Solid cool because I enjoy its French styling and would probably burst if I saw one IRL. I'm sure plenty of Europeans will share its various problems (reliability, I assume based on other polls about similar cars) later in the thread but as an American reading about it I quite like it.

Late-80s. Very cool. Surprised the FWD is about 300kg more than my old 16V Jetta. Probably due to the turbo and that leaded fuel. :sly:

It's plain jane all around to me. "Meh" assumes some coolness, but not enough to be cool. This seems horrendously generic to me even for its time. So while Renault has made some unique cars, this one doesn't scream out to me as much. I'll call Uncool on this one.

A particularly crap, flexy model that was an accident of homologation (iirc) and which Renault struggled to make given the differences in floor layout for FWD/RWD in those days. And it was only a 2l, it really wasn't anything special at the time. It's an oddly bland offering for the cool wall imo.

Design wise Renault are a bit odd. They seem to have moments of genius, followed by mediocrity and ugliness. This is firmly in the mediocre pile. It doesn't seem very powerful but I guess it was OK for the time, especially as it was a 8v engine. Might be the very definition of Meh.

France's answer to the Sierra/Sapphire Cosworth. It's 173hp was pretty pokey in it's day, the E30 BMW 325i made do with 168hp, and its FWD chassis was supposedly pretty decent (i don't ever recall seeing a Quadra badged one in the wild, so i imagine they were pretty rare). Meh.

(The red car in the 2nd photo is a 21 TXi, not a Turbo, BTW)

Definitely Meh. It doesn't even deserve an uncool vote.

Too boxy, wheels are too small. Interior is so :yuck:
