Welcome to the main page of the IRS GT-4 Championship Series! This series is open to all drivers. The series will have an 8 race season with one special event mid-season. This series will only be open to select FR and MR vehicles from the Gr.4 category in game. (please see the list of eligible vehicles below). Only three cars per manufacturer will be made available for competition. Car selection will be on a first come, first serve basis. Series organizers will post the date and time when drivers can request their vehicle of choice. Any vehicle requests made prior to this date and time will not be honored. This is to be sure all participants have a fair chance at using their vehicle of choice.

IMPORTANT - On Saturday June 15th there will be a "Classification Event" held to determine whether there will be a need for a Pro and Pro-Am driver split within the series. If it is determined that drivers will be split into categories any participant who missed the classification event will AUTIMATICALLY be placed in the Pro split for Season 1.

Season 1 of the INTERNATIONAL RACING SERIES GT4 Championship will not feature a team category. Season 1 will be a straight up battle where only one driver will claim the title in their respective class (Pro or Pro-Am).

Future seasons will feature a team format where 1 Pro and 1 Pro-am driver will be allowed to form teams and fight for a team title as well as the overall title in their respective categories.

IMPORTANT INFO RE: BoP and Ballast.

July 13th, 2019 - I realized today that the GT Sport 1.40 update made "BoP adjustments" to several Gr.4 cars when it was released. I have elected to stick with the BoP figures that existed prior to update 1.40 when calculating/applying Ballast for the remainder of the season. PD doesn't always get things right when they make these adjustments and all of the testing for the series was done prior to this update.

Therefor, when adding ballast to your cars please refer to the listed BoP figures in the "Car Regulations" spoiler tab of the OP.

The following Gr.4 cars are eligible for the series (GT Sport BoP stats listed ):
Honda NSX Power = 94%/370 hp - Weight=108%/3,326 lbs
V8 Vantage Power = 99%/395 hp - Weight = 107%/3,183 lbs
Ferrari 458 Italia Power = 99%/370 hp - Weight = 105%/3,124 lbs
McLaren 650S Power = 95%/379 hp - Weight = 110%/3,153 lbs
Chevrolet Corvette Power = 94%/389 hp - Weight = 110%/3,274 lbs
Jaguar F-Type Power = 100%/399 hp - Weight = 106%/3,155 lbs
BMW M4 Power = 99%/390 hp - Weight = 106%/3,188 lbs
Ford Mustang Power = 102%/404 hp - Weight = 105%/3,241 lbs
Porsche Cayman Power = 94%/357 hp - Weight = 109%/3,124 lbs
Lexus RC-F Power = 99%/415 hp - Weight = 103%/3,179 lbs
Dodge Viper Power = 92%/394 hp - Weight = 107%/3,302 lbs
Hyundai Genisis Power = 101%/388 hp - Weight = 102%/3,036 lbs
This series will be utilizing GT Sports in game BoP for race 1. Following the results of Race 1 Ballast will be applied to the top 3 finishers in the following manner:

1st Place = 3% weight increase
2nd Place = 2% weight increase
3rd Place = 1% weight increase

Please note - the maximum amount of ballast a driver can accrue throughout the championship is 5% points. If a driver who has accrued ballast finishes outside of the top 5 in subsequent races 1% point will be removed from their total for the next event. These regulations are not intended to cripple faster drivers to the point that they are not competitive.

Only three cars per manufacturer will be made available for competition. Car selection will be on a first come, first serve basis at a pre determined date and time. Vehicle selections posted prior to that time will not be honored and participants will have to re-submit their choice.
  • Using the stock livery is prohibited.
  • Any livery that contains foul language, pornographic material, and/or political themes is not allowed. Violation of this rule will result in the driver getting kicked from the race lobby.
  • Use of chrome paint chips is not allowed.

  • Designers are free to use any lubricant, suspension, ignition sponsor logos they wish for their designs.
  • When designing your livery please be sure to select one of the default number boards in "Racing Items", upon doing so enter the number you will be using for this series then deselect the default/in game number board. This will allow your race number to be displayed above your car in replays. Feel free to contact me via PM with any questions on this. Thank you.

After requests from the community to reconsider the DR rule the Organizing Body has concluded that ALL DRIVER LEVELS are permitted to sign up and race in this series.

Also, a minimum of 10 entries would be ideal in order to facilitate the use of a two tier driver category system. The more drivers we have the better.

After requests from the community to reconsider the DR rule the Organizing Body has concluded that DR A drivers are able to sign up and race in this series.

Also, a minimum of 10 entries would be ideal in order to facilitate the use of a two tier driver category system. The more drivers we have the better.

I am a DR B SR S but have raced with you guys before, does this make me ineligible??

Some changes have been made to the series. The are minor but are intended to attract more drivers.

1. A maximum of 3 cars per manufacturer are now allowed. (previously it was only 2)

2. Series is open to all skill levels. (no more DR limit)

I have a few. Pick a number and I'll alter one for you to use.

EDIT: Let me know what sponsor you are using as well.

As of right now we need to recruit more sign ups. I want to hear from those of you that signed up. Are you okay with delaying the season a couple of weeks? The schedule would not change other than it getting pushed out a couple weeks.

I would like to submit an entry for GT4 championship.

Might I suggest sliding race time an hour, your current time hits during European Dinner...and is too early for West Coast US ( Really its because this old person does not get up that early). Ill post thread on all Ring Rat threads and my Punch List to get it into non IRS threads.
