Yea this should be very interesting. Best I could turn in the jaguar was 1:54. Only chance I have is being consistent and lucky.

1:54's is what I assumed everyone should be around when not trying to do Hot Laps. It's a good average pace to try and remain consistent.
Even though people can run 3 or 4 seconds faster than 1:54's I'm predicting it now that people won't last if they try running those speeds every lap in the rain.

I would like to change car to the Subaru :)

Ok

I couldnt keep close to the 4wd vehicles. They just have such better traction off the corners.

Thanks to guido and mrracingline for giving me some ideas to try.
At least i found a happy place with the brake balance i think.
And just turning laps always helps.

It will be a long race and i hate racing in the rain, but we’ll give it a go. Bring on Spa and the Green Hell already!!!
I’ve suffered enough these last few races.

You never know because sometimes a race you do not like and think is going to go horribly wrong turns out to be more fun than you could have ever imagined.
This has happened to me a few times this year.

I've noticed with the Porsche on Heavy Wet tires that it takes around 4 laps before the tires are up to temperature so use caution every time new tires are on.
Brake Balance helps tremendously in the rain as does the fuel map. Pulling a tad bit of power out can save you here once your car has some wear on those tires.

as usual, you were right. 47 laps of intense, close battling with @Standard_FV made it a blast.
Truly wish i hadnt spun as he came out of the pits with only a few laps to go:banghead:. I just got too excited for a close finish and blew it.:(

surprising, it didnt seem like there were many incidents. the start was so clean from what i saw. thanks everyone. such a great group to race with.

See you never know.
I got in on some of that racing with you two. I think you guys let me around a bit to easily but in the rain I understand why. It was a blast for sure.

i had hoped to battle you a bit, i didnt intend to make it easy on you, but i overshot turn 1 like an amateur once you got on my tail.
you were flying off that last corner.

i forgot to save the replay, but for those early risers, before Rinsky gets its done, here is how it went:

Yeah my car was fast in the second half of that track and when I made up most of my time. The first half my car was all over the place.
Watching the replay it looked like you and @Standard_FV were have fun just driving the car and that's not including the racing.

My Gr.3 Nurburgring 24h race is in 2 weeks. For anyone who interested. Here is the basic information again. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ll-gr-3-sat-oct-19th-opens-6-30pm-edt.389789/

I have seen what Rinsky has planned for our December race. You may want to night practice.

Nurburgring 24h 22:30
Gr.3 With BOP
Only 2 Cars Per Manufacturer

*Notice: While I do very much intend to run this race as a private friends only lobby. If don't an enough sign ups. I will have to run this race as an open lobby.

If I have to run this as an open lobby. There will be a Sportsmanship Rating A. I will no longer enforce 2 cars per manufacturer rule. Try to enforce this in an open lobby seems like a unnecessary headache for me.

I would like to thank everyone who raced yesterday. It was a fun race and even better if you were in a AWD car as they dominated the top 3 spots all race. Those of us in RWD cars had our hands full all race but we could still turn some fast laps but just couldn't put the power down as early like those top 3.

@GTP_Guido grab the poll and lead quite a few laps. Then @T5Black grab the lead for a few until @SRT DK Racing took over that position by making good pit choices and never looked back taking the win.

I started in last and worked my way up to 4th I had some good battles along the way but I ended up being by myself most of the race. It was still fun because you had to drive the car all race long and you never knew when or where your car was going to lose traction.
Some races it can start to feel like your on cruise control lap after lap but not this race.

The first post is now updated. We are scheduled to race SPA next month but we all know how that goes. If SPA doesn't drop we will go back to putting Fugi in that spot.

Happy you had a good one yesterday, i couldn't be back in time as we left the casino after 2am, but i didn't come back empty handed, got lucky at Black Jack, my consolation for the night...
I was hoping to be there i would have picked the Veyron, but some other time

The GTR is open again. The person who signed up and chose that car never responded back to me on his PSN and he didn't make this race. If you're wanting it back let me know and I will put you back on the list.
If we get SPA for next month your not gonna to want to miss it.

