The war has ended, this was the battle field, you were the warriors, showed your weapons...and used them....

Discuss your predictions and favorite teams, don't forget to respect others preferences and keep the AUP in mind ;)

I'll start off : to me, Brasil is going to take the cup..again..if there's ever a game between Brasil and Argentina..that would be the final to me.
Spain will be a surprise team..if you can call them like that. They should've got a World cup by now. But my favorite favorite is ...ITALIA!!!

What do you think?
I'll be here posting comments during any game that I get to watch

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

I reckon England have one of the best chances to win the WC this year, its the best chance we have had since 1966 to win another WC. Also I will be watching the WC in HD. :)

Brazil have the best chance to win.

England are strong but I think they still lack the 'X' factor. And to me that is having 2 awesome players upfront not just one. Walcott could be this extra player alongside Rooney, though Rooney won't be 100% for the WC either.

France's squad is not great either IMO, but they could surprise a few people.

I think Ivory Coast will be the senegal of 2006, they have a few great players.

Is Owen playing for England or is he out? besides him, who is another good striker for the England's squad?
Nethrelands have lot's of stars too, but I don't know...I think they'll only be a quaterfinal team..that's all.

I'd like to see a Re-match between USA and Mexico again, I'd love to see the USA disqualifying those egocentric mexicans one more time :mischievous:

Owen is in the squad yes. But he's no where near teh player he was and hasn't played much in the second half of the season due to injury.

The Netherlands usually do well, but never spectactular :(

In the match against Belarus Owen looked pretty sharp and from reports from training have been pretty positive. He's got another two friendlys to get a bit sharper, so i'm hoping he will hit a bit of scoring form maybe.

I predict England will get through the group stages, but once they meet some decent opposition will completely fall apart. I dunno.

And contrary to popular belief, Scotland is there...

Jason Scotland that is. Playing for Trinidad & Tobago.

Casio
Bah. Australia will win. Might as well just face the facts now guys...

Ahhh yeah sure. *back to reality now* What do you think guys? Brasil 6 Australia 0 OR Brasil 5 Australia 1 :D...J/K Casio..

Owen is awesome, I remember when he was with Real, he scored in almost every game he played for them!!

and Daan....That was hilarious!

Well he didn't look too sharp tonight, though only Joe Cole really did. (N.b. I did miss 45-75 mins though.)

What are your dream matches for this world cup?

Mine would be Brasil-Italia, USA-Mexico and England-ARGENTINA :mischievous:

Ciao...

England should glide through Group B, Sweden MAY BE an obstacle, but other than that, they should be fine.

:) 👍 GO T&T!

Teams who IMO will make an impact: Trinidad & Tobago (duh), Brazil , Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Ghana, Ukraine.
Teams who IMO will tank: Germany, England, Ivory Coast, South Korea

Ok let me see...Australia, if they get passed Brasil or Croatia, they'll have to face the winners of group E, so it's either ITALY, USA or Czech Republic.

hhhmmm....it will not be easy to make it to quaterfinals for Australia

But anyway, I'll cheer for them 👍, (as long as they don't go against Italy or Argentina) :D

Ciao...

That's messed up.

I think the goal leader for this world cup will be either Ronaldo, Ruud Van Nistel Rooy, or Andriy Sevchenko.

El Gigante
I love Japan, they are so cool. I hope they win it :)

Yeah, their defense suck ass and ther strikers are useless so I see them doing realy well. Also I recall that their keeper wasn't good enough to play for Pourtsmouth when they were in the 1st division.

But yeah they have a good midfield.

Ivory coast should do well though, they have allot of good players who play in Ligue1 and in the Dutch and Italian league. I'd say they are the strongest African nation in the WC by miles.

Also I watched the T&T friendly against Wales who were fielding a team of mostly unkowns and Wales won with Ugly man Earnshaw scoring both goals.

England will fail spectacularly and Rooney will try and play and be crap or injure himself worse!

I just hope to see more Crouch Robot dances.

Can you be anymore positive about EVERYTHING???

In my part, I expect the best for every country, (even Mexico :yuck: ) because just to play in the World Cup is something unforgetable and an amazing experience. someone who says that a team sucks a**, is very provincial and shallow minded. NO team that qualifies fro the WC sucks, because there are lots of other teams that couldn't make it and therefore..they "suck" more than the others.

Ciao....

Scots to blame for shortage of Trinidad & Tobago shirts ... although it is mainly due to the fact that 6 T&T players ply their trade in Scotland, and nothing at all to do with the fact that T&T are playing Engerland... honest guv... It is fairly typical that we Scots have a slight tendency to support one (or all) of the 31 other teams in the tournament other than the auld enemy, and no doubt there will be quite a few honorary Trinidadian and Toboganists north of the border on the 15th of June...:sly:

I got so excited when the world cup and euro championships come around. What's everyone got planned for the world cup anyway? Where you going to watch it? Have you got flags up?

My dad's got the flags on the front of the house. I've got my flag on my parcel shelf. My england shirt is at the printing shop today, getting my name on the back. The first game I'm going to a massive pub in Braintree, Essex, East of England. For the rest of the games I'm going to be in my local pub.
