Whats new?
- Euro Corners/Taillights
- Alignment done
- Battery killed itself, so onto a replacement battery!
- Needs new tires, rear tires are heavily cracked.
- Other then that, she's doing well!
- 120,300 miles on the ODO.

Nice photos! Maybe I'm a little old-school but I think the amber looked better - maybe it's something to do with beauty in function but hey ho that's just me. I did have the option of clear lenses on my old 240 but thought it looked a little wrong on something so old.

Still considering changing the wheels? I think they look fantastic in those photos!

I think it depends on the color as-well! Amber looks better on silver for example.

1) Neutral Safety Switch Issues, which has been an issue in the past. Also sometimes goes into limp mode.

2) Also dealing with DSC turning itself off for no reason which has been a ongoing problem coming and going. My Dad's BOSCH KTS340 can't view why, so i opt'd to get the BMW's INPA Software to see the Steering Position Sensor, or Yaw Rate Sensor and see if i can find why it's causing the DSC to just go off for no reason. (also for the fact i want to change some coding)

3) Right Front Caliper is kinda sticking sometimes, but it comes and goes, will have to rebuild it.

4) Slight exhaust leak.

That's on the list of repairs.

Parts. Parts. Parts!

Bought a second hand K&N Air Intake ($370 Brand New), Got it for $150 only has 3000 miles on the kit.

Next i bought some new headlight lenses, they were quite worn out and foggy, original from 2000!



Lastly; I bought a RainX Restore Headlight Kit, to see if i can bring some life back to the rear (inner) tail lights, before i spend a bit for new ones. Also bought a used Yaw Rate Sensor!

I will post update pictures when everything is installed! :D
 
Installed! Makes the engine bay look more clean for sure! Although i need to clean my engine bay, its quite gross. I must admit the intake noises are great.

Clean the inner rear tail lights with RainX Headlight Restoration Kit, i will most likely do another pass on the left one, since it needs a bit more, and i kinda did a bad job with it, but the right one for sure turned out great!

Progress is being made, Wagon is for sure coming back together!
 
Very nice, was that partition already there for the airbox or did that come with the cone induction kit? Has it made any difference to power or sound?

It came with the kit, and sound wise there is more intake sounds, and its actually glorious, and i feel a bit more responsiveness in the low end, but its such a little thing.

News:
- Bought a Double Din Radio (EONON GA9150B)(HVAC Relocation Kit). It's time to replace the factory radio!
- Changed out the headlight covers. Cleaned up the front end, and compliments the Clear Turn Signals much better!
- Replacing the Active Yaw Sensor Eventually, just need to take the seat out of the driver side.

- After digging around the E46 Forums, and Bimmerworld; i will be removing the roof rack (DIY), besides one of them is quite damaged and bent inward. Also, it's crazy how expensive the trim pieces for roof rack removal is. The total is up to $800+ :eek:, for left and right trim piece! 10 years ago they were $60 for each side!
 
You could buy my entire car for that. (the crappy first one, not the Volvo :D )
So maybe try find a scrap E46?

I'll DIY it! I found on eBay this, (For 1999-2005 BMW E46 3 SERIES BLACK ROOF TOP TRIM MOLDING KIT)
Depending if there is a gasket from the adapter for the roof railing, ill use the gasket and rescrew in the screws without the adapter, or plug up the hole a different way if there isn't a gasket, and afterward ill apply trim kit on the original trim, and it wont look as crappy as having electrical tape covering up the hole.

You at least went price shopping between a bunch of those dealer parts websites, right?

I went on every site possible to find the euro trim, but really the euro trim is for the Sedan/Coupe Roof Rack but over 10 years prices went up atleast 500% in the 10 years. All US Models were sold with Roof Rack i believe in EU there was an option for having no roof rack, however it was rare, the trim piece alone is very rare, and since people dont get rid of there wagons, finding a used trim piece is very challenging and the prices are up to $500 atleast for used, and finding used is like nearly impossible, its like a needle in a haystack, and since they don't make the trim anymore, and since im not putting a roof rack on, ill use my DIY and it will look great! :D Some people hacked up sedan trim and touring trim but i aint that life, :P I believe my solution will be much better!
 
News! I finally changed the yaw rate sensor that was acting up, found a used one for $30, brand new they are like $400! Went on a test drive and DSC it was fine, but this will be over time to see if this issue is resolved! You can def tell on the bracket there was some sort of water that got to it. There was a point where the window gasket had a failure and it rained a couple times and water got into the floor well, wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason for the yaw rate sensor to go a-wire.

I scored a Sport Steering Wheel for $130 with the airbag! Finally get rid of the hideous non-sport wheel.

Here's how the Sport Wheel Turned out! One thing i do like about this wheel is there is led's where the buttons are so at night i can see the buttons, the non-sport wheel did not have led's and it was kinda annoying seeing what button is what.

I finally fixed my airbag light after changing the steering wheel. When i bought the wheel one of the tabs was missing from the second stage connector. I didn't think it was a "big deal", after i installed the sport wheel. Until I connected the battery back up, and got a "Airbag driver stage 2 - plausibility error" I honestly scratched my head, and there wasn't much information on the forums, i cleaned the contacts as-well, that didn't fix the issue.
I took the airbag out again, and out of fun i took the driver stage 1 tab from the connector and put it to driver stage 2. I got a "driver stage 1 - plausibility error". Well Gosh Darn! That's what the issue was! I messaged the fella i bought the wheel from, and he had a couple spare sport wheels, and he priority shipped the clip, i installed the clip, opened up BMW Scanner 1.4, and looked into the airbags, and "Airbag driver stage 2 - plausibility error" went from Fault Currently Present to Fault Currently Not Present. I cleared the code, and the airbag light went away!

My next step is go to a BMW Dealer and go for that airbag recall!

Finally got to give her a nice bath! Finally, all nice and clean!
I am currently contemplating if i should replace the original antenna with a shark fin antenna.

Always liked these, my dad had a '99 sedan and it was impressive on how nice it handled, it had the same style of rims as yours (which i might add that they look great on E46es) and the same color as well.
And good catch on removing the roof rails, it has a really slick look overall! :cheers:

Thank you! I adore the slick look of it without the rails, makes it a bit more sporty actually!

On other news! The Antenna on the rear of the roof is not for the radio, but essentially an analog cell phone network antenna, and my touring was prewired for the phone, but never was installed, and so its currently useless and obsolete. I may just delete it, considering the rubber seals are pretty bad, or put a shark fin or a SiriusXM Antenna. Not sure though. After looking at shark fins on Tourings it looks rather tacky. :indiff:
