How can I convert a car?

Is there a way to make a Rally F1 Car? Or maybe a Rally Viper? Evrytime I try the game locks up when I try to Go to any track with it. I've added rally car suspentions, chassis, and drive trains to a F1, but to no avail. Is it possible?

Also, I want to know how the Turbo Boost Modifier codes work. ( Turbo 1, Turbo 2, Turbo 3)I'm not quite sure I understand these, I can edit them, but I doin't see much of a difference any time I do.

PS. I added a 787B turbo on a F688/s and the acceleration, handeling, top speed, etc. are perfect for me.

U can make any car a rally car. The key is in the tires. For a car such as an F1, or any other car that can't normally rally, U have to change the name of it to a car that will allow U to buy dirt tires. Once U purchase the dirt tires and save U may change the name back and it will still work at rallies. So for instance if U have an F1 in the 1st slot, U could use this code:

CarBase 1C041350 - DD29AE7F 1C041354 - 5E13565F impreza_22b_98

to change the name and then buy the dirt tires. Not sure why, but U have to buy them, U can't shark them on.

As far as the turbo boost modifier codes, are U refering to the turbo 1-6 codes? If so, I'm not sure if anyone is certain what they do, but it's been speculated that it adjusts the amount of turbo boost the car gets in each gear.

Do U mean will it still handle as good on road courses? Cuz I can't say how it will handle on dirt. Changing the name won't affect the handling, but I can't say for sure, once U buy the dirt tires, how it will handle when U go back to pavement. I'm pretty sure U get the F1 tires back. Just try it out, and don't save the game unless U like it.

I built a 4wd F1 Rally quite a while ago that was pretty fun to drive on the dirt.

Thanks guys. I got it to work. I also noticed that I could buya VCD controller for it when I went to the tune shop. Quite cool I dare say. I added a 787B turbo and the thing hits 400MPH and it's stil handeling quite nice. For rally, it's pretty much the same. But, here's my one final request. Could you please tell me the basecode for the escudo? The little tiny Impreza Tires don't look right on the F1 when it's on dirt :D Quite funny .lol

BTW, if U want to try a different look for rallies try these out on it

chassis 1C041378 - 3C969624 1C04137C - 88C001F7 altoworks_sport_ltd_97_ext
Front Height 1C04129C - 1456E70C 255
Rear Height 1C0412A0 - 1456E70C 255

Lol, I havn't raised mine one bit :D.. all I did was increase the rear spring rate that way it doesn't bottom out at 400+MPH.

Since I had the Escudo base, I bought some nice wheels for it. Make that a nice set of 20 different wheel styles :D . It's my fav. Hybrid/Car of all time. The only things I did was add a Viper trans. Then a 787B turbo, and I sharked 2.50 Downforce on the rear. The brake balence is at 24 on both the front and rear. Very cool. 3'020.619 On the Complex String. 😈
