Help with this please do i use a tune from a tuner? It seems to start out wet track and raining. Do i just use intermediate tires all the time? Just pit for fuel when needed? Or do you start with heavy wet. Ok i definitely need to know which lap and what tires to have put on. Are heavy wets used? Use a basic tune or Praianos tune perhaps?

Are you talking about the 24 minutes of Spa?

Assuming you are talking about the 24 minute race, I just used Intermediate tyres for the whole race. I used the RB Junior as couldn't be bothered with other cars and it was fine for the whole race on Inters..in fact, I set my fastest time when the track was completely dry

I used the R18, always use race softs to start with as there is a tyre wear glitch that means they don't start to wear out until your first pit stop for fuel.
Otherwise, just be consistent. Most of the corners have concrete to run off on if you go wide, but some of them just have miles of sand!
If you don't know the track, then turn on the driving line.

I would suggest either Intermediate tyres or Racing Hard the entire way depending on which you prefer, they both present very consistent performance the whole way through. Make sure the tune is compatible with the tyres (don't use a Comfort Soft tune and expect it to perform on Racing Hard tires).
As far as "Tyres vs. Conditions" is concerned, RH and Intermediates will perform equally well up to about 90% standing water, RH will give slightly worse cornering grip but will last longer and Intermediates will give slightly better cornering grip but won't last as long. Its a matter of tactics really and you will have to decide which is best for you and your car.

I just ran this again last night using the 908 on RS. Pitted at the end of lap 4 and 8 and finished 1.37 minutes ahead. Fun track and a good way to earn over 500 million credits @ 200%. Did get a 3 second shortcut penalty for cutting a corner after getting bumped.

$500,000,000? Interesting since the max amount of credits is $50,000,000...

1st yes I do mean the 24 minute one with rain and the 500k gold prize. I was trying with the Praiono tuned 88CV this car has proven great in times past. perhaps there is a tune for racing cars in wet conditions?

I just did in in the RB Jr with one set of racing hards all the way through. Was a while back so I don't really recall, but I think I lapped most if not all of the field.

RB jr? hmm I shouldn't be having a problem in 88CV it seems its just me I reckon. Do you guys use TCS or ABS any of the aids?

SauberC9, Start on racing softs, After 1st stop leave softs up front replace rears with racing mediums, keep your eye on the fuel before the stops you can save time in the pits by not filling the tank all the way to full. Easy win. Don't worry about buying inters, or wets. I did all the special races in one day and pretty much used this formula to win all the 24min races. Without much drama.

Any suitable car with racing tyres will do, soft if you prefer & car handles okay, tyre wear is not an issue.
Pit halfway for fuel & just drive smoothly rather than fast.
AI will pit several times letting you win.

So the RB Junior will win this race without pitting? Ifthats the case I wasted tons of time trying to beat this course lol.

Yes, because if you run the event with the RB Junior, then all the AI cars will be RB Juniors. And, having run this event 3 times, the AI cars pit at least twice, sometimes 3 times: They pit when they need to change from Inters to slicks and then a lap later they will often go back in for Inters as the track is starting to get wet. I haven't run the race recently but presumably it is the same....you will find that your tyres may get down to 3 grip by the end but you c an just slow a bit to allow for it. This also applies to the Sarthe race

That's awesome! I love using the Junior. And I can use it on Sarthe. Thanks for the help.

Any race you do with the Juniors becomes a one make race, unfortunately the AI is not even close to the Red Bull events.

I tried to use my Redbull Jr at Leman, but I got AI full of LMP and Group C... How can I run the event with the AI full of RB Junior?

I as well tried this RB Junior idea, it doesnt work. I was still stuck racing the regular cars.

My apologies :(. I could have sworn I did that race with the RBJ....am sure I did 2 races with it so not sure what the other one was. I'll have to check it later when I put the game on

*Edit: Just had a search through recent threads and, from what I can tell, the 1.05 Update removed the glitch where entering the RBJ in a race caused the race to become a one-make RBJ race. :grumpy:

Ah 🤬! I wish to go back to 1.04 ver. for 2 races, but too late. I almost won it with my 905 EVO LM.

But it's quite easy to beat these cars, because you don't have to pit. Other cars have to pit at least 3 times during the race.

Well to all the guys that told me to buy the Peugeot 905....Thank you!!!! I beat Spa and Le Mans with it. The car is flawless!
