As I have told Aero R, I have ton of Ventrilo experience with servers. Aero, first thing I suggest is changing the codec to Speex. It may not have quite the quality as GSM, but it is the only codec supported by the OSX (which I use) version of Vent. It is better to put a password than restrict the access by the port. That's what the password is for. The password should be changed weekly. I am in the room, using the default port, but I do not see any channels or anything. Give me access and I will configure the channels completely. My name on Vent is GTP_Tzayad. Vaxen, there are a ton of headset options. Not sure about wireless. I'll do some searching and put up some suggestions. The MOST IMPORTANT thing to keep in mind with Vent - well there are TWO things. First, for Windows users, there is a way to 'normalize' all incoming volume, which means everyone will be at the same volume. Mac users do not have that option. I suggest that everyone who can do it, do it. I will put up directions for that. For those that cannot, there are controls for input and output volume. I have never used Vent in a scenario where I have not been able to use Push To Talk. I'm afraid to NOT use it, however, since it will pick up echos, steering wheel screeches, TV volume, and anything else that is loud. I think vent rooms should be restricted to only those people who are in a certain race, and people should be in charge or switching their rooms when they see the line up for their race. I have a horrible sense that the rooms will have too many people in it, and too much talking. I have to run, but we have alot of setup to do. Oh, and Ham, how big is your server? 25? 50?
