is it possible to move the huge thread to the test forum, so everyones post count drops, and then move it back and they get their count back? i think someone should do that, then move it back in a week to see the differences. heh.

ok, i'll pretend i'm talking to a slow child.

here it is:

1) move the "how many replies can we get" thread to the test forum.
2) all people who have posted in that thread will experience a drop in post count.
3) we watch for a week or so.
4) the thread gets moved back to the 'strip.
5) everyones post counts go back to "normal".

the posts in the test forum aren't counted, so theoretically if the huge replies thread was moved there it would not be counted.

You could figure the numbers yourself. I went through it a couple months back and figured out where the first 20 or so people would be. To get a count of the posts per user in a single thread, go to the forum it is in and click on the number of posts for the thread.
