never though that the Fiat 500 looked so good in pink (not kidding). Great job in your pics, I'm looking forward to the next ones!

I first looked in here a few months ago, and thought nice pics, but didn't post.
You're action shots have improved and you've got a lot of great pics in here, some are pretty awesome.
A few of my favorites are still some of the earlier ones.
The last Golf pic, everyone seems to love that one.
Your first Ferrari pic. The vents from overhead.
and the black and white Supra. I don't know why, but it's great.

Keep up the good work. 👍

If you have not taken one out yet, you should take out a Honda Z Act 70' its amazingly twenty eight amazingly fast horses! (can you believe it has soooooo much horsepower?) i couldn't get it to go up the hill in my created Mt. Aso track... now that's funny! but it handles pretty well in my opinion. its a neat little car! if you dont have one and would like one i would happily send you mine its standard and i don't think i modded it?

Nice shots as always. I liked the NSX shots, even if you didn't get along well with that ride. I also liked the old Skyline photos - authentic. I, like you, found the Audi to be less than it should have been. I guess I was expecting it to drive more like the BMW M3 GTR race car thingamagiggy. But alas, it was not to be. :)

Thanks guys, been a while since I last posted here but I have still been gradually working my way through the "standard" models in my garage...

The Pug 307
GT5_1710_3071.jpg

Uninspiring

The 350Z - not all I hoped it would be
GT5_1710_350z.jpg

Pug 406
GT5_1710_4061.jpg

Actually had some fun in this
GT5_1710_4062.jpg

GT5_1710_4063.jpg

Fiat Barchetta = disappointing
GT5_1710_Barchetta1.jpg

Pick any one of a thousand MX5s for a better ride
GT5_1710_Barchetta2.jpg

Loved throwing this Beetle around
GT5_1710_Bug1.jpg

GT5_1710_Bug2.jpg

GT5_1710_Bug3.jpg

I was disappointed and surprised in equal measure with the Callaway
GT5_1710_Callaway1.jpg

GT5_1710_Callaway2.jpg

The mean looking Calsonic Skyline
GT5_1710_calsonic1.jpg

GT5_1710_calsonic2.jpg

Spat me off the track at every opportunity
GT5_1710_calsonic3.jpg

Ah... dB
GT5_1710_dB1.jpg

Great brick-like aerodynamics!
GT5_1710_dB2.jpg

But surprising fun to drive on a city track
GT5_1710_dB3.jpg

Was demonstrating the photo mode to a friend, my favourite premium RM here, my beloved Civic
GT5_1710_FavCiv1.jpg

The Mazda 2
GT5_1710_Maz21.jpg

Move along
GT5_1710_Maz22.jpg

Always fun to be had in a Mini
GT5_1710_Mini1.jpg

Come on PD, this should have been premium!
GT5_1710_Mini2.jpg

GT5_1710_Mini3.jpg

I don't usually get on well with Mitsubishi's
GT5_1710_Mit1.jpg

Managed okay with this one though
GT5_1710_Mit2.jpg

Ah, the old beast... the NSX
GT5_1710_NSx1.jpg

Dukes-of-Hazzard Stylee
GT5_1710_NSx2.jpg

Opel Touring Car
GT5_1710_OpelTC1.jpg

Not a bad drive
GT5_1710_OpelTC2.jpg

A rather bland Honda Prelude
GT5_1710_Prelude1.jpg

GT5_1710_Prelude2.jpg

This Mazda was a wild one to tame
GT5_1710_RMaz1.jpg

GT5_1710_RMaz2.jpg

...and finally
GT5_1710_ZondaRc1.jpg

I set my fastest time so far in this Zonda around Monza
GT5_1710_ZondaRc2.jpg

Some very nice shots there! You've somehow managed to make standard cars look spetacular! Very nice! :)

Great job - I always like following your narrative as well. The Civic RM pic is probably my fav, although they are all good. :)

Is the title nessesary?
Sorry, im just prejudiced. I guess im just tired of every time a girl appears on a video game or in a forum, everyone sucks up to them so bad
Example-Post Above
Its a pretty picture, but not "Very Awesome"
If I would have posted it no one would have gave a ****

Wow, calm the hell down.

I have never seen a girl post pictures of her garage and it's the one reason I came into this thread and I was really impressed with her photos.

