They're not interested in carrying on the essence of the F1 anymore. The Speedtail had the central driving position but ultimately Mclaren is beholden to profit these days like Ferrari and Porsche.Fabric seats. 👍

It's like they want someone to foam at the mouth with all of that erratic nonsense going on. I'm not interested in your film school project, just show me the damn car.

Highly disagree. While downforce cars may not have elegant simplicity, they can be the definition of beautiful with all their curves and flows dictated by fluid dynamics. They couldn't possibly be more natural, that is if the engineers actually care about beauty. A fully engineered road car or race car should be both effective and beautiful. The current crop of Aston Martin hypercars are evidence off this. It's also evident throughout F1's and WEC's history, where some eras of cars were genuinely pretty, and evolved to monstrosities over time. In the near future, the Valkerie LMH vs Ferrari LMH car will be a perfect example of aero beauty vs aero brute force.Aero cars have no beauty.
My only concern about the Porsche is that it ends up with the face like the 963 or the Vision GT. I'm not a fan of those headlights at all. Now if they go the 919 Street and Mission X route, now we're talking. That also plays more into the 963's overall shape, minus the hideous face.I'm not certain if it will go down as one of the greats or not, but I'm very excited by what we've seen so far. Ferrari & (hopefully, as they've been mum about any such projects lately) Porsche better bring their A-game.
