Update 3 changelog
  1. Corrected some mistakes.
  2. Some text changes were made across the thread.
  3. 32 new cars have been added to the cars and classes portion of the GT7 Suggestions section.
  4. Some cars have been replaced by more recent equivalents.
  5. A new NASCAR Gen-7 class has been added on the cars and classes portion section of the GT7 suggestions.

I know it’s being a while since the trailer came out, but preparing this thread took around 6 months. I saw things I liked and things I didn't. But anyway, let’s break it down. I separated the thread into spoilers for your convenience, instead of creating a maze. Thank you to everyone who happens to read even 1% of this thread . If you have any suggestions/corrections etc please comment. Due to everyday life the thread will be updated as time permits.
Obviously the trailer looked stunning, but trailers do usually look better than the final product, so I will reserve judgment until launch. As far as gameplay, it leads me to believe the game is in some sort of early development, but it could be a launch title for all I know. Edit looks like i was correct as the game got delayed until 2022.

No noticeable changes in car audio, which is concerning. GT Sport made the "get off the ground" step, car sounds need a lot more work or, at the very least, they should correct some engine notes which are completely inaccurate (like the Nissan GT-R GT3 etc).

Speaking of which, there is one thing worth noting on this part of the trailer.

Please, for the love of god, tell me they used the sound of the Diablo or any other random car, because if the Carrera GT sounds like it does here, I would be beyond disappointed.
The menus look amazing clearly influenced by Gran Turismo 4.
received_319464426016055.jpeg

On that menu we can see many of the games features/modes, but lets get the self explanatory stuff out of the way first.
  1. Brand Central
  2. Discover
  3. GT Auto
  4. GT Sport Live
  5. Home
  6. Multiplayer
  7. Scapes
  8. Used Cars
Now, on to the icons, which left many questions to be answered.

received_597555197629055.jpeg

Championships: This indicates to championship-style events, like Gran Turismo All Stars etc.

--------------------------------------------------------
received_319464426016055.jpeg

GT World: This icon/name combination creates another huge question. Usually modes with similar names (GT Mode, GT League etc.) are where the entire single-player campaign is housed at. But, if championships are separate events, then what kind of events will this mode include?. My guess is events like the Sunday Cup, FR Challenge etc., as showed in the last part of the trailer. Also, one more thing to note about this mode is the race-points mechanic, which reminds me of the star system in GT6 which I absolutely hate.
---------------------------------------------------
received_3116048098509601.jpeg

Missions: The only thing that comes to mind for this mode is some form of the driving missions from GT4, but it could be another name for mission challenge.
-------------------------------------------------
received_293081038598254.jpeg

School: Probably where the Licence, Driving Missions and Circuit Experience modes will be.
---------------------------------------------------------
received_944365216080004.jpeg

Special Events: This mode could be:

1. Something like the special condition events from GT4.

2. Something like the driving missions from GT4.

3. The special events from GT5 making a comeback.

4. Something entirely new.

5. Or all of the above.

All of this leads me to believe the single player portion will be similarly structured to GT2.

GT2-GTF.jpg

--------------------------------------------------
received_308530200341024.jpeg

GT Cafe: My guess is that would be what the Community feature was in GT5/6 – although it would’ve been pretty funny if the PS5 had a built-in micro coffee machine with little caps coming in the box, that it would be activated every time the player pressed X on that icon :lol: .
-------------------------------------------------
gran-turismo-7-ps5-screenshots-4k-32.jpg

Tuning Parts Shop: Ι was originally not going to talk about it as its pretty self-explanatory, but the extreme upgrades caught my attention.
My guess is these are going to be similar to the cut tuning parts from GT5, like the Super high RPM Turbo kit etc.
In terms of cars, we saw a little bit of everything. The cars look amazing but:
received_653585931923834.jpeg

The N-Class system needs to go! Who in their right mind would put a Challenger Hellcat vs a Huayra, for example. The group classes need a major overhaul as well. But on the bright side, at least the PP system is back. It might not be perfect, but its certainly better than the N classes – although it seems like the PP system will be used everywhere, except of Sport Mode.
As far as tracks go, we saw Daytona in the GT World menu and, while I’m happy to know its coming back, its available in most other games already. So naturally, the
star in that department was Trial Mountain.

