This is a challenge between the 3 street legal tuner versions of Honda's S2000.
Mugen S2000
Spoon S2000
Amuse S2000
(Bold letters=best specs)(Italicized=worst specs)
The first thing we must know are the basics. Horsepower, weight and price.
The Mugen S2000 Has 243hp and weighs 1240kg. With a price tag ringing in at 75,000 cr.
The Amuse S2000 Has 250hp and weighs 1190kg. With the lowest price tag ringing in at 50,000 cr.
The Spoon S2000 Has 271hp and weighs 1100kg. With the highest price tag ringing in at 85,000 cr.
Now lets move on to the drag strip where we will test each cars 0-60mph time and 1/4mile time and speed. All cars were tested with no ASM or TCS and all cars had the gas mashed immediately after the start button had been hit.
1st place: Spoon S2000 0-60mph in 5.583 and the 1/4 mile in 13.882@103mph
2nd place: Amuse S2000 0-60 in 5.666 and the 1/4 mile in 14.307@100mph
3rd place: Mugen S2000 0-60 in 6.200 and the 1/4 mile in 14.672@98mph
Now we move onto the fun test.Well actually..a little boring Top speed. All tests were done on the Top speed challenge woth full throttle applied.
1st place: Spoon S2000 at velocity of 166.28mph
2nd place: Mugen S2000 at a velocity of 158.73mph
3rd place: Amuse S2000 at a velocity of 158.35mph
Now we move onto the final test for this trio. A b-spec lap at Apricot hill. B-spec Bob was at a setting of 3 for this test and his stats remained the same throughout
the testing. They each ran 10 laps.
1st place: Spoon S2000 with a lap time of 1:35:705
2nd place: Amuse S2000 with a lap time of 1:35:996
3rd place: Mugen S2000 with a lap time of 1:38:372
Well there you have it. The Spoon S2000 won the 0-60,1/4 mile Top speed, and had the best lap time. But with a price of 85,000 is it worth it?
The Amuse came in 2nd place in all events except for top speed. But with a price of 50,000 (35,000 less than the Spoon) was it really the best?
The Mugen (poor old mugen) came in 2nd once. That was the top speed challenge. But with a price of 75,000 cr is it even going to enter your mind to buy this car?
If I had to choose a clear winner I would choose the Amuse S2000. Granted the Spoon outruns this car in almost every aspect. 35,000 cr spent on the Amuse will make it surpass the Spoon by a hefty margin. There fore I think that the Amuse S2000 really smoked the competition.
Tell me what you think.
