That Focus pic is epic.
The sppon is a beauty too.👍
Keep up the great work.
(you have inspired me to talk about my cars a bit more:))

Have you ever thought of entering some of the GTP Photomode Competitions? You'll make the polls by the looks of your photos.

Thanks guys - I haven't considered myself anywhere near good enough to enter the photomode competitions yet. :nervous:

Here is the next batch of testing - I might have been kind to these cars and given them an oil change before hitting the track.

I would have started this next set with the Lancia Stratos that I forgot to upload last time but, well, it seems I can misplace things even on the computer  I have another Stratos in my Used Car Garage somewhere so you will see me spinning out of every corner soon enough.

Starting with the Scion xA
GT5_2002_ScionxA11of1.jpg

I have renamed it the new Rolls Canardly
GT5_2002_ScionxA21of1.jpg

It rolls down hills but can 'ardly get up them

Presenting the Chrysler PT Cruiser
GT5_2002_Cruiser11of1.jpg

Soft suspension, no power...
GT5_2002_Cruiser21of1.jpg

and butt ugly! What where Chrysler thinking?

One of my Skyline GT-R tunes on a photoshoot

I happened to find the kitty!
GT5_2002_GTCat11of1.jpg

I also tried to take the car to the Pit Stop photomode location without realising that you couldn't do that - so just took this shot while I was there

On the road again, in the MR2
GT5_2002_MR211of1.jpg

I loved these cars in GT2 and GT3
GT5_2002_MR221of1.jpg

I haven't found one in GT5 yet that doesn't want to whip the tail out all of the time
GT5_2002_MR231of1.jpg

To Infiniti and beyond!
GT5_2002_Infiniti11of1.jpg

I was really surprised by the G35
GT5_2002_Infiniti21of1.jpg

It was a little tail happy but predictably so and therefore much fun to drive
GT5_2002_Infiniti31of1.jpg

I had high hopes for the Mirage, some of the other cute, old Japanese small cars have given me so much enjoyment on tight tracks
GT5_2002_Mirage11of1.jpg

Not this one - horrific understeer
GT5_2002_Mirage21of1.jpg

I thought this Prelude would be quite tame
GT5_2002_Prelude11of1.jpg

How wrong I was! Stupid oversteer and a really wild rear end
GT5_2002_Prelude21of1.jpg

I shall hide it in the tunnel and it will never see the light of day again!
GT5_2002_Prelude31of1.jpg

Oh-la-la!
GT5_2002_Ohlala11of1.jpg

The Brera Oh-la-la to be precise - a tune from RKM Motorsports
GT5_2002_Ohlala21of1.jpg

This was outstanding to drive
GT5_2002_Ohlala31of1.jpg

I recorded my fastest yet clean time on Nurburgring

You would think that all S2000's are alike
GT5_2002_S200011of1.jpg

This one had grip in abundance
GT5_2002_S200021of1.jpg

Yet this one, I tested just a day later
GT5_2002_S2000another11of1.jpg

Was slipperier than a greased weasel
GT5_2002_S2000another21of1.jpg

I had high hopes for the Audi S4, so much so I took it on the epic 24hr Nurburgring course
GT5_2002_S411of1.jpg

For a manufacturer that likes to hang all the weight forward of the front wheels it handled surprisingly well
GT5_2002_S421of1.jpg

Nimble and perky but with a throaty roar - really enjoyed this one
GT5_2002_S431of1.jpg

Silverado
GT5_2002_Silverado11of1.jpg

I would have called it the 'Desperado' but I guess it would not sell so well
GT5_2002_Silverado21of1.jpg

Wild bucking rear end but a fun drive never-the-less
GT5_2002_Silverado31of1.jpg

The Opel Ugly - as I call it. They usually kill me so I thought I would throw on some bling rims and full downforce with a rear wing
GT5_2002_Ugly11of1.jpg

Oh it still tried to kill me
GT5_2002_Ugly21of1.jpg

But was much more pleasurable in the process - it is still as ugly as sin though
GT5_2002_Ugly31of1.jpg

Almost there - just this Toyota Yaris and it's bigger brother to go
GT5_2002_Yaris11of1.jpg

Seriously good fun to throw this one around
GT5_2002_Yaris21of1.jpg

However it was distinctly underpowered
GT5_2002_Yaris31of1.jpg

Enter the Yaris RS Turbo
GT5_2002_YarisTurb11of1.jpg

Much better - 14 seconds per lap more power
GT5_2002_YarisTurb21of1.jpg

Actually a little overpowered for the amount of grip those tyres can provide, always on the edge... but great fun!
GT5_2002_YarisTurb31of1.jpg

I hope you enjoyed this set and thank you for taking the time to peek through my post :)

Very cool pictures , I like the brera and the Rolls Canardly , the chrislery and the kitty cat :D
But as always I loved the comments

"I shall hide it in the tunnel and it will never see the light of day again!"

Lol, I like the pic that went with that comment.

Nice update. 👍

Ah you discovered the Scion XB...I took one on as a 'project' and tried to see how many races it could win through the ranks. Still languishing in my garage in a lurid shade of yellow.

I love the 1978 Mirage. Stock, it's horrific and steers like a shopping trolley full of logs but it can be made into a sweet handler with a bit of work.

As usual a great selection of Standards from you.

The standard car testing continues (though quite slowly as I have a badly injured ankle and refuse to drive using the DS3 controller). Instead of posting the latest batch, which is quite small at present, I thought I would share some shots from a premium model photoshoot ;)

Presenting the Honda CR-Z
GT5_0803_CRZw1.jpg

Quite a 'looker' in my opinion
GT5_0803_CRZw2.jpg

It even has a nice bottom!
GT5_0803_CRZw3.jpg

I would happily have one of these IRL if I could afford it
GT5_0803_CRZw4.jpg

Took the stock one for a trip around Nurburgring and loved the handling
GT5_0803_CRZw5.jpg

This is my 'tuned' version though - I am tempted to paint it orange like the Mugen CR-Z

Great job! Love the reflections entry and your first two CRZ shots are amazing. The depth of field and tone are fantastic.

Amazing CRZ update girl:drool:. Your getting better and better;). Oh, and i also love the Spoon S2000:D.

If you remove the watermark, would pass easily for real images, very good job 👍

Btw sorry about your ankle, I hope you get better soon 👍

Thanks for the feedback everyone :)

Oh my ankle has been a problem since I injured it in November, have been housebound and near immobile with pain. Going to see consultant tomorrow for results from MRI scan.

I miss driving so much that a couple times a week I break out the old plastic wheel and pedals. I can manage about half an hour on the PS3 on those before I am in too much pain - hence the photoshoot and not another string of standard car tests.

Just to update you all on why I have not updated this thread for a while...

I mentioned before about my ankle injury back in November last year, and that I had been more-or-less housebound since then. I had surgery on 12th April to reconstruct my ankle and am still not fully mobile nor pain free.

It was such a pain only being able to use the DS3 for the Academy as I know I could have got some really good times with the wheel/pedals if I could have physically used them. At least I managed to gold each event if nothing else.

Hoping that things will start to be better in the coming months as I really miss tearing around the virtual tracks.

Those of a 'squeamish' disposition please turn away now...