gran-turismo-7-ps5-screenshots-4k-24.jpg

I’ll admit I didn’t notice it at first, because I was paying attention to the new cars etc. My feelings on the layout changes are mixed, as I can understand why they did change it. Changes are nothing new to circuits, fictional or real, but on the flip side they did change some of my favorite parts of the track. However, if it needs to be like that, I’m ok with it .
Two more things worth noting are: the absence of the livery editor – perhaps this feature will be part of GT Auto?. And for the looks of it, after selecting a track we would be able to do every activity available on that track. Also, traditional licences
are back, yay!
received_228365394956766.jpeg

To make the offline elements a bit more interesting, rather than the standard GT affair for the 8th time in a row, GT7 could use a mix of career styles. For example, the classic GT road car events like the Sunday Cup etc. would remain as they were in previous games and they will be used as the platform, upon which the player builds his reputation as a driver and attracting sponsors, with the end goal of joining the championships sanctioned by the Gran Turismo Foundation (GTF).

The races under GTF will range all the way, from karting up to the highest class of race car in the game – possibly Super Formula, assuming any F1 cars won't be in the game. In these races, the player will sign a contract, representing the team he will be racing for – or car maker if he sings for a factory team. Every contract will have set goals for that specific championship – or series of events if the player sings for a manufacturer, with a set credit reward for achieving these goals (e.g. 450.000 Cr.) on top of the credits awarded from each race. Failure to meet these goals will result in either:

1. Driver reputation drop – continuous failure will result in the player getting fired eventually, or

2. If the player is way off these targets (e.g if the player finishes 10th, while he has a goal of 5th or higher in his contract), this will result in severe reputation drop, forcing the player to race in previous events in order to rebuild it/almost immediate or immediate termination, and if the player is a factory driver, on top of the consequences above, his relationship with the manufacturer will get sour.

However, even if the player performs well in races, dirty driving or violation of the rules will result into a reputation drop. Keeping a good enough relationship with a manufacturer will be vital. as the player won't be able to enter a certain series otherwise (e.g. The player must have a good enough relationship with Honda or Toyota in order to enter the Super Formula series).

On the positive side. if the player performs well enough or better than asked. he will receive credit bonuses and other rewards. PD could also design official events based on real life championships. using the same exact format as that series (E.g. the Super GT championship with GT500 and GT300 cars in a 50/50 grid split, the player will have the choice of which category to race in, and all races will have a set distance of 300 kilometers – except from the race held at Fuji which is 500 kilometers. This could also function with a B-Spec mode, with an AI be required to complete a certain distance, either by starting the race or taking over from the player.

The “Auction House” feature from the Forza Series
Brand Central: The showroom part of brand central could be split into 3 different showrooms like in GT2 & GT4. Therefore, the used car dealership will become part of Brand Central instead of a separate feature, and every brand will have its own used car dealer like in GT2.
GT2-NTSC-UC-HondaFront.png

received_634525540511261.jpeg

So the 3 showrooms are:

1. New Cars: This showroom will feature road cars, which are in production or their production has ended recently, and race cars which are still actively racing.

2. Used Cars: This showroom will feature road cars, which are not in production for a while (e.g. 3+ years) or models that have been succeeded by a new model regardless of if they are still produced, and race cars which have officially retired by their respective manufacturer.

3. Heritage Showroom: This showroom will feature cars with any kind of historical significance, no matter the age of the car unless it’s in production or actively racing. I will use Toyota’s current lineup in GT Sport as an example.

Toyota TS030 Hybrid 2012

Manufacturers with only 1 car will have only 1 showroom, depending on what kind of car is featured (E.g. Suzuki’s showroom will simply be titled “Showroom”, while Renault will feature only a heritage showroom, because the R8 Gordini is a historic model.

Customization – Items like:

Auxiliary Lights

Body kits

Canard Kits

Diffusers

Exhausts

Headlights

Hoods

Horns

Licence Plates

Rear Wings

Side Skirts

Safety Car Light Bars (for most if not all cars)

Taillights

Wheels

Wing Mirror

All these parts will be part of GT Auto.

If, for whatever reason, featuring parts from third party companies is not possible, the developers could use parts from tuning companies associated with a specific brand (e.g Nismo parts for Nissan vehicles, TRD for Toyota etc.)

Custom race – Additional options, like entry restrictions according to:

Car Type (e.g. Road Car, Rally Car etc.)