Not because she is a girl, but because they are good. And I like the story she is telling us about them :D

Keep em coming 👍

Also, how did you get so close to the standards? It always blocks me when I try get up close

Thanks Nato, I think they deserve plenty of love - sure they are not visually as mind blowing as the premiums but there are some real gems among them :)

Gosh... it has been a while. I guess my interest in doing this comes in fits and starts. Still, I do really enjoy taking each of the standards out for a spin and finding some surprises among them...

Nissan 350Z Roadster
GT5_12_350Zr1.jpg

Quite a handful
GT5_12_350Zr2.jpg

Though nothing compared to this Skyline
GT5_12_80sSkyline1.jpg

Ah... the '80s, when cars when it was Hip to be Square
GT5_12_80sSkyline2.jpg

Have to admire a bit of '80s styling from time to time though
GT5_12_80sSkyline3.jpg

The Beamer 120d
GT5_12_Beam120d1.jpg

Slower movement than a constipated tortoise!
GT5_12_Beam120d2.jpg

This was a nice Beamer though
GT5_12_Beam330.jpg

In fact I added this 330i to my favourites
GT5_12_Beam330a.jpg

The VW Bora - AKA the Golf with a boot
GT5_12_Bora1.jpg

Utterly uninspired
GT5_12_Bora2.jpg

The Mazda Carol is a real sweetie
GT5_12_Carol1.jpg

Awwww....
GT5_12_Carol2.jpg

Fun but slow - as you would expect
GT5_12_Carol3.jpg

Oddly, for me at least, I really got on well with Tom's Chaser
GT5_12_Chaser1.jpg

GT5_12_Chaser2.jpg

GT5_12_Chaser3.jpg

Nicole? ... Papa?
GT5_12_Clio1.jpg

GT5_12_Clio2.jpg

Another Japanese box - The Nissan Cube
GT5_12_Cube1.jpg

I do love the asymmetric styling though - just don't tell anyone!
GT5_12_Cube2.jpg

The Honda CRX Del Sol was my favourite car in GT2
GT5_12_DelSol1.jpg

Hated the handling in this though, surely I must have tuned my old favourite a bit
GT5_12_DelSol2.jpg

Dear Lexus...
GT5_12_Lex4301.jpg

Please consider the Wombles theme tune as your company identity
GT5_12_Lex4302.jpg

Just reworded as... "Understeer, Oversteer, Wombling Free..."
GT5_12_Lex4303.jpg

Lotus Elise Sport
GT5_12_LotusSprt1.jpg

No surprises but a few thrills
GT5_12_LotusSprt2.jpg

Yet another Mitsubishi GTO
GT5_12_Mgto1.jpg

How many ARE there in this game anyhow?
GT5_12_Mgto2.jpg

The MR2 Spider
GT5_12_MR2Sp1.jpg

Not a winning formula - please learn from MG or Mazda in future
GT5_12_MR2Sp2.jpg

This ancient Nissan was good fun
GT5_12_OldSkyline1.jpg

Love the rear light styling - Reminds me of the old Ford Cortina
GT5_12_OldSkyline2.jpg

GT5_12_OldSkyline3.jpg

Time for a RAM raid
GT5_12_Ram1.jpg

Predictable lolloping understeer
GT5_12_Ram2.jpg

Quite a beast though!
GT5_12_Ram3.jpg

Another RX-7
GT5_12_RX71.jpg

It was a quick one though, and slipperier than a greased pig
GT5_12_RX72.jpg

One of several Corvettes in my collection
GT5_12_Vette1.jpg

Actually quite fun to drive when feeling slightly suicidal
GT5_12_Vette2.jpg

Last, but not least, the drab and lifeless styling of the Audi A2
GT5_12_A21.jpg

Which has actually been added to my favourites list!
GT5_12_A22.jpg

Not fast but super predictable crisp handling - I cleaned out the racing line and nailed every single apex, figured it would be a great car for getting to know new tracks :)
GT5_12_A23.jpg

Hope you enjoyed the update folks and wishing you all a happy Holiday Season :)

Some nice looking standards
Didn't know the A2 was in the game actually (Guess it doesn't make any difference :P)
Overall nice set, some of them look like premiums E.X ( the 330i and the B&W Chaser)

Wow... almost 1/3 way through my 840 or so standard models. Still testing as they come, on the tyres they come with and without tuning (not even an oil change). Only now - enjoying them in 1080p on my new TV :)

