The size of the memory card makes no difference if you can only have one saved game on it. You need to have a way to remove or move the save game and create a new one.

But thats not very usefull , all the things to get an savegame to work, just get an 32 mb memory card, after a very long time make some space, and continue.

The point of this thread is to find a way to have more than one GT4 save, since the game doesn't support it. The bigger the memory card you have, the more space you have for just one GT4 save. I've offfered an alternative that gives you more space and more individual saves of the game. This is not a difficult concept.

what do you guys think of the new 64 MB Memory card.
And should you Upgrade to 64 MB if you already have 32 MB?
 
I think it sucks! I load 99% of my games from a 250GB HDD Most of my memory save are also there, I can't get GT4 to work though, I have loaded 72 games and 22 games saves, with 130 Gigs left, No more memory cards for me!!!

How are you loading your games from a hard drive? And how are you using the hard drive as your memory card?

I use an exploit program to boot from my memory card, Hd Advance is also stored on my HDD in My PS/2!!! 👍

I agree son,

This is the only way to use a PS2. I also run HDadvance right off the mem card and the game images from the hard drive and store saves to the hd via Winhiip.

Has anyone found a way to run a merged GT4 image from the HD?
 
Hm, I know about this hdloader stuff, because I do it also. But I didn't think you can load the saves from the hdd because most games don't feature this. Only atad games do (like Japanese FFX I believe) If you're going to put game saves on the hdd, might as well move them to your computer by ftp and store them there.
 
I just use the HD as a "swap" medium and yes it is basically the same as storing on the PC. As far as I know, you can't run save from the HD except for the game you mentioned.

I dont buy another memory card because it is highway robbery at 20-25 bucks for 8mb of memory!! It is an arbitrarily inflated price for a memory chip that is no different than a chip that goes in a pc. The only difference is the shape of the board it is soldered to and the socket it fits into!

while Sony costs: 38 Euro = 4, 75 Euro's!!!! per MB , to comparise how much cheaper than the Sony inferior 8 MB card.
then you can use that for all the other saves + one Gt save, and the old one for another GT save!

my vote is for ebay-> I bought an official sony mem card off there for $10 US including shipping. You just have to look for the deals.

Another idea: go in on the 2-pack of memory cards from sony with someone else that wants to buy one. I think they come out to be about $15 US if you go that route.

Yea , but your still stuck with the low 8 mb crads.

So during the game you're still saving to the memory card, but you can copy files from the memory card to the hard drive?

Perhaps I am confused.
