Having ps3 problems!

I just got ps3 this morning used. It was working fine besides the gta5 freezing gt6 played. I go to try to fix the problem by doing the safe mode thing. Now gt6 won't play it won't even show up when I put the disk in. Also it is still in safe mode which I don't know how to get it out of that. I've restored the whole thing and also defragged it. That's what stopped gt6 from playing. The menu has a red tint to it which I belive is the safe mode. Can I get some help please.
Other games play just gta5 gets stuck on story loading and gt 6 won't show up. I have all the new updates for ps3 also

Which PS3 model do you own?

Normally, in my past errors occured due to short amount memory left in the HDD. If your using a fat model or a early slim model (120gb) problems are likely to occur. I had a 320gb and it had a Hard drive problem where the console would not load.

Your disk drive might be tired from running powerful games. GTA5 and GT6 use all the power from the PS3. I came a across problem like this with Uncharted 3. The game would crash and not load. I stopped playing the game for a while and played non installation games. These are like old PS3 games such as call of duty 4.

The game began to work slightly better after taking a break from it.

Meanwhile, I stopped playing on my PS3 for a few months and I went back. I played Uncharted 3 and the game ran smoothly with no crashing or problems.

So, I believe your console is tired of running those games. I recommend you take a break from them. Be careful, if you continue you are likely to face a YLOD.

Best thing to do is leave your console to rest, it worked from my experience.

This could be the problem, try taking it to the zoo or a therapist.
