Mid-Field Raceway Lap Times For 716 Cars!

Tested:

1:21.773 - 490 - Nissan C-West Razo Silvia '01
1:23.911 - 458 - Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi Version VI '99
1:24.221 - 455 - Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi Version V '98
1:28.575 - 443 - Ford Mustang V8 GT Coupe Premium '07
1:28.612 - 430 - Toyota Soarer 2.5GT-T '97

That Mustang is terrible. Avoid at all costs. It's got a V8 and yet it's slower than many 4 and 6-cylinder cars...

The standard '05 Mustang is faster but still slow for its PP value.

Any car with a large amount of torque and a flat curve is completely hampered by PD's performance point system. Based on lap times, the '07 Mustang should be in the 410-420pp range.

Tested:

1:21.731 - 485 - BMW Z8 '01
1:23.091 - 497 - Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG '02
1:24.765 - 459 - Holden Monaro CV8 '04
1:25.772 - 462 - Holden Commodore SS '04
1:26.677 - 433 - Audi TT Coupe 3.2 Quattro '07
1:28.498 - 421 - Audi TT Coupe 3.2 Quattro '03
1:31.133 - 395 - Mini Cooper S '07
1:31.404 - 390 - Mini Cooper S Countryman (R60) '11
1:33.806 - 366 - Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 Twin Spark '02

Holden Monaro is faster than the Commie because the back end rotates better. The Commodore feels like it's 4WD, almost.

Alfa 147 '02 is a whole second faster than the '06 despite identical power and weight.

Hey @SuzukaStar!

[ShamelessPlug]

I know you want to push this to 600! :)👍 So if you like, try these cars, they should be pretty close together and are part of the new Track Day Special car list for Makeshift Shuffle:

High End Performance G37
Nismo Fairlady Z Z-tune (Z33) '03
RE Amemiya FD3S RX-7
Amuse S2000 GT1 '04

Thanks in advance!

[/ShamelessPlug]

Keep up the Fun!

My pleasure, @tarnheld

1:16.583 - 560 - Amuse S2000 GT1 '04
1:18.614 - 513 - RE Amemiya FD3S RX-7
1:19.235 - 502 - Nismo Fairlady Z Z-Tune (Z33) '03
1:19.885 - 531 - High End Performance G37

And 1 more for the road...

1:23.646 - 458 - Hyundai Clix '01

That Amuse S2000 definitely has a huge advantage in a race against those other 3 cars, but it can be a little tricky to drive. The RX-7 is much easier to drive fast, as is the Fairlady.

The G37 is a bit of a disappointment. It's 200 kg heavier than the 2nd heaviest car in the group. Still, any car that can pull off sub-1:20 laps at Mid-Field is damn fast in my opinion.

Do you do requests? Because I want to see the following cars to compare to others...

BMW M4 Coupé '14
Chevrolet El Camino SS 396 '67
Fisker Karma EcoSport '12

Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71
Pagani Huayra '13
Aston Martin V8 Vantage '99
Ferrari 458 Italia '09
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren '09
McLaren F1 '94
Pontiac Tempest Le Mans GTO '64

Take your time, you don't need to do it all at once...

Thanks :)

(Red = done / Black = not done)

So M4 is faster than M3 by 0:02.468.

Karma is "slower" than Tesla Model S by just 0:00.125+ only.

And El Camino...
Oh I forgot to include one of the two camero's from 1969 to the my earlier post. sorry...

The tuned AE86 is almost 10 seconds faster than the stock car. Incredible!

The 1974 Countach is sick in GT6...too good, in my opinion. For a Lambo fanboy like me, it's great...but not realistic. Also, PD got the weight wrong, if I'm remembering correctly. They made the LP400 too light.

I just watched your Yellowbird video (again!) and I have to comment on how beautifully you handle the car! I've been driving Ridox's Yellowbird Replica quite a bit tonight which is on CM tires, but even with CS rubber I have trouble handling this crazy animal! I noticed how you blip the throttle repeatedly through some turns. I try this as well, but am not having quite the level of success I desire. This is a very tricky car to drive, you want to keep the weight back if you can, obviously that's why for the repeated dabs of throttle, but sometimes I just find my Yellowbird goes into a drift that I just can not do anything about. It doesn't always mean that I've gone in too hot either. Sometimes the weight shift must just be at that "perfect" position both longitudinally and laterally that the car just drifts like it's on ice and there's nothing I can do but watch the car slam into a wall, or slide into the sand, or whatever. THAT is frustrating.

Anyway, I'm glad to see that you're still testing cars. I know you said you were hanging up the controller after you finish with Midfield, but I really hope you reconsider. There's gotta be another track you'd enjoy setting 600+ lap times on! :sly: :P :D You 'da man SuzukaStar! 👍

Perhaps messing around with the controller sensitivity will help? I have mine set to maximum which is 7. I've tried to drive with it on 1 but I couldn't get the hang of it, like it was just way too slow for me. Maybe 5 or 6 would be better.

Controller sensitivity is only for DS3, right? I drive with a wheel (DFGT).
