M3 or M5?

Which do you like best in GT4?

Voted M5 because I prefer its adjustability in GT4 to the M3. But if the vote had included the M3 CSL, I'd have voted for that instead.

In real life I try not to go near a current M5 in case ugliness is contagious.
 
M3. I just love the E46 look (no joking, first Beemer that I fell love in).
M5... Curse you Bangle, curse you! It's the first time that I prefer a regular car (5 series) over it's sporty version. The M5 looks so... plastic to me.
M3 gets my vote, oh yeah :D
 
Gotta Go with the M3. The M5 is definantly the faster car, and I do enjoy beating Dodge Vipers on the Burg Ring, but I think that the M3 is just way sexier, and in the end, at least in real life, it's all about what the girls think, cause either way one of those two BMW's will kick the **** out of most the cars on the road.

Gotta Go with the M3. Slow your roll there my friend, the M5 can barely drive like the M3, so it's not kicking the crap out of much, save for other really big saloons. M3 will wipe the floor with the M5, and the M5 isn't very popular in the US, infact they recently added the 5 Series, which looks exactly like the M5, but with way less horsepower, it's not a pretty car. M3 is all about sexyness, style and hidden potential, not too big not too little. It just fits, it's hands down the sexiest BMW PERIOD!

M3 will wipe the floor with the M5, and the M5 isn't very popular in the US, infact they recently added the 5 Series, which looks exactly like the M5, but with way less horsepower, it's not a pretty car. M3 is all about sexyness, style and hidden potential, not too big not too little. It just fits, it's hands down the sexiest BMW PERIOD!

Hang on, there. The M5 is hardly a poor handler, and would dust the M3 on a straight-line highway, all the way up to 205mph if its top speed limiter were taken off. The M5 is also a much better sleeper.

The two cars were built for two different reasons, one for more cornering fun than straight-line fun, and the other vice-versa.

Besides, it's unfair to compare the E60 M5 to the E46 M3. We'll just have to wait for the E90 M3... :)

Well the M5 better dust the M3 in a straight line, considering it's has close to 200 more horsepower. I live in NY and where I drive the M5 would end up in many accidents because eventhough it has lots of power, you can't expect it to dip and dive in and out of traffic, it can be done, because I do it using Expedition, but it's a little unnerving. Small cars with ample power make for very agile and nimble movers. Straight line speeds are pretty useless, especially if you can't utilize it while cornering, M3's are race bred cars, so they are built very road worthy, and they are tested on the Nürburgring, 8,000km worth of testing. I think of the M5 as the M3's bigger, more powerful brother, but as a car built for driving in comfort, manuverability and quality M3 all the way. But the M5 wins for luxury and gas guzzling, I like the engine sounds and it's pretty fast, but the DB9 is a much better looking car and reaches the same speeds as the M5.

Hey when I posted my first post, I was basing performance solely on the fun I have in GT4 not real life or anything. And in the game the M5 is way faster than the M3, I have never actually driven the M5 so in real life I have no clue how they handle comparatively, but I said I prefer the M3 because it's sexier.
 
M3 for me. I have read in most reviews that the M5 has too much understeer, and the Seven-Speed SMG is too rough, but but who cares about that?. The M3 also looks awsome, sounds awsome and is a great drift car. Just my opinion:).
 
For my money, I'll choose the M3 - nicer lines to my eyes, seems to drive very well.

I've never driven a M5 in real life, but I have driven a M3 - and it was a blast.

So, I voted for the M3.
