Stars always die in three's. It's a very odd thing, but it does seem to happen a lot.

This was an absolute shock. He was only 54, and he died of a heart ailment. John Ritter was a big star when I was growing up. I loved his show 3's Company. He was the son of country star Tex Ritter. I loved his physical style of comedy. You don't see that much anymore.

I wonder what they are going to do about his current tv show? Cancell it, or write him out. It was smash hit for ABC.

A very sad loss. He will be missed.

Yeah i read that over at msn today. I was like "what he died?" Use to watch 3's company as a kid.

I loved his show Threes's Company, He was a pretty cool guy, and still pretty young, he'll be missed.

The last time I saw him in anything (he is not in much in the UK) was when I was catching up on Ally McBeal. He appeared in a few episodes.

I am not sure of the title but I remember him in a series with Debra Farentino (I think that was her name). Not sure if he wasn't a policeman in that. Must have been ages ago. As I say, we don't get everything in the UK.

Man that sucks. ABC will have a tough time with that his show now. I thought it was really good. Unfortunately Tom M is right, two more are going to go. I'll miss him, he was pretty funny and a good actor.

They have decided to go on with the show by airing the 3-4 episodes they already have and then have his character die, mirroring real life. We'll see how this pans out...

I figure they had little choice. It was that or totally drop the show, which is hard to do on such short notice before the beginning of a season. Few shows can carry on without a comic lead like that.
