Noted @bloodyboyblue , this being the Pre-Season round to work out format and other kinks, this is the feed back i wanted to make things more manageable and efficient.

To everyone thanks for coming to race tonight (I missed the first Mardi Gras parade of the season for this lol) and Congrats to @nicholas23 on the win.

That was possibly one of the most fun nights I've had sim racing! Fantastic racing from start to finish in every Heat, Semi-Final, the LCQ and the Final!

Since this was just pre-season, i would like to share my thoughts on the format.

  • I don't mind having qualifying, but I think the amount of time to set some laps should be shortened. Maybe cut the time in half, or for longer tracks, have it be long enough to get 2 solid laps in.
  • The heats, Semis, and the LCQ were perfect in length IMO. Maybe have the longer tracks on the schedule have less laps, but enough to were the races last the same amount of time. (About 5 & 1/2 to 6 & 1/2 minutes)
  • The final felt a little short. I'd add another couple of laps. The whole night builds up to it so maybe make it a little longer.

I can't wait for next weekend! The stream of the night is up on my Youtube channel, and i'll be uploading my Semi-Final as a separate video sometime later today.

No problem guys, Tex I have some base line Tarmac setups you can try for the NSX, that was one of the cars I was planning to run if i was able to put a team together, ill share them with ya this coming week. We have some time till Rd.1

Also, everything noted. This race served its purpose of getting feedback and having a test run with a format that has next been attempted. Be prepared for some minor tweaks to the format come Colorado Springs.

There are some really creative people here. I for one have almost no creative artistic side and usually pick out a nice retro livery to stick on my car. There should always be one retro and/or real world replica to bring this fake video game stuff to life :)

Edit: For example, hirnsauger69 drives a Castrol livery in my 86 Racing Series and it's beautiful. I run with the LMP1 car livery with some simple modifications to the hood as it's not a prototype.

Hey everyone, I've made some updates to the OP leading up to Round 1 at Colorado Springs and also have posted the results from the Pre-season Race. Below are the major things that have changed.

  • Changes have been made to the race format. Qualifying has been scrapped for the time being, seeding for the heat races will now be done with lap times from open practice from when the lobby open to the start of the heats races that will now be moved to begin at 21:00 EST.
  • Registration rules have been adjusted for Drivers registered that have put on a wait list. Drivers that register once we have 16 entries will be put on a wait list and will be eligible to enter a race weekend if one of the 16 previous entries can not race.
  • Drivers that miss two races consecutively without notification of not being able to attend will forfeit their entry and car allocation to the series.
  • Car Changes after the Pre-Season round are allowed if desired. Car changes must be submitted no later than Tuesday, March 5th 11:59pm. Once you race with a car for Round 1 you are locked with that car for the rest of the season.

This Friday's (March 8th) race will be Round 1 of 6 event to be held for Season 1 of IRS Yokohama RallyX Championship. This event will be on the dirt track of Colorado Spring Lake layout. We will not be doing a Joker Lap for this event, so this will be straight up racing.

I will also for this event have a live score sheet of the heats available on Google, this will also have the points updates once we get the season going. That will be available to view here. That being said, to save time before the lobby opens, I would like everyone to post confirming their attendance for Friday night by the morning of the event at the latest. Those that have not confirmed but then, their spot will be taken by the racer(s) on the wait list.
