I am at a stage in the game now where amature is finished, as is beginner and most of pro! the only races left are those that require cars such as the gt1 and other such fast race cars. I am finding this part reaqlly boring!

i FIND THAT THE SLOWER CARS ARE MUCH MORE FUN :/

I am actually thinking of starting again so I dont have to do those races. It's not that I cant win them cause I am blitzing most of them but they just dont do it for me.

Nope, it's not just you. I like to break it up and use a 63 hp car every now and then. It's fun to see what you can extract from the little creatures.

Against the A.I. it's much more fun to drive with the slower cars. They will follow you easier in a slow car and one mistake will put you back some places. With the fast cars, the distance between me and the others is much bigger.

When I play against my girlfriend she uses the Spoon Civic R and I use a unmodified Mini, I love driving the slower cars......

P.S. I always win

I was in harvey norman (a store here in aust) and a guy was lining up a couple of lap in some high powered race car in GTC. He didnt know what he was doing so he had a 2 player race with no1 driving the other car he had set up... In came me just before the start of the race and said "i'll race ya" (he had picked one of the slower cars for me.... some 80-100 hp thing. anyhow needless to say he couldnt get the braking right (just like my 11yo daughter) and thru some great cornering i thrashed him :D

but anyhow when i said slower cars in the begining I mean more like street cars :) race cars are just no fun for me i guess...

Definitely not just you. I had more fun in Beginner than I am in Amateur. Plus, I've been doing some OLR and I've enjoyed the less powerful cars much more.

The powerful cars need a very light touch to avoid blasting all over the place; but the underpowered cars take a certain rhythm or flow to move along quickly. I like 'em better.

I was unmotivated to do the Formula GT until I watched the Japanese GP on Speed Channel.

Maybe try watching a motorsport even with some of the cars you are using/racing against and that can charge some life into it.

I would reset though, try and experience all of motorsport racing.

Well, I'd vote against restarting. Guessing that your somewhere around 70-80% completed, start using those cars that you think might not have a chance. I've had good success and tight races running an RX-7 LM against the 787B, the R390 and the GT-one.

But I do here you, I'm fighting through the last PD cup right now, with only the F1 championship to do. instead of taking a monster to the PD cup, I decided to attempt it in the EVO VI GSR. Last night I suffered my first loss.

For some reason, the Vette Z06 is unstoppable at Seattle. even with a pit schedule of every other lap, I couldn't keep up with it. I lost by less than 2 seconds. Yet in the following race, I lapped it, without a problem.

But yes, Racing all the topnotch cars does get boring, and tedious. Especially when you know they get a boost in the later half of the series races. So you're stuck with bring in a severly overpowered car in the beginning to make an even match at the end.

But, don't give up, pick a car that will run an even race, and it will still be fun.

Good luck,

AO
