Yearh well - I've modded it with a chip and a 160Gb harddrive - but no visible mods

I want to mod mine for easy cleaning of the laser lens. I have a huge problem with DREs. I figure doing a mod like Drift God's PS2, see pic below, would suit me perfect for easy cleaning of the lens.

I haven't got around to it yet, but the Dremel tool is calling my name.

Who would want a pop up tray instead of the motorized one thats seem's to me like going back to the playstation days... I prefer the motorized disc trey any day than the flip up one.

Heh.. you ever try cleaning the lens on a unit with a motorized tray?

Besides, you're forgetting that the "new and improved" slimline PS2 has a flip-top loader.

A player's a player.. who cares how the disc loads, so long as it loads? I don't know about you, but I don't sit there eyeballing my PS2 while I'm playing games.. I tend to keep my eyes on the screen.

because its a $40 mod (with bootdiscs) that allows you to play import and "backup" games.
