GUN, a wild west adventure that reminds me of GTA. It's fairly linear with the main story line, but there are plenty of side missions to keep your attention in the game. Riding the horse reminded me of Zelda for N64. There really isn't anything to ohhhh or ahhhh over in the game, but it does have some entertainment value and it pretty casual to play. It's rated "M" but I think it's for it's sexual suggestions and language. The violence is tolerable but not all that graphic. If your into shooters on consoles, definitely rent this game. If you must have it for PC, you might want to wait until the *new* price drops as I don't feel it's worth the new release price.

It is a fun game, and look forward to building up my character and getting further into the story.

Listed Features:
* New and savage ways to punish: Stealthily sneak up and attack your enemies, use them as cover, stab, shoot, or scalp them. Blast away and watch the aftermath, shoot guns out of enemy hands, or destroy with dynamite.

* Extensive variety of missions and game play: Wage war on horseback, commandeer trains, protect whores, collect bounties, play poker, hunt buffalo, and more.

* Multiple game play styles include: precision shooting, stealth tactics, and use of explosives.

* Embark on numerous side missions that allow you to master gun slinging and horse riding.

* Unlock secret weapons and upgrade your skills and abilities to improve your weapon and
equipment performance.

* Brutal realism: Act as a gunslinger protecting righteousness, or seek retribution as
you face corrupt lawmen, warring tribes, cold-blooded outlaws, and ruthless renegades.

* Encounter legendary gunfighters such as JJ Webb. Employ a multitude of authentic
weapons including: Six shooters, shotguns, Gatling guns, flaming arrows, hatchets,
dynamite, and more.

* Expansive interactive world: Play an extensive variety of exciting missions as you journey west across the new frontier. Ride on horseback through the scenic, yet dangerous Western terrain of canyons, mountains, plains, forests, gold mines and towns.

Gamespot rated it at a 7.4, while most users rated it an average of 7.9. I would agree with that.

Have fun!

Sounds very good imo 👍 Have been following this game on and off for a while now and it does seem to be a winner. Will definitely buy it eventually. Lots of good features, although i'm sure that scalping people possible adds to the M rating too, not very nice.

I've played it for about a week now, not sick of it yet ( PS2 btw ) but I stayed away from scalping and killing animals needlessly unless a mission requires it...

Aren't you just the saint Jay ;) I did see a video review of this on Sky TV and they showed the player shooting at the head of an opponent's horse until the horse fell to the floor and then shooting the rider. A tad harsh perhaps, but at least the game looks like you can be involved in some authentic WW violence which you don't get everyday.

Its mostly because I used to hunt and stopped, so when I am doing it virtually, I have a problem with it too...weird, I can take parking lots full of people in the GTA series, but not animals...the scalping thing just grosses me out, thats all....

I discovered that too but you know why this game is so "bloody"?? It's because Activision is behind it the same people that brought you SOF. :scared: Anyway, this game isn't as bad as I thought... as long as I got cheats on. :D I'm using the PS2 version.
