I want GT1 and 2 menu music back in GT5,who else?

Yeh, I loved the GT1 menu music! And of course, who can forget the intro to the first game, just brilliant, the best opening to any game I reckon! I bet the neighbours always knew when I was playing GT back then haha :lol: The build up right to the bit where the car takes off and the Impreza come smashing through the GT logo, just great!
 
More music in GT5 the better. I really like GT1's Arcade Mode menu, subtle hard rock.

Yeah, we need an alternative to the loungy upscale restaurant atmosphere. Its not bad or anything like that.
 
This is a great idea. Some of those "retro GT songs" are really beautifully cleverly composed compared to some other game background songs of the same era. Just by listening you can tell it is obvious that Kaz-san has been able to gather a top team around him, even from the start.
Anyway, Hideo Kojima used this hair raising, mind refreshing retro technique in MGS4. So why couldn't this happen in GT5? There is nothing wrong with few extra options so let's hope PD does the same.

p.s. Currently I play GT2, started it from scratch, and only one problem exists ;) :lol: . When I turn off the BGM also the beautiful menu music is gone :grumpy:

I definitely want traditional GT music for GT5. Honestly, the jazz material in Prologue is actually fantastic and it's so calm and relaxing, but for GT5 I'd so much rather what we used to get. It just fits the game much better.

The jazz in GT5 Prologue is nicely written but my favourites has to be the ambient electronic tracks. I wouldn't mind a couple of those making their way into GT5. GT1 had some great tracks too and probably some of the best in the series. I like the electronic style very much and the Honda theme was brilliant. It would great if they can refresh some of these for GT5 and keep the old feeling to them. Most of GT4's music was incredibly cheesy however and something I just want to forget.

Honestly though, I think all the music in GT5 will be new and sound like big budget productions. I will be glad as long as it's ambient and not too jazzy (or disturbing like GT4).
 
Mmm, the Honda menu music back in GT1 was just amazing, i would fully welcome the manufacturer menu music back into the GT series, it's unlikely, but you never know :)

I liked the tuning menu for GT4. That was my favorite from that game.

I'd love to hear GT1 menu music in GT5, especially the awesome TVR dealer music.
 
GT1's soundtrack is without doubt the best and most awesome in the bunch, both the menu music and real songs (Feeder, Ash and Garbage ftw).

Anyways, POLYPHONY, if you could please place the first GT's dealership music back into GT5 (remixed or otherwise, standard or as a special-unlockable) your diehard fans would be eternally grateful in the extreme.

Despite 95% of suggestions overall on forum are pretty much obsolete, I stand by this one.

They should revamp some of the old GT music. GT's menus have always been brilliantly relaxing. PD has never let me down with their choice of menu music. The racing music is another story, but then I don't race with music, lol.

Very true. Theres little game music I like more than GT menu music. Mechwarrior 2 comes to mind, check it out on youtube if you are so inclined.

I don't nessecarily want the old music back but I would hope we get some music that is as fun or better.

I know, but I've gotten so used to driving without the music for all these years. I watch the replays with music, but driving competitively just takes all of my concentration. It's like driving without sound...some people(including myself) just can't perform 100% without hearing the tires or engine. I'm still currently creating a huge playlist for GT5 tho!
 
I'd love to hear the West City tune in GT5, from GT2 specifically. It's my favourite tune of the game. The re-make on GT4 is awesome too, sometimes I go to the menu just to hear the music :D
