Hello all.

Only just discovered this website and its great.
I have a few questions if you dont mind? I have tried the search but I get a timed out message everytime.

OK, how can a obtain the best picture quality from my TV?

It is a Sony Trinitron KV-32FX65 U widescreen and has a scart and S-Video connection. Which one of these will give me the best quality picture for GT4?

I am currently using a scart connection on the widscreen setting.

It also has the following settings:

Wide
Zoom
14:9
4:3
Smart

I assume wide is the best setting?

Also, how can I get the colours just right?

What should the following be set to? -

Contrast
Brightness
Colour
Sharpness

I have noticed that GT4 has a 16:9 (?) setting? Should this be used for widescreen tv's?

One other thing, which version of GT4 has most English in? Japenese or Chinese?

Sorry for all the questions but I hope you can all help.

Thanks.

As I have the same set as you, I'll do my best to answer you.

SCART RGB cable is a must. It have to be connected on SCART 1 or 2, as those are true RGB scarts. S3 is an euro-scart and it gives lousy picture.

Wide-screen is a must. Also, be sure that you have properly set up your console in a setting menu (RGB SCART out, wide, etc...).

As for settings, I keep my contrast something above the mid-value, brightnes below the mid-value, color little bit below brightness and sharpness on little bit abowe mid. It gives me the best feel of true-colours.

There is a nice touch to do with colour hue, but you must have a S-video cable to do so: connect the console via s-video on scart 4, adjust hue towards right (to an green) to mantain the right balance of the red colour which is often too exposed. After you did the hue set-up, connect the console to RGB SCART and the hue setting will stay.

Thanks for the info, I'll try those settings with the demo! Only just played the demo today!