Dimensions

Drivetrain

Engine Aspiration

Engine displacement

Engine Type

Manufacturer (e.g. only Ferrari cars)

Model year or a specific time period (e.g. ‘80s cars only or, cars from 1995 to 2000)

Multi Class Racing

Power

Weight

Value

The ability to select what cars the AI will drive

The ability to create championships

GT Auto: I would like GT Auto to be at least like GT5, if not better

lookgt5suser_224756b.jpg

lookgt5suser_224757b (1).jpg

Apart from standard maintenance functions, GT Auto will include a “Racing Modifications” function. But besides the traditional racing modifications, every fictional GR.3 & GR.4 car inspired by a real life car will be relegated into a racing modification, if the real car gets licensed .

Car Trims: This will be a new function with the purpose of decreasing duplicate cars. For example: instead of having both a Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 and a Corolla Levin AE86 as separate cars only, the Sprinter Trueno will be available for purchase and then the player can convert it into a Corolla Levin from GT Auto if he wishes to do so.

Livery Editor: For me, the biggest issues need solving are:

1. All cars should be able to have branded tyres.

2. The game counting a simple colour change as a livery – this issue is especially noticeable on the Mercedes W08, because due to that issue the “Colour Variation” duplicate needed to be added.

3. The option to remove license plates.

4. Layer limit increase.

5. Full driver and pit crew suit customization.

6. Not being able to edit the livery a car is delivered with, like with the special GR.4 Supra.

PS_Messages_20200915_032043.jpg

Obviously the livery is incomplete, but we should be able to fix the original livery instead of having to recreate it from scratch.

1. Customisable windshield banner.

Custom liveries for AI cars in custom race

Machine test

Sessonal events

Special themed events
(e.g. AMG Driving Academy, Red Bull X Series etc.)

Far better AI: This needs to happen, not only to improve for the overall experience, but also in order for my career idea to work.<

Omition of the rubber-banding mechanic.

More camera options
, Like the camera shown below and the 360-degrees camera that was cut from the beta of GT Sport .

PS_Messages_20200915_160428.jpg

Bigger Credit Cap for all players.

Implementation of the more usual racing flags
(e.g. black, black/white, black with orange circle for damages with potential hazard on track, green, FCY flag, surface flag)

Better and more customizable HUD, like in recent Formula 1 games

PS_Messages_20201102_183500.jpg

Instead of having multiple duplicates of cars with different liveries, like the two BMW M6 GT3’s, a system like the one used in Assetto Corsa and GRID 2019 among others where are many liveries for a specific model can be found under a “Livery” tab should be implemented

PS_Messages_20201102_184313.jpg

Login bonus

Offline saving

Horn function

Full roof control for convertible cars

A race engineer function
, like in recent Formula 1 games or Assetto Corsa Competizione

The ability to turn on dashboard lights manually

Replays
: Removal of the black spaces present in GT Sport, the replay control panel not popping up with the slightest press of a button as shown bellow as well as more camera views.

Implementation of a safety car function for single player

Custom liveries for AI cars in custom race

Improved car sounds

Telemetry function
, similar to the one featured in Forza Motosport Series.

Tuning: The ability to change the engine aspiration of a car.

Visuals: 3D trees and spectators.

Besides saying the obvious like better tyre model etc., I decided to make a slightly detailed list.
Implementation of a far more severe damage model like:

- Malfunctioning engines/engine blowouts

- Malfunctioning/broken gearboxes

- Malfunctioning/broken turbos

- Malfunctioning hybrid systems

- Drivetrain damage

- Floor damage

- Suspension damage

- Tyre punctures (these don’t have to be visual, if not possible to implement them)

- The ability to choose the amount of fuel we put in the car at the start of every session, instead of only when making a Pit Stop

- Proper implementation of DRS

- Better implementation of ERS

- Implementation of energy consumption for electric cars

- Proper implementation of the different hybrid system types (not all hybrid systems deploy automatically)

- Proper implementation of KERS

- The ability to use more than one of those systems independently, for the cars that make use of it (for example, the McLaren P1 GTR uses both DRS & KERS)

- A proper power and weight ballast slider (going by 0.1% instead of 1% like it does in GT Sport

- Fix for the non-linear throttle issue

- The ability to adjust every single part of the car’s setup, unlike on the example bellow.

