Is this the first time two brothers have ever recieved the top positions in an F1 race?

Murry Walker was going on about it halfway through the race i think.
I think he said there were about 6 or 7 more successfull brothers. Except probably not as succesfull as the Schumachers.

That was a real good race except for the fact that Barrichello and Montoya DNF'ed. :(

Brothers in F1

Gary Brabham & David Brabham
Ernesto Brambilla & Vittorio Brambilla
Jose Dolhem & Didier Pironi (half brothers)
Teo Fabi & Corrado Fabi
Wilson Fittipaldi & Emerson Fittipaldi
Pedro Rodriguez & Ricardo Rodriguez
Ian Scheckter & Jody Scheckter
Michael Schumacher & Ralf Schumacher
Jimmy Stewart & Jackie Stewart
Gilles Villeneuve & Jacques Villeneuve Sr
Manfred Winkelhock & Jo Winkelhock
Peter Whitehead & Graham Whitehead

I got this list from the May 2001 issue of F1 Magazine.

Well there were quite a few.

So I guess it was Jacque Villenveuve's brother who the circuit was named after?  Whatever happened to him?

The circuit was named after his father who died in a crash while driving for Ferrari. I am not sure whether it was a test crash or race crash. I think it was a race death. Gille died in 1982.

Ohh, well that's great that they named the circuit after him.  Poor Jacques!  He must have not been very old at the time.  :shakehead:
