Mortal Kombat: Armageddon Announced
Every character in the MK universe included in latest fighter.

February 23, 2006 - In an investor conference call today, Midway announced its upcoming lineup for fiscal year 2006. Chief among those titles listed was Mortal Kombat Armageddon, which should be coming out later this year for the PlayStation and Xbox. According to David F. Zucker, president and chief executive officer of Midway Games, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon will be "the culmination of the franchise," featuring every single character that's ever graced the digital screen in the MK universe.
Gamers will also have the option to take on the fighters of Outworld and the Earth with MK: Armageddon's create a fighter mode, which also allows you to tailor your own fighting style to your liking. No details were given about additional game modes, such as the Konquest mode from MK: Deception and MK: Deadly Alliance. Puzzle Kombat and Chess Kombat from MK: Deception weren't mentioned as well, so it's unknown whether or not they will be included. This marks a return to the fighting genre for the venerated franchise after the action adventure take on the series with Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks.
