 PhotoMode Competition.

Please read all rules. Inability to follow rules will result in disqualification from the competition.

  • Do not use anyone else’s work. Only use your own.
  • Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
  • We are using a system in which the winner of a previous competition that chose the theme for this week, will also at the end of the week skim through and select their top 20 entries to be placed on the poll.
  • Photoshop can be used to crop, resize, adjust brightness and contrast, and for adding text. Changing color curves or manipulating is prohibited.
  • Post your final entry in RED letters. Such as “FINAL ENTRY”
    [*]Only one entry may be submitted, and it must be uploaded using Imageshack and have the thumbnail picture.

  • Please Submit your Final Entry and no more than 2 Honorable Mentions.
  • You will not ask others to choose your Final Entry.
  • NEWA preview image may be used, but it may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels by either photo orientation. If one is used then no honorable mentions may be posted along with the entry. If no preview image is used then the regular honorable mention rules apply.

  • The competitions will run in much the same manner as the other artistic competitions. The approximate deadline is:
    June 25th.

  • This week’s competition will be restricted to "24 Hours of Le Mans" as chosen by Week 15 winner Valkendorm.

  • Further explanation of theme:
  • Can be anything : battle between cars, the circuit itself, classics' race, etc.
    [*]Avoid time paradox (Year 1990+ cars on the old circuit layout)
    [*]Circuits limited to Sarthe I and Sarthe II
    [*]Cars limited to Le Mans GTS, GT1, LMP classes (Black cars are not allowed)

No GT class cars? (Then again, I think only the M3 GTR is in that class...)
 
.. i dunno wut cars i can/cant use? ... do they have to be LM cars?

Hope I've done it right, I'm a noob.
 
Well, I'm entering the comps for the first time, this is a picture I took from the replay of my 24 hour race I just completed last night.

So... FINAL ENTRY
 
GT cars: that would include the Chevrolet, but not the M3 GTR race car, since that never ran at Le Mans. Also... the Saleen has raced, but the racing version isn't in the game, and a roadcar would be out of place I think.

Are the black versions of the 787B/R92CP/GT-One/R390 GT1 eligible?? I only have these and a Minolta... so once again the theme is such that I haven't got much of a choice in cars. I'll have to see about buying an R8, but I REALLY want the Bentley... but I'm at least 24hours from that.

EDIT: The XJ220 should be valid - GT1 class winner with D Coulthard in 1994 I think?

You're right, sorry about missing that car. It was quite late when I build that list and shot pass the M3 GTR. This Beemer can be used too.

So, the GT class with the BMW M3 GTR Race Car ('01) is valid. If Slick6 can edit the original post and add this, I would be very thankful. :)

@RenesisEvo: Black cars are not allowed, but I found that when you buy them in GT mode, the standard race version get unlocked in the Arcade mode.

As for the XJ220 Race Car, there's one in real life, but not the one from GT4. The one you're talking about would be this one.
 
I went to take a picture of the jets in the sky, but when I pressed select, they disappeared!
 
Not in that livery, and not with the V8, but it was still called an M3 GTR. Anyway, it's not like I'm using the car, just asking the question.
 
This will clear up the M3 GTR Race Car issue I hope. If not, I apologize.

Just so you know,I intentionally took that picture to make it look "cloudy" so to speak to give it the rainy weather effect.

I wanted to recreate Le Mans 1999, but it seems PD doesn't allow the V12 LMR and the GT-One to race together... 45 minutes of trying to get both in the same race, to no avail. :irked:

So I decided to go with the 1989 winner instead, here under hard braking at Mulsanne.

Great theme this week. I thought Id get my antiprotest on the topical bandwagon first after that dreadful farce of a Grand Prix at Indy over the weekend. . Comments/Critisism welcome

With the right settings you can get it to lift.
 
Radicool02, are those jets actually in the game!? I am sure that I saw them In some other image, about a month ago :eek:
