Assetto Corsa Competizione, the new official game of the Blancpain GT series, an official grand touring racing series, named after world-renowned Swiss watch manufacture Blancpain and organized by SRO Motorsports Group, will be speeding onto Steam Early Access this summer.

Featuring an extraordinary level of simulation quality that allows players to experience the unique atmosphere of this GT3 Series, players can compete against official drivers, teams, cars and circuits with the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Taking full advantage of Unreal Engine 4, Assetto Corsa Competizione will ensure the highest quality rendering with photorealistic weather conditions and graphics to reach a new standard in driving realism and immersion racing. Players will experience highspeed torque as they get behind the wheel of luxurious speedsters including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens and many other prestigious GT cars reproduced with an outstanding level of detail. Motion capture technology is used to create the animations of mechanics and drivers in an even more realistic fashion and guarantee a high level of player engagement during races, pit stops and driver changes.

In the final version of the game, players can expect advanced multiplayer functionality with Assetto Corsa Competizione, including a ranking system which will evaluate individual performance and driving behavior to reward the most virtuous drivers and promote fair play in online competitions.

Now if the game is the official Blancpain GT series should this mean that Kunos has the exclusive rights similar to Sector 3 Studios rights to DTM?
That would create problems to other developers.
 
Now i'd like some more screenshots and a gameplay trailer that is not super dark and only 59 sec :)
But i like what i see so far
 
It will only be a title for me if it will expand on the existing car and track roster, and preferably without too much SRO pollution to interfere with the neutrality I've enjoyed in AC. However, only Blancpain The Game? Bye for now then.

Its a completely different game. Different engines. Only one GT Series as it seems.
I guess its right, this is sort of a Prologue to the next Assetto Corsa. Good start.

Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione may be to each other like Gran Turismo 6 and Gran Turismo Sport.
 
Is it the first racing game featuring UE4? The first trailer looks nice and i really like the idea behind this. GT racing is big and doing a proper game around it with all accuracy and the superb AC physics and sounds - great. However, Kunos is such a small studio, expect this to be AC2 for quite a while... which is fine by me.

Depends. They grew since the Early Access of AC1 significantly. Depending how well ACC (this is the new short form people xD) will do, their team might grow more.

Great news that, but sadly im not interested in this blancplain gt series, i dont like gt3 crap.
And NO nordschleife, makes it completey uninteristing :(
 
Great news! Is it already confirmed that (PC) VR is supported? Could not find an answer on the official webpage?
I guess VR support is a no brainer. Right?

Yet. Remember that it's hitting Early Access first — a version 1.0 release isn't pencilled in yet.

Xbox only recently started doing its own version of Early Access with PUBG, and I don't think PlayStation has a dedicated approach yet (it's just early beta access if a company decides to do it).

I kinda feel the same but if this wasn't Assetto I would definitely be interested in this. So I will for sure get it.

Pretty sure that someone was apparent Mr. I. Bell.

This deal shouldn't be a surprise really considering Marco mentioned they considered the F1 licence. One of the reasons they kicked that idea to the curb was that the licence requires a yearly title release. So that's surely good news for players who want a proper AC sequel as it means we could get one next year as we likely won't be getting another Blancpain title.