Congratulations at Black Jack

As far as Spa I'm sure everyone has noticed its featured in the new opening movie, FE cars also appeared there after the last update. It seems to me that PD had intended for Spa to be in the game by now but I'm guessing they had some problems that delayed its introduction, its OK to delay the FE cars as long as needed, no rush there. :D

That's the thing about PD you never know what is going on with them. I really don't look for it to drop in the next update for our race. But and that's a big butt.. if we do get SPA then be ready because I'm going to be driving like a mad man at this track.

I find it odd that Gran Turismo is having such problems getting tracks back that they already had rights. You would think these tracks would want the publicity from being in Gran Turismo. How is being known to the world of racing fans a bad thing?

Gran Turismo Series has introduced me to many race tracks that I didn't know existed before it appearing in Gran Turismo. I didn't know Willow Springs existed before Gran Turismo 5 and I live in this country. Though on the east coast.

You're not going to like this theory but, I thinking they might hold off Spa until the December update. Gran Turismo in past years has tried to do a little extra for the December update. And Spa is highly requested throughout Gran Turismo Community. Spa seems like the perfect present to me.

How do you guys feel about running a point system next year?

I think with this being our last season on GTS we should make it more competitive. I also have another surprise if we do.

I have been working hard on the 2020 season implementing the new changes.
This will be an exciting season for sure.

You know PD just as well as I do. They have promised content in the past and not delivered on it.
Spa is in the new opening in multiple shots. They have also stated in the spring that Spa is fully rendered. They were just waiting on licensing. In August it was leaked that the licensing for Spa has passed. There is plenty of reason for me to believe Spa is coming to GTS.

I thought about it and I like the points idea. I think it will help motivate people to our races. You could also award bonus points foe pole and the posting fastest lap of the race.

The Gr.3 and Gr.4 should be separate championships. I case not everybody wants to run both classes.

Gr.3 and Gr.4 Classes should both get their own longer finale race. And make finale races should double points. Just to keep the standings for the last race interesting. We don't want everyone to have big cushy points gap for the last race.

One question you need to decide though. Should every position pay points?

I could take or leave a point system. Just seems like one more thing to pay attention to.
For me personally, I always liked the more casual approach to these once a month races; Every race stands alone and is a whole new possibility.
If i wanted to be in a series there are several around here I could join for that more competitive/Seasonal type atmosphere with standings/points/etc...

I understand if you want to change things up some though. I think it would change the races and participants though, so be ok with that before you jump in.

Where is everyone anyway? Did they go back to school?

They are either competing the FIA Races or racing in other leagues they view more important because they pay points.

This is why I think we should try a points system to attract people back to the series.

You reading to much into it because I'm not thinking along those lines. That's just to much work and I'm not looking change this Series this much.

This would be a point system for us as most of our members have been here for quite sometime now. I'm definitely not looking to change the participants in our Series. I only have 3 spots open to fill.

Just like you I like the casual feel to our races and every race is a reset for everyone. I'm just trying to find a way to spark some more interest from our members however I do understand I would be riding a fine line if I added a point system along with a payout.

That's why I needed some feedback and I think your right.

Hopefully doing both Gr.4 & Gr.3 next season and letting in multiples of the same Manufacturer will be a big enough change for the better.

Okay, now I'm a little confused about what you're looking for then?

You are talking about doing 2 full championships and I'm talking about keeping the format the same as it has been for the past 2 seasons.
Both classes would be included in the points. I'm not looking to start up or keep up with another series.
It's just something for us to have fun with if I did it at all.
Everything I do with this Series has a laid back approach to it.

I'm not saying starting a new forum. Or anything like that.

I'm suggesting to keep the standings separated because not everyone may want to run both classes. This way thoses who don't to run both classes won't get punished for it. If you know what I mean.

Both classes use the same points system. Just scored separately. Both classes get only 6 races each.

I can help keep track of the standings.

I think everyone here will want to run both classes because most do anyway in other leagues as I see many of our members names in Gr.3 leagues on this forum.

Everyone has been wanting me to do something like this anyway so I really don't see many members at all not wanting to participate.

However that might change if I added a point system so I think @micantony is right on this and I think we should keep it casual like it has always been. This way if members are not great at Gr.3 then it's great practice for them without any negative.

Like I said, I'm good either way, but for me personally, I wont care about the points :-) (I'm competitive anyway, but if others need that motivation, that's great too if we think it might spice things up).

It would be nice to hear perspectives from a bunch of other regular's in how they feel about it; let's give them time to chime in.