PS_Messages_20200915_032048.jpg

- The ability for the player to adjust the turbo pressure in turbocharged cars

- Correction of specifications for some cars. One notorious example is the Sauber Mercedes C9, which has totally incorrect figures ever since its debut in Gran Turismo 4, packing 940 HP, 1.010.2 Nm of torque and a weight of 893Kg in the game. In real life, the car produces around 720 HP in race trim (and around 830 HP in qualifying trim), 810 Nm of torque with a weight of 905Kg.

- The aerodynamic figures need an overhaul as well, because when a car like the Enzo, which produces a substantial amount of downforce, makes 0 downforce at the front and 50 at the back, something isn’t quite right.

- The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe not having a number on its default livery, forcing us to recreate it from scratch.

PS_Messages_20200915_011310.jpg

Some cars’ missing information, example bellow. Why do they do that 😕
I can understand if it’s a fictional/concept car or a new car debuting in the game before its real life debut, but on other random cars? It’s not a secret, everyone can find said information with a single google search.

PS_Messages_20200915_011315.jpg

- The 2017 Ford GT in the game being set in Sport Mode. Just why? It’s a track made road legal Supercar, for crying out loud.

PS_Messages_20200908_011748.jpg

Naming of several cars. For example what even is a Ford FORD GT 😕 .

PS_Messages_20200915_032111.jpg

We get it, we are in the Ford dealership! It’s not hard, considering how many times the game shows us the manufacturers logo (4 to be exact) .
- Bring back the GT5/6-style driving line – to be honest this is a personal request, due to my vision issues.

- Manually select/unselect BGM tracks, like you could in previous titles.

- Statistics page, like in GT6.

This section currently features 2617 cars of all kinds sorted into road and race cars and then divided further into many different classes . While im not satisfied with the road car based categories due to my lack of knowledge the racing categories are designed to be as balanced and competitive as possible. One major difference with my system is cross class vehicles (for example GT3 cars will also be eligible for the GT300 category to reflect real life) . This system will only apply in sport mode and select career events.
Notes:

  1. The road car classes are splited into classic (1950-1990) and modern (1991-2020) . So you won't find any road cars before 1950.
  2. I took many things into consideration when making the class like the overall performance , what each manufacturer considered each car to be when they were on sale etc.
  3. Before someone asks No we don't need so many cars nor will ever get them some may not even exist anymore but it would be amazing .
  4. For the "anti Vision Gran Turismo" crowd sorry to disapoint but VGT cars are included.
  5. Originally Lotus and Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus were included but as these brands came out publicly saying they have issues with the developers they were removed. If this is the case with any other brands please let me know .
  6. Trust me when i say i included many cars i don't really like and i didn't include many i love.
  7. The list is incomplete as i coulden't find much information about 80s IMSA , time attack cars etc.
  8. I didn't make a track list because if Macau can host high profile races then any kind of road is good enough.
  9. I decided to add cars that certainly don't exist anymore like the Mazda Furai because according to this story https://www.google.gr/url?sa=t&sour...FjASegQIChAC&usg=AOvVaw236zh2gUPMlrKmC9AkIN1D looks like Polyphony can bring back such cars if enough data of said car remains.
Some cars will be colored to indicate something. Specifically
Blue indicates why a specific chassis of a car is selected. E.g
#59 Kokusai Kaihatsu UK Racing
McLaren F1 GTR 1995

Green Notes for some cars.
*Brown Indicates cross class cars.
*Red Explaning why a car is placed in Group X.

1. Yes, the N-class system/the class system in general needs to get scrapped. It's absolutely worthless.

2. I really hope the Special events are 'GT5 style'. I absolutely loved seeing real racing/TV Series featured in GT5. (WRC, NASCAR, Top Gear, F1 in the form of Sebastian Vettel challenges.) With the Lewis Hamilton cameo in GT Sport, the addition of Super Formula, and Kaz's promise of Formula E coming, it makes perfect sense that it would return in the way GT5 did it.

I disagree - I think we should at least give it a chance when the PP system is there alongside it. I also would have less issue with the N-Series - even if the PP system were not returning - if we had more events that limit the car selection, such as if there was an N400 race in GT Sport that only permitted the Tundra TRD Pro and F-150 SVT Raptor. Within GT Sport, it's instead either always one-make events, or every car from a class is permitted, when I think it's much more fun to limit the selection within a class - it makes people drive a larger variety of cars.

First of all let me say sorry for the ultra late reply sadly everyday life got in the way , thats why i put under construction in the title and i didn't expect people commenting. Please take a look in the finished thread.
Glad someone else noticed the sound of the Carrera/Diablo.
Like i know PD like to use random sounds in trailers it made sense until GT6 but why now ? the car audio is actually decent now.

