another one last night,was fantastic weather yesterday.made my way up to knockhill and my mate with the leon was already there.some great cars there too,gembella 997 bi turbo,seat leon touring car,forester sti,450bhp skyline running full racing slicks and the usually porsches,elises,evos etc.at the start of the night i decided to go to just before the hairpin to take some picture,got some new filters and had been waiting to try them out,guy in the M3 kept drifting it out of the hairpin showing off until he spun it in the grass and couldnt get out 
which brung out the red flag,so decided to walk round to the pitlane and get a few laps in the leon,running great as ever,spent about a lap or so behind the leon touring car which didnt really seem all that fast but after a few laps and due to the heat the turbo started suffering from heat stroke so had to bring it in for it to cool down.didnt go out in any other cars and the time seemed to fly by quickly.my mate with the leon went back out and after about 5 mins the red flag came out and my mate in the leon was one of the last in the pitlane so walked up to the car from behind and asked if he knew why the red flag was out and he said that a lotus hit him while he was sideways coming out of the chicane then i noticed the damage,it didnt look too bad but i still felt gutted about it.looked just like it was panel damage and a plug had came out the rear of the engine which was easy enough to fix.what had happened was he had got sideways out of the chicane and a lotus behind him decided to try to overtake him rather than brake.had a chat then with the lotus owner,turns out it wasnt his car,it belonged to a friend who also gave him a loan of his f430 too and just before the trackday he jokingly text his mate saying he was taking the f430.spoke to the guy running the trackday who owns a vag tuning company and he said that the car would be rough in the low rav range cause the plug had came out so not to keep the revs too low on the way back,so started heading home and discovered it wasnt just panel damage,the steering had broke on the car and the car kept losing boost over 3000rpm and cutting the power to the engine which made the dreaded impreza sound,guess is that ether the intercooler or an intercooler pipe got broke as it took the hit where the intercooler is,felt like i was gonna be sick every time the engine cut out or struggle,kept thinking something was gonna break