Honda Civic Type R - still one of my favourites
GT5_12a_CivicRl1.jpg

The saloon is not quite as punchy as the hatchback but still a fun responsive drive
GT5_12a_CivicRl2.jpg

The hatch is cuter too
GT5_12a_CivWR1.jpg

GT5_12a_CivWR2.jpg

The Denso Sard Supra was pleasantly surprising
GT5_12a_Denso1.jpg

Not the fastest kid on the block but super planted on corners
GT5_12a_Denso2.jpg

Yet another Miata
GT5_12a_MiataSp1.jpg

The 1600 version is really quite sluggish
GT5_12a_MiataSp2.jpg

Another Elise - with the ever wayward rear end
GT5_12a_EliseU1.jpg

Catching some air before eating some barrier
GT5_12a_EliseU2.jpg

The TVR T350 was great fun to drive!
GT5_12a_G3501.jpg

Obligatory Top Gear style shot
GT5_12a_G3502.jpg

Most fun I have had in a TVR yet
GT5_12a_G3503.jpg

Only one word can describe the VX220 Turbo
GT5_12a_VVVX2201.jpg

Evil
GT5_12a_VVVX2202.jpg

Unlike the Today which was cute
GT5_12a_TOday1.jpg

and fun to drive
GT5_12a_TOday2.jpg

I had high hopes for the Lister
GT5_12a_Lister1.jpg

Disappointingly it tore me to shreds
GT5_12a_Lister2.jpg

This Renault Lutecia was such fun
GT5_12a_Lutecia1.jpg

Once I had worked out that it was rear wheel drive
GT5_12a_Lutecia2.jpg

Even getting it wrong was fun
GT5_12a_Lutecia3.jpg

Which is more than I can say for the Mitsubishi 3000
GT5_12a_M3000GT1.jpg

I really could not get to grips with it
GT5_12a_M3000GT2.jpg

Thought I would take the Mini out for a spin around Rome
GT5_12a_Min11.jpg

The Mini One felt seriously underpowered and surprisingly heavy on cornering
GT5_12a_Min12.jpg

The old Daihatsu Move was as light as a feather though
GT5_12a_OlMove1.jpg

More understeer than expected but still great fun
GT5_12a_OlMove2.jpg

I enjoyed this S2000 with a rear wing on - not sure how that got there
GT5_12a_S2000MtP1.jpg

GT5_12a_S2000MtP2.jpg

The Audi S3 was uninspiring
GT5_12a_S31.jpg

GT5_12a_S32.jpg

At the other end of the spectrum this Speed 6 was lethal!
GT5_12a_Spd61.jpg

...and ugly
GT5_12a_Spd62.jpg

I really expected the Spoon Civic to be great fun
GT5_12a_SpoonCiv1.jpg

It had pace but will need some tuning to overcome the serious understeer
GT5_12a_SpoonCiv2.jpg

Finally... can you tell what it is yet?
GT5_12a_LexGT11.jpg

Oh yes... the Lexus 200 GT1
GT5_12a_LexGT12.jpg

What a pleasant surprise it was - handled like it was on rails
GT5_12a_LexGT13.jpg

Added as one of my new favourites
GT5_12a_LexGT14.jpg

Until next time... hope you all have a great New Year! :)

Expect more pics to come in 2012 :D

I'd like to see more pics in 2012. ;) This is a great update. The Lexus, T350C, Honda Today, and Renault sets are all nicely balanced. Not too much going on but enough to keep us all entertained. Well done. 👍

These are some great close ups. I especially like the first Elise and the last IS200 shots. 👍

Thanks for the comments folks - big update of the Standard Car testing coming right up (with a few shots of some Premium models too) :)

First up - The Mitsubishi 3000GT Something or other
GT5_0212_3000gt1.jpg

Ate me for breakfast and spat me out again!
GT5_0212_3000gt2.jpg

GT5_0212_3000gt3.jpg

One of many standard 350Z's
GT5_0212_350z1.jpg

We should rename this Acura
GT5_0212_Acura1.jpg

and call it 'Dull as Dishwater'
GT5_0212_Acura2.jpg

One of those old Nissan things, oh you know
GT5_0212_AnotherGreenNissan1.jpg

Really soft suspension though
GT5_0212_AnotherGreenNissan2.jpg

You may think that the Toyota Aristo looks like a harmless family sedan
GT5_0212_Aristo1.jpg

