Well, ive tried with my fully kitted up buick special and the best ive managed is a 3rd in rome ,7th at suzuka and 12th at laguna! Im reallying getting anoyed with this and i need help i dont know what im doing wrong! Can you give me any other tips on what others cars to use please...!
Thanks

I'm pretty sure I used my Countach for these races. You win it in A-spec. He won by a fairly decent amount due to the tuning for the Historic races.

The Buick's pretty heavy, so I'd suggest all weight reductions and then transmission and LSD upgrades to help him get the power down.

Oh right, did you use the countach in the historic races as well? OMG while typing this im trying to do the pick up race in b spec and C.Yoo (haha thats his name ><) keeps braking loads in the corners on daytona! argh i hate b spec!

A-spec yes, I haven't got the B-spec version of it yet.

I also change the brake balance in B-spec to about 3-1, on races such as Daytona I change it to 0-0. He usually picks up after a lap to stop braking in the turns.

Hummm that sounds like a good idea! Ill give that ago go after ive tried ur first tip! Isnt it strange that you cant upgrade the brakes in the tunning shop in GT5?!

No dramas buddy.

As for the brakes, I'm not really too phased. The most I'd do would be change ratios which can be done now. I'm not even too fussed about the single gear ratio tunes either. Every time I played with gears my cars got worse. Ha!

the reg countach or the 25th?
I've been trying with the shelby cobra, he's ok in rome, but on the other 2 tracks keeps sliding all over the place.

You can't use the 25th Anniversary Edition as it was made in the 80s.

I had success using the Cobra for B-Spec'ing...though for Suzuka I had to modify it a bit for Bob to win.

ic, ok will try tweaking the setting on the cobra tomorrow then, otherwise i'll try the countach altho mine is...lime green....:D

I did the Supercar races, both a-spec and b-spec, using the Cobra. I love that car!

It's a serious monster on turns, mostly because it has so much damn torque it's really easy to spin on acceleration. I tweaked the suspension quite a bit between races, and specifically for each track, so it's a little hard to tell you exactly what I did for Bob, but in general, if you have a track with lots of turns, you want to lower it quite a bit and give a decent amount of camber and some toe-in. Also, for turny tracks, you don't need the top speed set anywhere near as high (you did get the fully customizable tranny, right? ;) ), but dropping it down will give you even more insane acceleration. I don't even have an LSD on it yet, though that would likely help quite a bit, too.

B-spec, you have to try to keep your driver at or below the 75% hot level (just where the red starts to show in the bar); if he's too hot, he'll most certainly spin out in turns because he'll accelerate too hard.

A-spec, well, you have to be measured and precise with the throttle and braking on that car. It is not forgiving of mistakes, but I still absolutely love driving that thing, and I use it for every race it's eligible for, since I would give almost anything to have one IRL. ;)

My "almost" fully tuned 74' Countach did this race in B-Spec with no problem. I say almost because all suspension, transmission, and brake settings were set to default and the car still ran away from the competition.