But wasen't this why the PP system was introduced to begin with?.

Hope drag racing as well in addition to the rest, we wait for that since GT2 :( C'mon PD put drag racing and improve sounds, physics, AI etc.

GT World: This icon/name combination creates another huge question. Usually modes with similar names (GT Mode, GT League etc.) are where the entire single-player campaign is housed at. But, if championships are separate events, then what kind of events will this mode host? My guess is events like the Sunday Cup, FR Challenge etc., as showed in the last part of the trailer. Also, one more thing to note about this mode is the race-points mechanic, which reminds me of the star mechanic in GT6 (I absolutely hated that).

GT World is more like the Track menus of GT7 likely, it resembles GT4's Courses menu in GT Mode (the one with From the East as music):

Where GT4 features something like Family Cup, Photo Drive, etc. for those tracks. Although it probably features the track events too for more convenience; I think putting the events by prioritizing the track list makes it more difficult like the event restrictions of time spent to look into other tracks used by the event to complete it (for possible prize car).

In terms of cars, we saw a little bit of everything. The cars look amazing but:
View attachment 962178

The N-Class system needs to go! Who in their right mind would put a Challenger Hellcat vs a Huayra, for example. The group classes need a major overhaul as well. But on the bright side, at least the PP system is back. It might not be perfect, but its certainly better than the N classes – although it seems like the PP system will be used everywhere, except of Sport Mode.

I was immediately unhappy when N-Class system is introduced in GTS with the absence of PP, the system is inherently flawed to evaluate a car only based on its horsepower. N-Class in GT7 is only the class emblem now like X Class in Forza, PP is now used for actual performance measure.

Two more things worth noting are: the absence of the livery editor – perhaps this feature will be part of GT Auto?. And for the looks of it, after selecting a track we would be able to do every activity available on that track. Also, traditional licences
are back, yay!

GT Sport has Driving School y'know, it's like traditional license although it doesn't influence events in single player. And Livery Editor must be integrated in GT Auto yeah, GT Auto is a place to take care of your car outside of performance, and livery editor is similar category as rim changing, aero kits, etc.

I feel like this - the sponsor attraction, signing contracts, etc. should be applied for any existing events that are motorsport based like Super GT or NASCAR (It's already there in the previous games like GT5). And for car maker, probably integrate those in the manufacturer events (they should be listed on the Brand Central like in GT2/GT4). I also think that B-Spec is probably should be integrated as the team maker part, more than just coaching AI driver in a race with some commands. The previous GT only had singular events based on motorsport like Super GT's Suzuka 1000 km, so they should implement Endurance Championship for the Super GT Championship of a set distance, not only for Formula GT.

View attachment 968994

View attachment 968995

New cars

Toyota 86 GR.4

Toyota 86 GR.B

Toyota FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo

Toyota FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo GR.3

Toyota 86 GT 2015

Toyota 86 GT Limited 2016

Toyota GR Supra RZ 2019

Toyota Tundra TRD PRO 2019

Toyota GR Supra RZ 2020

Used Cars

Toyota MR2 GT-S 1997

Toyota Crown Athlete G 2013

Toyota FT-1 2014

Toyota SF-R 2015

Toyota 86 GRMN 2016

Toyota SF-R Racing Concept 2016

Toyota Gazoo Racing

Toyota TS050 Hybrid 2016

Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept 2018

1. Heritige Showroom

Toyota Sports 800 1965

Toyota 2000GT 1967

Toyota Corolla Levin 3Door 1600GT Apex 1983

Toyota Sprinter Trueno 3Door 1600GT Apex 1983

Toyota Supra 3.0 GT Turbo A 1988

Toyota Supra RZ 1997

Toyota TS030 Hybrid 2012

Manufacturers with only 1 car will have only 1 showroom, depending on what kind of car is featured (E.g. Suzuki’s showroom will simply be titled “Showroom”, while Renault will feature only a heritage showroom, because the R8 Gordini is a historic model.

"Heritage Showroom" sounds like something done in GT4, the Classics/Legendary Cars section. The trailer already showed the Used Cars as separate menu though. I think it's that way in GT4 because there are manufacturers that have little to no cars available for Used Cars, like Lotus Elises or Jensen Interceptor. If those are integrated in Brand Central the used car dealership will only list that car.

