Shortly after beginning GT5 last summer, I learned to check the UCD after every 5 races, and to keep more than 15,000,000 on hand in case that rare car suddenly popped up. I can't seem to unlearn that habit.

In GT5, I was disappointed a few times because I did not have enough credits on hand when my "must-have" car was available. But now in GT6, every car is available every day. Still, I feel naked and vulnerable unless I have more than 40,000,000 in the bank.

Does anyone else suffer from this irrational affliction?

Nope. Not any more. If I need some money I just grind................ ok, I'm a liar.. I always keep at least 3 mil in the bank..

I horde in every game I play. However in GT6 I have been a bit broke lately because the online doesn't pay well at all. I might also be a bit spoiled by the payout in other racing games too. The more assists you leave off in other games, the more rewards you earn. I usually race with all assists off so its strange not to be rewarded for that in the GT series. It just means once in a while I go back to the campaign to make more money, then go back online.

I don't hoard as such but I do try to keep at least 5M at any time, just in case the WRS Time Trial requires me to buy an expensive car. I haven't really been buying cars recently as I spend all my time in Arcade Mode....the car buying is being done in GT5 at present (have bought nearly 1,000 cars in just under 2 months) so I don't feel the need in 6 yet but I probably will start when new events come along.

I have loads of money in GT6, but I don't want to buy anymore cars (even though I like collecting them) simply because my garage is almost full & I really hate the Stockyard. I don't want to use it & start having to move vehicles between it & the garage, it's such a convoluted mess of an idea that PD need to rethink.

I miss the UCD. I used to buy only cars with 15,000 on the clock so that they would all be under 10,000 miles in my Garage. Oh happy days!

I once hoard 50M credits to buy the Giulia 10M, Mark IV 20M, and 330 P4 20M in one big purchase. I'm planning to do it again but I'm a bit busy recently.

I'm a hoarder for sure - I don't buy much and don't sell anything. I've been hovering 13.5mill for the past few months. I don't want to resort to grinding if I need something as I hate grinding in any game. Seasonals keep me topped up (to my standards) and help keep me above 13mill.

Unfortunatly like you I hoard credits I just cannot seem to let my account go below 47 mill ...after fully upgrading a car it costs 200,000 plus with out n2o. I seem to buy atleast 10-15 cars a week. So my account goes down quickly and I find myself racing the redbull series over and over again, its a non stop vicious cycle.

You don't really need to keep more than 2 million in the bank as the only reason you need to suddenly buy something is for a seasonal using a car you don't have.
Only thing that would catch you out is if it was for one of the few 15-20 mil cars.
No UCD & sudden need to buy that low millage expensive car anymore.

Exactly. But I can't shake the habit!

+/- 20 mil in GT6. Tuning several non-race cars at once can put a dent in your credits :ouch:
....20 mil in GT5 at all times and STILL never got a 2J!

Hah! I got my first by creating another account with a 1970 birthday, and gifted myself the 1970 ticket. But eventually, it showed up in the UCD. Fortunately, they slashed the price in GT6--wasn't it 12,500,000 in GT5?

Way to rub it in. I always forget about my second account...DOH!

I think grinding is a chore, but I feel guilty if I'm not earning while I drive!

I have every car that costs more than 6,000,000, including a couple duplicates of 20,000,000 cars, and probably more money in the bank than I will spend on cheaper cars. But still, I buy cars for paint chips just so I have room in the bank for more earnings.

I have 4 coffee breaks left to gold and then I'll be at 100%. Maybe then I'll be able to relax and perfect my driving in arcade mode or improving seasonal times for hours after I collect my gold paycheck and paint chip.

No - I don't hoard in GT6. I used to in GT5 - I had all the cars and multiple 2J's and 2D's each with different tunes and I used to gift cars every day. Now, with no B Spec to do the grinding for me I'm finding it a real struggle to earn credits to buy and tune the cars I need for online racing. I find the offline races boring so I only do them to practise a track and to get enough credits to buy tuning parts.

Off topic, but I'm intrigued by your signature line about Classic Racing Sundays! I want in!

I like to keep a good amount of cash on hand, but I am prone to spending large amounts on pointless cars too. I think right now I have fully tuned Lexus LFA Nurb, Ferrari 458, Lambo Diablo GT2, and Lambo Aventadors in my garage I have never even driven.
I have not had to grind at all, but I did get 20 15th ani cars and 1mil credits to start with, and I golded all the high paying seasonals so that combined with just competing career races, I have sufficient funds for my spending habits.

Old habits are hard to break. I didn't start buying cars until I reached 20 mil. of hard earned credits. Glad I didn't do the glitch because I know I have earned the cars I own. Buying cars is more strategic, not just spending credits like a drunkin' sailor. I know there is no good reason to keep this many credits in the till, but I just do.

I have to have spare cash available if needed (If only I did that with real money).

I got the 15 Ann version, but will not go below 1M cr, so that I do not feel I have had an advantage.

Nope, don't even know what it is. Did the Merc VGT and M4 money glitch, loaded up the garage and the bank account and haven't looked at it for 3 months

I'm in the camp that something in the VGT garage may come in that I want to buy an extra one or can't win the first one. The other thing I find myself doing is reading these threads on fastest cars for this race or that and then buying one and tuning it and trying the race myself. SO a little cash on hand is good :)

With 35 million in the bank I suppose I'm a credit hoarder. I did the credit glitch once but never really splurged on anything other than buying all of the NSX models.

I guess I'm waiting until I hit the credit limit before making any big-time purchases in the 15-20 million credit range. Otherwise I'm not much into grinding for credits.
