That sits freaking perfectly :wow:
Very keen to see where you take it from here... Gotta say, a whale tail would make my heart smile

I haven't seen a wing I like for the car yet. 996.1 GT3 taco wing is cool, but not period correct. 996.2 GT3 wing is too flat. Ducktail looks odd on this body imo.

Some inspiration.

I quite like the 996 Turbo rear wing shape. I know it has the section that raises up but it's not too OTT or too old of a design to fit the car. I have no idea how hard it would be to install one on a car that wasn't designed to have it.
The Turbo does have a squarer look compared to the Carrera though so not sure how well it would fit.

Both the Turbo and C4S are a lot wider, so they actually don't share engine lids nor tail lights. Car will probably be wingless until my skill level on track dictates one.

Forgot about the Street RS wing. Would be spendy for a Genuine one. Maybe take the Aerokit II decklid, find some random carbon wing and add the RS endplates which you can get aftermarket.

I've been following along here and on Instagram, the car looks great at the moment. Will you be doing any styling to the front at the same time? If it was me I'd hold off adding a wing until I can get the front looking equally aggressive.

I thought the widebody width only comes from the widened quarter panels and tail lights, while the engine lid opening are the same across the models, NB or WB.

SVX

I love the 996 C4S butt. IMO, probably one of the best if not the best looking 911 behinds.

More pics from the track day from SVX. Developed a rattle towards the back of the car which sounds like a catalytic converter honeycomb come loose. Will probably upgrade to 200 cell cats. Right after the track day was a 900 mile round trip to Los Angeles where it was 109F the whole time. Coolant temps rose a little, so maybe I'll remove the front bumper and clean the radiators in addition to a coolant flush. Still really happy with the car after it's first year of ownership.

New GT2 front brake ducts arrived. I think I'll need to clearance the fender liner a bit, but otherwise they just snap on in place of the OE parts. Sorry the pic is blurry.
