One good thing that will come out of this outbreak, hopefully, is that companies will be hurt and learn that putting all their eggs in one basket (i.e all their manufacturing in China for pure profit) may not be a good idea.

Depends on where it goes to be manufactured and whether the company desides to trade a larger margin of profit for the ability to continue production if a crisis occurs. It's a matter of wether you'd like to pay more but be able to continue buying it or not being able to buy it at all because there's nothing being made.
Also, there's the fact that all these companies all go to China for their manufacturing, because of the low worker wages, is only helping perpetuate that low wage system, which is frankly not fair and should disappear.

'Business' tends to go for short term gain.
'Business' seem to only have a 'conscience' when consumers also gain a conscience about the conditions the workers who produce the goods they consume and apply pressure. Sadly things generally have to be very bad and publicised for pressure to be applied by consumers.

That mentality worked out extremely well for a certain massive company recently... *cough* Boeing *cough*

The truth is so much stuff is made in China that you almost don't have a choice but to buy things made there. Gaming hardware, for instance, has so much stuff made there that we'd end up not gaming, of we tried to boycott. The consumer's hands end up tied.