Customization – Items like:

Auxiliary Lights

Body kits

Canard Kits

Diffusers

Exhausts

Headlights

Hoods

Horns

Licence Plates

Rear Wings

Side Skirts

Safety Car Light Bars (for most if not all cars)

Taillights

Wheels

Wing Mirror

All these parts will be part of GT Auto.

If, for whatever reason, featuring parts from third party companies is not possible, the developers could use parts from tuning companies associated with a specific brand (e.g Nismo parts for Nissan vehicles, TRD for Toyota etc.)

The tuning company name should return yeah!

GT Auto: I would like GT Auto to be at least like GT5, if not better

View attachment 969015

View attachment 969016

Apart from standard maintenance functions, GT Auto will include a “Racing Modifications” function. But besides the traditional racing modifications, every fictional GR.3 & GR.4 car inspired by a real life car will be relegated into a racing modification, if the real car gets licensed.

I think so, the fictional Gr cars should be used as the cars' Racing Modifications, in an inverted fashion for GT6 where RM cars got turned into separate cars. However for tuning I think Quick Tune should be utilized as something to quickly turn your car into that performance class, like for example choosing Gr. 4 option will automatically buy any car parts that made your car into Gr. 4 level performance.

There should be a way to trim out duplicate cars but this is not logical, Trueno and Levin are really separate for real life (especially with extra prize for converting in GT Auto). Their headlight difference should be enough to give each cars their own identity. For performance there are many cars with

Far better AI: This needs to happen, not only to improve for the overall experience, but also in order for my career idea to work.

Omition of the rubber-banding mechanic.

AI is also likely the factor of the career not being enjoyable. Dunno if they'll do it but PD's hiring spree includes a place for AI department. Though a better AI is much needed, there should be variative AI too, like an occassional bad AI on the races. Speed wise there's an AI model that can't be caught by humans:

I feel like they don't want to or can't improve AI and therefore they remove qualification and put rubber band to add up difficulties....

Bigger Credit Cap for all players.

No, just remove the credit cap altogether, like in earlier games.

Implementation of the more usual racing flags (e.g. black, black/white, black with orange circle for damages with potential hazard on track, green, FCY flag, surface flag)

Implementation of a safety car function for single player

This should be used on motorsport related events, but it needs to resemble that event. I think this shouldn't be put in every single events like car focused events like drivetrain challenges.

Instead of having multiple duplicates of cars with different liveries, like the two BMW M6 GT3’s, a system like the one used in Assetto Corsa and GRID 2019 among others where are many liveries for a specific model can be found under a “Livery” tab should be implemented

View attachment 969041

I agree for this one for race cars, but iirc it was about licenses for the race sponsors to have them featured at their car name. I hope this can be implemented for race cars, but if the game can't, keep the different liveries of race cars around, as Super GT isn't about a grid full of Castrol Tom's Supras.

Full roof control for convertible cars

The ability to turn on dashboard lights manually

Yes, the car's functions should be playable for actual car simulation, other than just driving. I also hope for more options in dealership other than roof, like choosing position of car's steering wheel.

A race engineer function, like in recent Formula 1 games or Assetto Corsa Competizione

I think B-Spec should contain that and other team functions.

Implementation of a far more severe damage model like:

- Malfunctioning engines/engine blowouts

- Malfunctioning/broken gearboxes

- Malfunctioning/broken turbos

- Malfunctioning hybrid systems

- Drivetrain damage

- Floor damage

- Suspension damage

- Tyre punctures (these don’t have to be visual, if not possible to implement them)

- The ability to choose the amount of fuel we put in the car at the start of every session, instead of only when making a Pit Stop

- Proper implementation of DRS

- Better implementation of ERS

- Implementation of energy consumption for electric cars

- Proper implementation of the different hybrid system types (not all hybrid systems deploy automatically)

- Proper implementation of KERS

- The ability to use more than one of those systems independently, for the cars that make use of it (for example, the McLaren P1 GTR uses both DRS & KERS)

- A proper power and weight ballast slider (going by 0.1% instead of 1% like it does in GT Sport

- Fix for the non-linear throttle issue

- The ability to adjust every single part of the car’s setup, unlike on the example bellow.

View attachment 969056

Yeah, more car functions in gameplay for general, DRS and KERS being one of them. Other than energy consumption for electric cars, the fuel consumption should be made accurate for the cars as well. Other wrong car specifications are R390 GT1 with only 345 hp.

