The most cliche vehicle in New Jersey high school parking lots. Period. Literally every suburban NJ teenager wants one of these.
 
Honestly, meh. It has heritage and I'm sure it's a decent car but it doesn't really say anything about the owner, because it could mean anything from 'I love the outdoors' to 'I take selfies of myself holding one of my 20 guns every day' to 'I got this because it goes from point A to point B and I got a good deal on it'.
 
It's the American Land Rover Defender: a terrible car with boatloads of character and real ability off road. Cool, for not trying to be something it's not.
 
Uncool.

Most Wranglers are now mall crawlers purchased to be a symbol of a lifestyle suburbanites glorify. It's sporty and made for those seeking adventure and have an active, exciting lifestyle.

In a smaller group, we have Wranglers that are modified. It appears most of these fall victim to the same types of people that own bro trucks. They purchase them, lift them, throw outrageous amounts of money at them to be theoretically unstoppable off the beaten path, and then proceed to do little more than drive them daily and talk tough.

In the smallest group of Wrangler owners, we have those that don't care about the new persona it's taken, and they beat the tar out of them doing anything and everything with them, on road and off.

Unfortunately, the stigma of the first two groups is unshakable.

Since we are voting on the entire range of the Wrangler, I'm going seriously uncool. The older ones are fine, but the newer ones are nothing buy mall crawlers with angry eyes and god awful wheels.
 
If it was the original Wrangler or even the ones from the mid nineties, I might have actually gone cool.

Too bad dudebros ruin it and drag it down to uncool.

Hate 'em. Rolling death trap. That said, my Dad has a really nice Rubicon on 37" tires that's fully caged. Still hate it though.
 
Meh. I don't think they're very cool, but they also hold a special place in my heart. Not only did I love the Jurassic Park one as a kid, but my dad had one (up until a few months ago) for about 15 years. The thing was very reliable, it never had issues. My brothers and my sister and I all learned how to drive manual with it. But the second you drive one around town without the doors and roof you become a tool. And I did that.
 
A rather ugly, cheap looking facsimile of a Land Rover Defender which does the same job as the Wrangler, only better.

Seriously Uncool.
