I know most people have been wondering what this car looks like in the past, well good news, I have found a video of it on youtube. I have typed in the website adress below!

Edit: I have removed this link, as you can now view the video on page 6 of this thread!

I have found a website with pictures of the car from the game on it! Please use the link below:

I was just reading the information from the website and I found some really intresting information. The car is not a official Lamborghini. It is a Nomrad Diablo GT1 which is run by the Japan Lamborghini Owners' Club. It looks the same and has the same mid-engined layout. Polophony Digital used this car instead of an official Lamborghini because of the huge lincensing fee they would have to pay if they did use an offical model. More intresting information shortly...

I have just relised that if you look at my avatar, you will see that the car on it is, guess what, the Lamborghini Diablo GT JGTC. Take a look yourself!

Very cool. Nice sliding action...it sure looks like a Lambo but it doesn't sound like one, unfortunately. It just sounds like another "Polyphony LM". :(

You're new here. Just so you know: you don't have keep adding post after post to the same thread; just hit the "edit" button to add text to a previous post. This helps keep things from getting out of hand.

Please use the EDIT button rather than stringing multiple posts together like this, particularly if less than about 24 hours have passed between entries. I'll merge these together for you.

Also, be sure to search the GT3 Forum for "Diablo" in order to find several other threads on this car.

I have it in one of my GT3 game saves, and it's quite fun to drive.

Ok guys thanks for the really helpful advice. I am new to the GTPlanet so I would'nt know this and I will try to remember to do this in the future. Thanks for merging them together for me Duke. This is really helpful. Could you tell me how to paste pictures properly aswell, since everytime I try to do this a white box with a red cross in it comes up, and not the picture. Thanks again! Oh yeah, and I forgot to add, how do you copy and paste video's from other sites!

P.S: DUKE RULES!

If it's a picture online, just put the link, and put

It turns out that the Nomad Diablo GT was slower in real life than it seems on the game. From what I have read, it never managed to finish beyond 12th place in the 6 races it did during 2000. Who cares, the fact is, from what Duke said this is a very fun car to drive. And it looks like a good drifter car from the video I have watched!

Thanks, but I think I better stick to using links for now. I really like the look of the Diablo GT though, In fact, my opinion is that it looks better than a real Lamborghini. Does anyone else think the same?

I know this is a seprate post but it is carrying on the subject of the Lamborghini, rather than me asking for advice. It turns out that the Nomad Diablo GT was slower in real life than it seems on the game. From what I have read, it never managed to finish beyond 12th place in the 6 races it did during 2000. P.S: Please do not merge this one, since the others were just me asking for advice and this is'nt. Thanks!

That's not true, and I don't know where you got that piece of information.

This Diablo, aka, the GT1 (1 of 2), was pretty much Lamborghini's first attempt outside their SuperTrophy with the SV-Rs. The car was entered in 1998 and ran until 2001. In 2000, it finished 3rd at Suzuka, and was driven by Takao Wada and Hisashi Wada belonging to JLOC (Japanese Lamborghini Owner's Club). This is chassis #VLA12001 and amazingly, the first prototype. Prototype #2 (#WLA12000) was an unfinished racer, turned into pretty much a road legal show car. It's last known location is Toulon, France at Signes Advanced Technology. Lamborghini would carry on and project the GT2, however, ditching the idea and moving on to the GTR. The GT2 resides at Lamborghini's Museum.

Thanks McLaren. How did you know that. I read on IMG about the car, and it said that it was not a proper Lamborghini. Mind you, it's only a game website, so I suppose they would'nt know much. Thanks for posting this information, I would'nt want to give anyone the wrong idea about the car. :) :) :)

P.S: Do you agree with me about the Diablo beeing one of the best looking cars in Gran Turismo 3!

It's the best looking, and the best sounding. It sounds like a 6.0 V12 should sound in a game. It is super quick and can drift very well. I wish it was in GT4...

Same here. But of course they cant add it to GT4 now. But I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that they put it GT5. And if they did they should put it in every version of Gran Turismo 5, instead of just putting it in the Japanesse version only. It really cheesed me of when they did'nt put it in the PAL version of GT3!

You should see all the cars they alternated between game versions.

Mini Cooper 1.3i in Chinese GT4, ESSO Supra JGTC in Japanese GT4, 10 more Hyundais in Korean GT4, etc.

Also the NSTC Version of GT3 has 6 different F1's, while the PAL has 2. :indiff:

That sucks! In my view, every version of the game should always have the same cars. It's more fair that way!

From what I have found out on the internet the JLOC still use Lamborghini's. Well, you cant blame them can you. Especially when a car looks so good!

Word.

The cars in the Korean GT4 have a guy talking about each of the showroom cars. :grumpy: No other version has that.

The Lamborghini Diablo JGTC is the best car. I even used it's engine on a F1 and turbo'd it. It sounds so awesome and great powerband on it as well.

Sorry, I got a bit confused. I have already seen it. When you said you used it on a F1 and turbo'd it, did you mean you used the engine from the Lambo in an F1 and gave it a turbo?

I'm sorry so many of you have taken an interest in the Diablo from GT3 this late in the game.
Back in the day when GT3 was the only PS2 GT, a few of us old timers did a racing series in the OLR forums here.
We ran custom built (using the Mk's GT3 garage editor) to race JGTC cars over 10 to 20 laps. It was a ton of fun and we all enjoyed it greatly.
Sorry you guys missed out! :ouch:

Yeah, that's what I meant. Of course you can add me. :)

I threw in the Lamborghini's engine using a Garage Editer on the computer, and my friends Action Replay Max.

EDIT: Kent beat me posting in split seconds! :scared:

This is a link to search results in the short race series forum.
If you're interested to see what went down in the series I mentioned, this link will provide you with all you could ever want to know. 👍

Not that ancient history like that is something people care about but it was still great fun.
In fact, if you felt like it, you could probably get replay files of the winners from each race. 👍

 Looking at those results makes me laugh.
Carbonfiber Man (now a different name)
UB57 (now a different name)
Gokents (guess who that was)
Neon Duke (now a different name)

Funny how things change over time.

Ok, Thanks kent. Would you mind if I typed up stuff about the races as it might help me continue the issue about the Lamborghini?

Of course not, heck, the fact that anyone would be interested in that series this long afterwards would make Bob (UB57/Oldgeezer) very happy. I'm sure everyone involved would be honored to know people still have some level of interest in the event (even if it is only minimal). :sly:

Yeah, there's only 6-7 members actively posting in the GT4 sections now, by active I mean post here atleast once a week or so. :guilty:

Hopefully this can bring GT3 back to life a little.

If you to want, (racex510 and Kent) we could try and bring that series back. Only problem is I have the PAL Version. Oh Nuts! Kent would be the leading man though since he knows most about it. Sorry if that sounds like a weird idea!

Here are the results from the series that Kent was talking about:

This was sent to me by racerx510 as info to help me with this thread, so I thought it should be put here to explain more about the car:

The Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT Japan GT Championship car has a 625HP, 6.0L V12 Engine with a Mid Engined, Rear wheel drive layout. It is capable of speeds over 200MPH stock, and can only be in the other GT3's when you hack into the memory card.

The road car of the Diablo JGTC offers downforce with out a wing already, and now with the added wing and body kit, it is capable of beating a McLaren F1 Race Car on the track, if you can drive it well.
