Well, I have to say, the search for pace was not straight-forward. I found that the input my PS5 was using was not as free of delay as I had first believed, and everything was less optimized compared to my PS4. I turned off all the TV effects (all image improvement features) that could cause a delay between the PS5 output and what I was seeing on screen. I went so far as to turn off the HDR (more so because I didn't like the image quality, which I found to be too dark).I was so far off I didn't even bother, lol. No matter what I did I was just in the freakin' way.š¤£
Tried running more laps and baked-in some tips and guidance from here but made zero progress. Actually, zero would've been preferred. Once the frustration set-in the laps were just getting longer and longer. Called it and didn't look back.š
Hoping this is a better week...
Once everything was optimized for frame rate, as I have it with my PS4, I managed to get my times down. Still, there is some differences in the physics. it might not make a big difference over a lap, it does over the course of a race. I can feel it when I play.
Hopefully the next update makes the two versions more equal.