This section currently features 2497 cars of all kinds sorted into road and race cars and then divided into further into many different classes .

  2. Before someone asks No we don't need so many cars nor will ever get them some may not even exist anymore but it would be amazing .
  3. For the "anti Vision Gran Turismo" crowd sorry to disapoint but VGT cars are included.
  4. Originally Lotus and Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus were included but as these brands came out publicly saying they have issues with the developers they were removed. If this is the case with any other brands please let me know .
  5. Trust me when i say i included many cars i don't really like and i didn't include many i love.
  6. The list is incomplete as i coulden't find much information about 80s IMSA , time attack cars etc.
  7. I didn't make a track list because if Macau can host high profile races then any kind of road is good enough.

There should be more categorization of cars yeah, like car types here, such as hot-hatch, etc. to act more as a car encyclopedia. For a game like GT, yes we really need so many cars. A car nut game should include cars from every decade in the game, with laborate intro showcasing the production and history of the automobile as well as included all of those historical cards in that one section.

Don't think we've had a classic hot rod. The Prowler was about as close as we got. The SSR wasn't that close either. Still, would be good to see cars like this and a proper drag racing stage.

Not necessarily basics like yellow , blue flugs etc should be on every event.

Im not so sure about that i was hoping it would be like in GT5 with a small cool animation getting it straight from Quick tune seems lame.

The thing is this; Racing Modifications don't change the car's current performance (horsepower and weight at least) in GT1/GT2. In GT5 they only change based on their stock horsepower and weight a bit, due to racing components being more powerful and lighter. So it's both, you turn the car into racing car from GT Auto, then you turn that car into Gr. 4/Gr. 3/etc. performance in tuning shop by buying the other parts.

I disagree 1000%.

At least gimme a reason why you disagree for that.

Thats what i was going for but having unlimited money may cause exploits etc.

Cheats will put you at constant advantage whenever there's a cap or not, like even for 20m cap, you can spend all the 20m cap, then exploit it again to gain 20m cap to spend it again, and repeat.

I don't know but whatever the resson is it just creates needless duplicates.

I said I also hope for the car liveries like in PCars or AC to be implemented, but dunno about the racing sponsors' deal.

But they will in my version for example if you choose the C7 Corvette then you go to GT Auto select racing modification and you will get to tabs 1 for the GR.3 and 1 for GR.4 . After you select which one you want the car will come with every part already purchased.

At least gimme a reason why you disagree for that.
Because small differences like the lights don't justify including the same car more than once . Its the resson GT became a meme during the PS3 era and PD didn't help either by repeating the "we have 1000 cars 🤬" and people bought it .

I would like to see them scrap the PP system for single player. If they want to keep it for multi player. I thought Gran Turismo was much more fun before they decided to introduce the PP system in all aspects of the games

Fair enough, though would that mean you also include racing modification without performance change as option too (for something like previous games)?

But they do. GT6 without duplicates have 1064 cars. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/the-real-car-count-in-gran-turismo-6.330195/
My gripe is about the standard-premium cars, the inconsistency of qualities (almost no duplicate for premiums actually). That time it becomes trendy to hate on GT and people like to jump on bandwagons so almost everything GT had is made fun of as if it's the worst game ever.

If we count even the carbon copies and replicates of same japanese models than we can add other 350 cars plus the 200 duplicates there are 500-550 cars in GT6 which are copies/duplicates or very similar to other existing cars so real car count in GT5 is 600 and in GT6 is about 700 (of which majority still japanese models) so big variety but a bit wasted compared to forza motorsport rooster

I mean how can i take it seriously when he/she list both Veyrons as unique cars because they have different lights?. (Fun fact the 2013 16.4 dosen't even exist the production of this model stoped in 2012).

Which is produced from the discussions in that thread (that's the purpose of forum right). The one who made it actually put Veyron as duplicate at first, and several replies point out about Veyron's difference, and he still keep listing the Veyron as duplicates (as he replied they had same specs) for a while, It's listed as not duplicate because several other people who called out for it.

Actually try talking to those that think so for the Veyron (like why you find it ridiculous, if you just think of them as beneath you and not worth talking it's a dick move, they aren't being disruptive, just discussing), or look at other parts other than Veyron which is as the discussion proves, debatable (and the one who made it thinks as duplicate like you do).
