For those of you having problems getting gold in IC-3, I have found your solution!
I did this with aids at ABS:1, TCS:1. MT.
I am using a DFGT with no clutch and no braking modifications. I have watched tons of videos on youtube, but no one has done this.
Instead of driving with 2 hands and using the paddle shifters, use 1 hand and the stick.
1st turn, drift it by cutting the wheel to the left, tap the brake, downshift to 2nd then feather the throttle till you have traction.
2nd turn, enter very close to the right edge. Brake so that you can keep one set of wheels on the red and whites. VERY IMPORTANT. Downshift to FIRST as you are coming into the turn.
This is nigh impossible to do with paddles as you can't upshift back to second while turning the wheel. If you learn to use the stick instead, this makes this race easy.
3rd turn. Brake early, hold 2 wheels on red and whites. Don't accelerate till you hit the apex.
I managed a 18.225 with this strategy, whereas before I could never beat a 13.030. Also worth mentioning. I drove this track for at least 4 hours with 2 hands. When I switched to 1 hand and shifter, it took me less then 15 minutes to get the gold.
