Gentlemen, start your engines.

I'm gonna be all over this. :D

Cheers,

I honestly hate to double post, but it's been three hours and the thread needs a bit of a swift kick anyway.

T1: 24.970
T2: 49.092

Absolutely loving the combo. Running without TCS is an absolute blast. We have yet another winner on our hands for our admin. 👍👍👍

Writeup of my hotlap/ Tips for anyone, perhaps?
Cross the start/ finish line at around 136-138 mph. Attain around 147 mph at the end of the straight before trail breaking hard, a little in front of the last distance marker/ rumble strips. Downshift and breifly (about 2 seconds) goose the car in second gear before shifting to third (at 71 mph) to faintly drift the tricky first right hander.

Run flat out and shift to 4th at around 96-98 mph. Lean deeply into the Switchback Right turn at around 113 mph and trailbrake. Take the rest of the corner somewhere around 103 mph and run flat out throught the switchback-left. Cross the T1 around 25 seconds flat.

Shift to 5th gear at 125 mph for optmum performance.

Coming to the mini carousel/ bridge, trail brake right before the 50 m marker at around 132 mph. Downshift, goose 2nd gear for about a second to initiate proper rotation, then shift third to pick up boost again. Slight lift, mid-turn, to tuck in the front end. Enter tunnel at around 72-75 mph with the left-side tyres straddling the rumble strip.

Trail brake very late into the Carousel, goosing second at around 70 mph for proper rotation. Upshift. Come out of corner at around 80 mph with a slight sidestepping of the car.

Cross T2 at 48.8-49.2, 106 mph.

Take the left part of the switchback flat out and then about a third way through the right turn at 125-127 and hold 106 mph or so before braking hard to 45 mph for the hairpin. Modulate throttle to control wheelspin and shift at the points previously discussed. Hold the rest of the course flat out.

I'm sorry if it's a tad vague.. I'm not really that great with telling stories how to take a lap. It's about the same as asking how a song makes you feel.

Hope it helped.

Cheers,
Corey

Well, if that was actually a song, it would make me feel pretty good inside.

I hope I can get some laps in :)

Just not comfortable with combo yet. I can see the potential but for now satisfied with just cruising around and getting used to the car eh. besides, it's late and I'm tired.......only excuse I could think of actually.:guilty:

Corey you are as much a Div 3
driver as i am Michael Schmacher, how can they stand a chance. Nice lap and i love the car too

This one's tough......for me at least. :ouch: Some improvement and doubt there is much left for me. Just can't find the groove this week.

25.547
50.615

Damn fine combo. And this week, my schedule looks like this:

You've got one half of the name. Did you get the speedy, or the cheating part?

deadline is Tuesday 22th May 6pm GMT
is this timemarker gonna be for keeps? it's ok, but i enjoyed the early availability of the new combo sometimes even before the old one was closed ... 👍

anyway it's your call jerry cos you've got it tough enough as it is with us nannies and sissies complaining about your work :)

Just a reminder to all luxy updaters that Jetboys427 is only ghosting (until a replay device is forthcoming) the WRS and therefore his splits aren't required to be added to the leaderboard. 👍

We Brits just had the hottest April on record (300 odd years) so I commited myself to a larger work load than I would normally because sales just went crazy when the sun came out. Only mad dogs and Englishmen...

If this new deadline causes problems I'll try and move it back soon.

... and would you care to share with us what sales those would be, jerry?

at least one of us nannies and sissies - the hebrew one in this case - seems to enjoy the timeshift and since he's such a valued member maybe even only in his sake just leave it as it is now :)

This car doesn't seem to exist in my game, in both Arcade & GT modes. :boggled:
Well mate, your best bet is to purchase a bunch of rims and cycle through the days rather swiftly. It'll be in Used Lot 1, (Early 90's cars) Anyone know what days this beast shows up, for DJ?

Cheers,
Corey

Good choice of car and track.

Fast times on practise!
Check youre rear view mirror...

Ha! Youcan't see me.
But I'm Coming!

First session:

25.236
49.134

Sorry for not keeping myself up to date, but what are the current rules in the WRS? Are concrete outside the rumbles fair game or not?

Niels, I've been running as if the concrete areas inside the rumbles are not legal this week, but after reading the race specifics I guess they probably are. That should make it easier to improve on my current splits as they are not that impressive:

25.065/49.548

Not really using the extra room yet, except on the final left, but the splits have improved anyway:

24.882/49.192

Concrete areas are fair game, Niels. 👍

Thanks guys.

Not sure if it'll be beneficial to go outside the "normal" track, but nice to know, when you're not always in control. :dopey:

Hi mates.
No, I'm not gonna dust off the GT4 disc, but I wanted to drop by and say hello.
Did you old timers notice that the GT4 WRS now has been run for longer than the GT3 WRS ?
Last week in the GT3 WRS was week 106, to which we might add a semi-official week 107 which results have never been posted.

That makes a grand total of 214 weeks already. Has to be some sort of a record I guess.

Congrats

Ran a few laps and I dont like this car at all! here's where I'm at so far anyway in my best save .. 24.731 / 48.603
there's still a good bit left for sure! I'll probably have another session before the deadline but not my cup of tea this car :indiff:

Good luck to all
Laters.

Although I came late to the party, I'm certainly glad the GT4 WRS is still going strong as I had run out of reasons to play the game. Not sure if interest in the WRS is decreasing or increasing, but with the release of GT5 still a bit away I hope it sticks around for quite some time.

Thanks to all those who have worked hard (and continue to work) to make it happen. 👍
