Here's my Drift S15 that I built. Hybrid system required.

Been a LONG while since I posted back here again. Since that hybrid thing came out, thanks a lot to the person who made it, I built a drift silvia for drifting. It was hard trying to get enough HP to use from the stock SR20, so I did a few realistic swaps. I kept the same manufacture parts as in Nissan so it'd be more realistic.

I threw a RB26DETT motor in there. Then bolted on S15 upgrades. Quite the fun! Well I figured I might as well let the better drifters out there drive her and have fun with it as well. Just think of it like....lending a Tuner's shop car to a professional drive like Tsuchia or one of those D1 drivers.

Have at it! Make vids if you want!
here's the Note pad thingy for the hybrid....just import the car in and you're all set.

um whats hybrid dude so i can vew this and how are you putting rb25det's in your s15 and stuff, hit me up man

p.s
kinda sounds like forza racing with the engine swaps man

You need the GT3Edit program thing. I can be found on here in the hybrids forum. I dont' know if it's still up. But I do have it on my computer. Then you need export or one of those memory card reading things to be able to transfer the data back onto the memory card.

Here's where you can find the program
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=28735

any viewers even drive it? LOL

thats some pretty sweet stuff man hmm.... might have to try that out do you have any vids of your s15 in action and the 180sx doing some drift action i would love to see that, now i can't wait to get back to alabama so i can put a rb25det in a 180sx man sweet

I'll try to get a vid from my digi cam and also a picture. My digi cam doesn't have sound....but just think of it.....having the Skyline engine roaring....LOL that's the best way I can describe it.

I'll have to contact some member on here who's done a video try this vehicle and make a vid.

yea just make a music vid just put one of ya fav songs over the vid pretty much like the vids around here also if you want more vids and you got 60-70 bucks to spare go to best buy and get a dazzel usb video capture just hook ya ps2 up to it and record ya replays

Here's the drift settings on the S15

Spring Rate F/R: 10kg/mm, R8kg/mm
Ride Height F/R: 95mm, R90mm
Shock Bound F/R: 7, 8
Shock Rebound F/R: 7, 8
Camber F/R: 2.5*, 2.0*
Toe F/R: -3.0, -3.0
Stabilizers F/R: 5, 1
2way LSD rear w/ simulation tires all around.
Car assit electronics OFF

Here's a pic of the evil thing...

thats sweet can't wait to get back home to try this out would love to put a supra engine and a hachi that would be sweet, and rb25 my 240 and don't know what to put in my s2000

wow you just pimp your ride lol

Way too much power, in my opinion... Probably good for race drifting though...

I have 2 hybrid S15's... Both Mildbrids (realistic parts and settings)... One has an SR20DET from an S14 (S15 SR20 has weird response for some reason), Skyline brakes, lighter chasis, and some various other hybrided parts... The other has an RB26DET from an R34 Skyline GTR, Skyline brakes, lighter chasis, Nismo R33 suspension, and R34 Skyline rim size swap... Both of the vehicles have around 300hp to 400hp, and drift like a dream...

I hope MK is working hard on making a hybrid program for GT4... I have so many ideas I want to implement...

How about a Datsun 510 with a red top SR20DET, or a '68 Nissan Fairlady 2000 with twin turbo 300ZX engine, or an Audi A3 with a bi-turbo V6 from the S4, or a VW Jetta with an HP racing R32 3.2L VR6 turbo... The list goes on and on and on...

;)

Yea, a little too much power for some, but I needed that much so I could drift the higher speed corners at will. Trust me, it's just enough. I wouldn't want to go higher than this.

Here's a short clip I did using my not-so-good digi cam. Sorry no sound, but you get the idea. I didn't want to put in a song because it'd be too large too to be worth the download for such a short clip.

Make a clip of it you guys, if you have the free time to do nothing....LOL

Trust me, you don't need that much power... Every turn (or group of turns) in GT3 can be drifted, quite spectacularly, with under 300hp (including the large loops on Complex String)... I have fully linked a number of courses (Laguna Seca, Apricot Hill, Special Stage Route 5, etc...) with a 245hp S14 K's Aero... Tons of smoke and plenty of angle...

Now, there is nothing wrong with using a lot of power (if you use the right tires, which you are not), but it is not necessary in the least... Sim tires with that much power??? That's insane... No wonder your clip showcases sloppy uncontrolled drifting... You have too much power for the tires you are using... Drifting is all about balance, and you have exceeded that balance on a number of levels... I would be happy to help balance out your settings... I promise you would have a much more controllable vehicle...

I sure hope MK hasn't forgotten about us hybrid builders... I must be able to create hybrids in GT4... There are too many vehicles screaming to be hybrided...

I'm not here to argue about the cars HP. Every car is setup differently. I have my car set up with power that I can use. If what you're wanting to prove is that you can drift better than me with less hp, I'm not going to get into any of that BS. I'm not here to compete with anyone, if that's what you or everyone else sees it as...

I'm just posting up my CAR so that the better guys who can control a car in GT3 and have at it. I didn't have any intensions on putting up a video, but someone asked, so I mustered up one. You think you can pull off a perfect drift everytime? I don't think so. The vid doesn't show the best that I could do.... just shows what I do.

Load up my car and have at it and tell me what you think, not just by looking at the numbers on the board and viewing a video clip.

I don't really play much of GT3 anymore, only sometimes because I do my driving (REAL DRIVING) at events like SCCA Solo II, Club events i.e. Porche Club track days, Corvette club track days....etc..

Whoa... Settle down partner... No one is attacking you... I even said there was nothing wrong with drifting really high HP cars... I just said it was not necessary... You can drift any turn in the game at high speed with tons of smoke and angle with under 300hp... That's all I'm saying... You just keep saying that it is necessary for you to drift the long corners, and it's just not...

Your control is a bit sloppy in the vid... Your line, and execution is just a bit raw and unrefined... This is probably due to the excess power and wrong tires... Sim tires are made for cars with under 300hp... Above that you need to change to sports, or various racing tires depending on the level of power you have (For RWD's)... I'm not trying to attack you, I'm trying to help you (unless you just want to live in blissful ignorance)... That's what I'm here for... Drop the ego for a second, and listen to what I'm saying... I have tried the car, and it's not bad, but it works much better with sports tires (or racing slicks)...

BTW, if you don't want criticism of youir drifting skills, don't post videos... This is a forum, and opinions are par for the course...

Good luck with your hybriding...

;)

Having power without balance is bad, but having power with balance you can do great things. I always get the "you have too much power" from many peeps. I need tires to break loose on demand, not a linear powerband, which is why it has 700+hp with good low-end torque. I have before drifted with slicks and sports tires, the speeds were just a bit too fast compared to real life.

I haven't had the chance to play with the steering wheel for GT3 at all. It would smooth out things a lot better (throttle control and steering input). Being smooth with the control pad is hard, being steering with the analog.

The power is right for me because I do more power-oversteer for the high speed turns (100+mph). No clutch means I would need power. There's the feint, e-brake and all that... but I guess it's how you'd drive...

...like I said, the video doesn't show the best.... which is why I posted up the car to let other people drive it instead of me.

thing is I would like to see someone drive it and make a vid, if willing.