Understeer, oversteer and even losing it in a straight line!
GT5_0212_Aristo2.jpg

This thing is a killer
GT5_0212_Aristo3.jpg

I love the Autobacs Garaiya but this NSX... well
GT5_0212_AutobacsNSX1.jpg

We are no longer on speaking terms
GT5_0212_AutobacsNSX2.jpg

Oddly enough, I absolutely loved the Renault Avantime
GT5_0212_Avantime1.jpg

GT5_0212_Avantime2.jpg

GT5_0212_Avantime3.jpg

Toyota Celica - gotta love them
GT5_0212_BlkCelica1.jpg

Just one of several thousand Standard MX-5's
GT5_0212_BurgMX51.jpg

GT5_0212_BurgMX52.jpg

Always playful fun, even when getting it wrong
GT5_0212_BurgMX53.jpg

I was disappointed with this old Celica though, I hoped it would handle better than it did
GT5_0212_CelicaGT1.jpg

GT5_0212_CelicaGT2.jpg

Familia
GT5_0212_Familia1.jpg

or Familiar - seeing as I have driven a hundred cars just like it
GT5_0212_Familia2.jpg

Ah... Lexus IS200
GT5_0212_IS2001.jpg

For some odd reason I was completely expecting it to be FF instead of FR - hence the slight mess I got into
GT5_0212_IS2002.jpg

Presenting - The Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car
GT5_0212_Mitsubishi1.jpg

Added to my favourites list
GT5_0212_Mitsubishi2.jpg

Powerful, planted, rumbling and... it spits fire!
GT5_0212_Mitsubishi3.jpg

Of all the MR cars the MR2 is one that I get along nicely with
GT5_0212_MR21.jpg

Though the 1600 version is seriously underpowered
GT5_0212_MR22.jpg

GT5_0212_MR23.jpg

I found another of those old green Nissan things - only this time I was able to drift it :)
GT5_0212_NissDrft1.jpg

Yet another Skyline
GT5_0212_NissGTR1.jpg

Can you tell what it is yet?
GT5_0212_PinkBus3.jpg

How about now?
GT5_0212_PinkBus2.jpg

You got it... it's my pink bus :)
GT5_0212_PinkBus1.jpg

Love this shot - shame about the converging sky texture
GT5_0212_PinkBus4.jpg

RUF
GT5_0212_PinkRuf1.jpg

Rough
GT5_0212_PinkRuf2.jpg

This Pontiac GTO was fun to run around in
GT5_0212_Pontiac1.jpg

GT5_0212_Pontiac2.jpg

GT5_0212_Pontiac3.jpg

Another RX8
GT5_0212_RX81.jpg

GT5_0212_RX82.jpg

and another S2000
GT5_0212_S2000g1.jpg

Seriously PD - how many do we need?
GT5_0212_S2000g2.jpg

Ah... just taking this for a spin
GT5_0212_SarthePug1.jpg

How I kept it on the track I really don't know
GT5_0212_SarthePug2.jpg

Luck rather than judgement I feel - old style grainy shot here
GT5_0212_SarthePug3.jpg

Mercedes SL600
GT5_0212_SL600.jpg

Nothing special
GT5_0212_SL600a.jpg

GT5_0212_SL600b.jpg

Unlike this Nissan
GT5_0212_Stagea1.jpg

Which is the beefier of the two Stagea's in the game
GT5_0212_Stagea2.jpg

and great for a 4 wheel drift!
GT5_0212_Stagea3.jpg

Seriously loved the handling and power on this car
GT5_0212_Stagea4.jpg

Finally - one of the tuned cars in my garage (courtesy of RKM Motorsports)
GT5_0212_TVolvo4.jpg

My 'Green Hell' Volvo
GT5_0212_TVolvo1.jpg

GT5_0212_TVolvo2.jpg

GT5_0212_TVolvo3.jpg

GT5_0212_TVolvo5.jpg

Hope you enjoyed them - I absolutely love taking all of the standards out for a spin around the tracks, what is the point of having over 800 cars if you don't drive them. Though I should really spend some time driving the lovely DLC cars I have, they are gathering dust already!

the Pontiac GTO and Volvo are my personal favourites here, a lot of good photos though. 👍

"seriously PD how many do we need" lol completely agree.
