Motor City Tunes GT6

Only a question please Hami:when you talk about ballast in the quick tunes you add the exact kg lost with weight reduction...i.e. a car of 1300 kg after weight red 1 is 1200 kg;do you add 100 kg at +/- 50 to re-estabilish the original 1300 stock weight?if not what's the average percentage of ballast to add considering the weight?or which weight distribution do you want to obtain: ex 55:45 ff, 45:55 mr with ballast add?thanks in advance...sorry if my question is a bit stupid

I do not return the car to its beginning weight value. I do full weight reduction on almost all cars and add some back so that I can use it for ballast, if needed. Here are my ranges:
- Heavy cars need full weight reduction to get them between 1400 kg and 1450 kg
- I prefer average weight cars to be between 1200 kg and 1250 kg
- Lighter cars in stock form do not always need weight reductions, but 1000 kg seems to be the magic number

Then for ballast, I do not have a percentage in mind. I tend to try different settings until I get the rotation that I am looking for; example try 10 then 25 then 35 then 50.

What sensitivity level do you recommend ?

Thank you Hami...I usually do weight reduction 1 on my road cars plus hood and window and power up to 20% and obtain a good combination power/weight and good driving. Now with your quick tunes can only improve...i am not a tuner just a sort of soft-soft tuner.thanks again Hami...precious as usual...

Incredible agility and cornering ability. Only needs a tiny bit of more rotation... 👍

Dealt pretty nicely with the bumps and enough power to get 1st place. :)

Hey Hami...I need some help, please.I've tried some of your tunes:spectacular.I'd like to have a r33 tuned by you cause i find it the most attractive but also the most nervous of the skylines.i have tried some setup on gtp but no one fitted to me (not a good driver:-()...i think it need to be tuned not by a tuner but THE TUNER...so if you have some time to spend and want it would be great!!!"a good tuner has not 10000 good tunes but 100 of high quality"thank you in advance whatever will be your decision

Appreciate the kind words about my tunes. I don't do very many requests. I pretty much tune what I use. If I were to look at one of the R33s, which one is best to start with?

Correct! Good Pete!I like the premium possibly aero kit standard front and custom rear with 2" plus inch wheels...old but still very attractive body!thanks for answers

I think that ideal setup should be with SS tires and 500-550 PP...but any choice of the master is good if he decides to do it

This is one challenging car. I drove it a bit today and will work on it a bit more this weekend. This is not a simple car to tune. Doesn't turn in very well. Also has corner exit understeer. Tremendous amount of rear grip.

Thank you Hami...I knew it was a difficult car and that's the reason of your help needed...take your time and thanks again...it's a hard challenge ;-)

Tuned at Midfield Raceway for @delta73. This car is a true challenge. I had to try some extreme settings to make this car happy. Many settings worked on this car that have not worked on any car in the game; the odd camber setting, odd toe setting, extremely low LSD settings, the very specific torque split, the ballast, etc. I hope that you enjoy the ride.

I like the Color of the car 👍 ;) Going to have to try this one!!! Glad to have you Back 👍 👍

I just realized I never welcomed you back. I'm so sorry for that. Been crazy here trying to buy and house so things are just slipping through my mind.
Any case welcome back sir. Is good to see one of the best return. I look forward to chasing your line in the seasonals again. And facin off in the FITT challenges (I still say my chances of beating you in a tuning match up are slim to none and Slim is half way to The Bahamas.)

I am working on a project, just for fun. I still have all of my copies of Gran Turismo 1 through 6. I am writing an article on the changes in physics from GT1 through GT6. The comparison has been fun so far. First I had to compare which tracks and which cars were in all six titles. I settled upon Grand Valley Speedway and the 1989 Mazda Miata. I have built each game version to as close a spec as possible. I am running each car stock then adding my own custom tune.

Maybe I will have this finished by the end of April (which is then the start of my SCCA season).

Ambitious sir I look forward to reading it.

Your little project sounds interesting and I look forward to reading your review.
I'd also like it if you could keep us up to date with how your SCCA season progresses. Are you running in the Miata class again?
